  1. HI Clayton, You should start your own thread instead of posting the same thing in 4 different ones. If your "Line 6" (an HD version) is rebooting you should connect it to the L6 Monkey and perform a "reflash" on the unit. If that doesn't work run a search for your model of HD & Safe Mode Reflash (or post the model here and help will arrived) Sometimes reinstalling the firmware fixes the reboot problem. (I have read that it can be caused sometimes by turning the unit off while still connected via usb to your PC). I don't know if you bought it used or new but either way if reflashing the memory does not resolve the issue you will have to open a support ticket for repair: http://line6.com/support/tickets/ If you have to do that hopefully its under warrenty. BTW - last resort would be trying another PS but it has to be the one designed for the unit -> Model DC-3G. -Bill
  2. IT should be good to go my man. As long as its not registered to the old owner you won't even need to contact L6. Off hand only issue I can think of is if you are running a Mac with the latest OS upgrade Monkey issues are being worked on. The model packs really biring some life into it btw but it does pretty good on its own. -B
  3. It looks like its time for a support ticket because if its not the PS it is something internal maybe the on/off switch. http://line6.com/support/tickets/ -Bill
  4. Hey there fellow L6érs, I uploaded a basic metal tone for those in need of one. I've tried some EQ ideas (like knocking the 3k htz down and some botton end tightening) but those are still a work in progress. Feel free to offer changes on it. Basic info: HD Bean (I'll edit the tone info when I figure it out). http://line6.com/customtone/tone/693860/ Riffworks T4 (thanks to Brazzy for putting that software on my radar - and The Brink lossened a bowel - 8string on that?) ESP H200 Should be in C Lydian (should :) ) Exapmle of use: https://soundcloud.com/billbee-2/ode-to-brazz Hope you like it! -Bill
  5. Well to be fair my man - it would require a massive update to Custome Tone AND for the users who uploaded them to upload a sample AND even then alot depends on the guitar/player for the tone. I''ve been grateful for some of the gems in there and try to use them as starting points for new tones of my own. Even though you say your not good at 'puters if you can run Gearbox you can build your own and upload them too. Let us know I am always on the look out for some new ones. Regards! Bill PS: Welcome to the forums too BTW :)

    pod 400hd

I can see why that would make you think twice, my man. The problem here is what was happening when it happened and is there a common factor in the three instances. Off hand (and its a big IIRC) I have "read" that it has happened whe turning off the HD with the USB still connected to the PC. Remember that is guess work on my part. Only other thing off hand would be a hinky power supply. -B
  7. Something must have changed somewhere - do you have a different L6 account? Its no biggie though - I am sure you could "ballpark" the date as there is no warrenty due to the age. Unless the problem you are having is with something else like Pod Farm where it might be a matter of running the License Manager. You can always shoot a support ticket to L6: http://line6.com/support/tickets/ -B
  8. The easiest way is to use the XTL connected to your PC and use Gearbox for editing. Customtone should have most of the cover tones needed so you can DL one open it in Gearbox (hope its close so you won't have to edit much) and then save it to the XTL user slot of your own. The Gearbox manual will help you from there. -B
  9. OK I'll take the bait :) What about the Pod Studio has ruined your creativity? -B
  10. Good call Brazzy - I had to use that proggie before too. Amazing all the lollipops windows collected. -B
  11. Man that puppy has some options :) I normally use the FX return bypassing everythng but the power section. When in doubt check the manual out. BTW turn the volume way down on the HD first as it will be LOUD and be sure to play with the output modes on the HD - combo, studio direct, etc... see what different ear candy you can make. -B
  12. Cool my man, I'll go check it out and give you a vote tomorrow! Edit: Done - hopefully L6 Legal won't be running around the office sputtering and muttering too much :) -B
  13. Thanks Brazzy! I found Riffworks easy to lay a jam track down to and I owe to you my man! I still like Reaper but thats a work in progress! I owe you some wah sometime :) -Bill
  14. High gain? I'm getting there my man! https://soundcloud.com/billbee-2/mixmash \m/ B \m/
  15. and based on your "Wah"nderful number I am finally going to order a new pot for the ole wah! Is that a Beat Buddy I spy with my eye? Been gassing for one... what is your take on it? -B
  16. Hmmmmm..... or planning for legacy issues with different OSs that haven't been released (or even conceived). (I do have to work on my old Rotovibe tonight and I sort of wish I could just connect it and reflash TBH) :) -B
  17. Who knows my man - sometimes the simple things are not the easiest seen I guess :) Thanks for the mirror. -B
  18. Yep - but you may be able to save them. IIRC either Monkey gives that option or try getting into Gearbox to do it. Hope it works - I learned the hard way and back them up periodically now. -B
  19. Alright you Filthlyanimal :) Don't panic just yet - it may just be a matter of reflashing the firmware on that puppy. Did the L6 Monkey detect the HD? If so try (going off memory for my HD500 here): So IIRC with the USB cable "unplugged" start the HD with the left down key on the directional keypad then connect it to the PC for reflash. If that doesn't take try it on a different usb port (one of the rear ones). Let us know what happens. -Bill
  20. Hi There and welcome to the forums (though I wish it was under better circumstances). I would reflash the firmware: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/pod/pod-20-podxt-family-pocket-pod-floorpods/pod-xt-series-factory-reset-reflash-and-firm-r491 I hope that clears it up for you - L6 Monkey will give you the instructions when you connect. Let us know the results. -Bill
  21. Still it could be worth a shot suggesting it. This is where you would do it: http://line6.ideascale.com/ Would be cool if it was revamped a bit :) -B
  22. I'll try and give it a go this weekend - got practice tonight and the boys are not too pitch shifting friendly - I thought it would liven Tom Petty up a tad myself :) Thanks for the tips! -Bill
  23. My buddy has a Hellraiser and a C-1 Diamond which I got to fondle a few times. I do like the necks on the Schecters - nice feel and the stock pu's were pretty nice. Dig the drill press cartoon too :) I finally got around to jamming the X3 and Riffworks - nice combo easy to lay down ideas to jam with. Happy Bird-Day to you and yours too! -Bill
  24. Hey Brazzster - was trying to check this out last night but the high winds were killing connects. Will see if things are net friendy tonight. Looking forward to hearing the EHX wah - been gassing for one. My old Tech21 Killer Wail just ate its pot again (not in a good way!) :) Love those Schectors too! -B
