  1. Perhaps I've missed something but as I understand it, Krom_, you had a fautly usb interface - a hardware problem that you said you have resolved. That certainly was a problem for you, though it's not widespread as far as I know. I'm not sure that's a problem that 'must be admitted'. Is there another problem you are having now that points to something serious?
  2. The tuner only works with Input 1. It does not recognize Input 2. That is by design. Since nothing is broken there is no 'solution'.
  3. Yes you can plug any dynamic (not condenser) mic directly into the XLR input. It's expecting a MIC level signal so I don't think a DI box is required - maybe just a 1/4" to XLR adapter.
  4. Do you have a cable connected to the 1/4" guitar jack on the Variax? That is the device power switch.
  5. I would start here: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/computer-based-recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/line-6-monkey-installation-and-faq-r502 http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/computer-based-recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/installing-line-6-software-for-a-macintosh-tig-r243 http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/computer-based-recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/mac-usb-driver-installation-r547 ... and for more general reference links: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/computer-based-recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/
  6. Yes - this sounds very much like a power supply issue. If possible try to get your hands on a new power supply unit. It doesn't have to be the actual Line 6 PSU: https://www.globalfulfillment.net/gfsnet/line6/10Expand.aspx?ProductCode=98-030-0041 ... but it needs to exactly match those specs, especially the DC part. If replacing the PSU doesn't work then I think its an internal h/w problem that needs servicing.
  7. The Pocket Pod is not an audio interface for recording purposes. You need to connect it either to your computer soundcard inputs or, preferably, to a separate audio interface device that Mixcraft can recognize.
  8. If your HD300 output is set to Line I suggest you use the Line Level inputs on the rear panel of the L2t. The Channel Mixer inputs on the L2t are designed for Instrument/Mic level inputs.
  9. Try different USB ports on your computer. The rear panel ones tend to work better than front panel (no internal hub).
  10. Also, make sure your Pod HD device firmware is up to date. The latest release (v2.20) focused on improvement in the L6 LINK communications. Part of that addressed Stagesource speaker modes in stored HD presets.
  11. Make sure you are running current firmware. The Vintage Preamp was added later; it was not in the original device firmware.
  12. Try holding down the right nav key while powering up. If it doesn't start normally, you may see a test screen display. Select REFLASH (or FLASH/MEMORY?). Then run Line 6 Monkey and reinstall the firmware. When prompted, choose to replace existing presets.
  13. Are you running the latest HD500 firmware (v2.20)? This includes improvements to the interaction between HD500 and Stagesource speakers. I believe it addresses speaker modes saved with presets.
  14. Yes - I would try using pre amp models with no cab/mic sim. Also, switch the output from Line to Amp (hardware switch on the HD500).
  15. No - the fix is to have a hardware part replaced in the X3 Live device. Call Line 6 to report this, or open a support ticket, before Jan. 1. I believe this particular issue is covered under a lifetime warranty. You should only have to pay shipping if necessary.
  16. Yes - the HD500 is a hardware audio interface like the UX2. However, your Pod Farm software license may be tied to your UX2. You may have to purchase a new hardware independent Pod Farm license to be able to use it with the HD500.
  17. I suppose it's possible that there's a hardware problem but I really don't see how. There is no way the looper can lose any synchronicity between 'passes' of the loop because there is no synchronicity to begin with. The device has no concept of bars or tempo so there's really no way it can 'fall behind' on different passes. There is no 'right time' for the footswitch triggers to activate; they activate the instant you stomp on them. The likely explanation is that unless you and your drummer are robots your timing and hence your 'beats' will vary from loop to loop. Not much, but enough to notice while overdubbing and, especially, during repeated playback of several overdubbed passes. The longer the loop, and/or the more numerous the overdubs, the more pronounced this discrepancy will be. The looper knows and cares nothing about this.
  18. Until and unless you're having problems, assume it is OK.
  19. As a last chance, I would reinstall the HD Pro firmware. Save any setlists/presets that you want to keep beforehand, and during the firmware update process choose to install all factory presets, discarding the existing ones.
  20. I connect my HD500 to the M20d using one of the two stereo line input channel pairs on the M20d. These are Channels 13/14 and/or 15/16. I use the 1/4" HD500 outputs to these inputs, and assign the M20d HD500 preset as described above. Set the HD500 output mode to Studio/Direct, and use Full rather than Pre amp models in the HD500 presets.
  21. What's the history of your HD Pro device? Have these connections ever worked to your knowledge? Is this a new or used device? Can you return/replace it? There's nothing that can really go wrong, or be tweaked, about these connections. If the HD Pro is powered on these connections should work. If both of them are failing, and you have confirmed that the cables and connected devices are not at fault, then the only remaining answer is that your HD Pro is faulty and needs servicing.
  22. Maybe a stupid question, but are you sure you are using the proper input jacks on the HD Pro? Both the VDI and the FBV connect to the HD Pro with RJ-45 connectors. It would be easy to mix them up if you are using a regular RJ-45 cable with the JTV rather than a shielded VDI cable. Check the input labels on the back of the HD Pro.
  23. 1) Set the HD500x preset Input to Variax. 2) Make sure the L2t is set to Reference mode, and set the HD500x Output mode to Studio/Direct. Use the Full (not Pre) Amp model in the HD500x preset.
  24. Yes - that's normal.
