Love mine. Like the Fractal stuff I used to own and the Kemper I own, it's a box full of amps and effects. The amps are like real ones, you tweak them, plug them into different cabs until you find your favorites. Some settings and cabs you will love, some you won't. However, it's better than having to buy all those $1000-$10000 and up amps and cabs one or more at a time and then trying to sell them because you can't afford them. Helix and other modelers, I get to keep the good and even the crappy amps and cabs in case I one day grow to need that tone, too. Portable music store...

Yeah, at some point it becomes overkill with that many to choose from... You don't wanna know how many Kemper commercial profiles I have. LoL!

Yeah, I have an X32 rack mixer and an SD16 digital snake stage box. Both have Midas preamps and I love love love that rig for the ultra portable and even large house PA. The Android 3rd party app puts everyone on Wi-Fi into a router I keep in the rack and everyone does their own monitor mix.

I always uninstall the old version of helix and drivers and the updater before I ever run the new installers.

Yeah, only reason I got rid of the Axe II and the AX8 is I got everything I needed from the Helix and Kemper but with easier interfaces.

Helix amps sound nothing like HD or other POD amps. Gotta agree with user error. I've owned a ton, Axe FX Ultra, Axe FX II XL+, Kemper, HD500, X3 Live, Helix, Vox Tonelabs, etc... Anyone that subs their noses at Helix modeling is either a fanboy of something else, or doesn't know how to use this gear very well. Fractal, Helix, and Kemper are all operating on a high level, and it's really mostly personal preference and such at this point.

Nah... I had done Axe II XL+ and now AX8. I've just gotten to old and lazy for Fractal now. I spend entirely to much time tweaking versus playing. I finally settled on Helix and bought another Kemper for those change of pace days and jamming at the house and in the studio... It was a nice piece if equipment, but it's just not enough of a thrill for me to have 3 modelers. Sorry, cliff, the other two just happen to be my faves and especially with snapshots and a Mesa MkIV... WHOOP!

Obviously Glenn is a MAJOR beta tester. LoL!

Guess I'm not regretting selling my AX8... Hehehe... Still got Kemper, but that's just a different beastie... :P

Buy one NOW... And load it with 2.0 firmware as soon as you rip it out the box! LoL!
