I remember the one where it was sitting on shelf for weeks as it was lost. L6 did the guy right in the end be sure to put a bug in their ear. -B

Yep it can be tough to get a super duper high gain crunch like the albums have. They have alot of production going on in the studio too. But you should be able to get something nice. The above tips will help you get in the ball park but you are still going to have to tweak it to your ears. Be sure to try the different output modes like studio direct or combo front. Limit verbs/delays and put some compression up front to keep some tight palm mutes going. Piggybacking on Alex's mic suggestion of cabs - try the GT75 loaded cab (can't remember the model off hand) nice tight punchy speaker. If you put the post EQ in also try rolling off the uber high mhz. -B

Inexpensive recording software
BillBee replied to johnny_cass's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Hey There Dooode :-) Check out Reaper (sort of free and real inexpensive) - and Riffworks T4. Google will find them and they are pretty good. Riffworks T4 is proably the easiest to get started with. -B -
Gotcha my man - never use them so Stereo Ins are not on my personal radar. Good to know though. -B

Can't update Line 6 Monkey on Mac OSX Yosemite
BillBee replied to BlueD's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Hey Fellas not a Mac dude but incase you haven't seen it this thread has a bunch of Mac and Monkey discussion: http://line6.com/support/topic/9951-pod-x3-live-osx-yosemite/ Maybe there is something in there which could help you out. -B -
Yep the MS-70 is pretty sweet. I've used a Ms50 for a dump in bag open mic/jam night box. The Zoom G3 is also pretty packed but its footprint is probably M5 size but it will do 6fx. I really haven't looked into midi too much with the HD but they might be able to be chained off stage (in a vented, fan cooled box/rack) and a 3rd party midi controller used as a master. Does seem like alot of lugging :-) -B

It should have a green light my man. DC-3g: (POD HD 300/400/500 and HD Bean): 9V DC, 3A (3000mA) Plug length: 15mm, Diameter: 5mm, Center Pin: 2mm. 9v DC. -B

You have to pull its finger in order to reflash the pootware. -B

Nothing really - you won't be getting any warrenty repairs on a used unit and there are no model packs or Pod Farm use. If you do hit problems the L6 guys are good at straightening stuff like that out. -B

Well for starters - just use the left out of the Bean into the "in" of the fx loop (IIRC should be on the rear). Prior to flipping anything on turn the pods volume down as you will be at full tilt through the power amp. or set your amp as neutral as you can - tones all at 50% no verb (fx off if it has them) on a clean channel and go in the front. Again start with the volume down low. You will have to see (hear) what output setting you like on the HD - studio direct, combo etc... After you get get that under your belt there is an excellent thread here somewhere by spaceatl on how to set up the HD Bean for a 4cm using the mic input. If I get a chance I'll try and dig er up :) http://line6.com/support/topic/2177-4-cm-the-hd-pod-bean-oh-yes-this-works/ FBV - footcontroller - if on the fence the answer is "yes" since there is no midi (why?!?) it is your only control option. I like the FBV over the Express but both can serve a purpose. That should get you started. -B EDIT: Yep what ole lightning finger said! :)

Ux2 Not working-24dbfixed no lights
BillBee replied to Chrome765's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
That does blow. Normally a bricked UX2 will have the meters pegged and red lights flashing IIRC. http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/58894 Similar prob. I like my UX2 but still love my old XT Live as well so I hear ya (lets hope we don't get jynxed) :) -B -
Namm 2015... there it is I said it!

Have you tried editing it direct on the unit itself? Might be a simple setting needs to be changed. -B

Hmmmmm.... ya know L6 could make an app for this: http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/657/is-it-possible-to-hear-radio-broadcasts-through-your-teeth -B

Ugh can't do it even though that if a awesome price - the ole lady would crush some things  I wonder why the blow-out, could there be some news on the way...... hmmmmmm.... -B
-
Yep - it looks like its going to the shop my man. Normally a reflash fixes that problem but you've done all the things us mortals can try. You can always try L6 direct: http://line6.com/support/tickets/ -B

Ux2 Not working-24dbfixed no lights
BillBee replied to Chrome765's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Hey - not sure what to tell you as its either the PC or the UX2. If the UX2 doesn't work with a different cable or with a different USB port I would try (if you can) it on another pc. At the least it will narrow down what is having the issue. You should send in a support ticket if no one pops in with a better suggestion. http://line6.com/support/tickets/ I was hoping a uninstall/reinstall would reinitialize the drivers. You can try manually pointing the device to the driver in the L6 folder. Sorry couldn't help you more. B -
The Pod Farm tones are different from the HD (as you know) the Big Bottom amp is one of my favorites from the XT (IIRC Metal Pack) and X3. You can try using the treadplate and EQ up the bottom end a bit. You will probably have to pop a Tube Screamer in front to do a little gain stacking. -B

Hey there my man, Nabbed an HD Bean so I could leave the HD500 packed at home. The Bean has the FBV input so you are good there. The file conversion has worked pretty good going to and fro the HD500 so there is no reason it won't work for the Pro. IIRC there were some issues between the 300, 400 HD going to and from the higher models. http://line6.com/support/topic/2164-pod-hd-tone-conversion-utility/ -B

Really good my man, mellow tunes have to be done. My fave is still Big Bad Joe. I can feel it in the air....... ;)

You can try: Q: How do I perform a factory Reset on the Spider IV series amplifiers? A: Hold the “A†button as you power the unit on, then press the presets encoder once. But probably you will need to shoot a support ticket in as that does not look good. http://line6.com/support/tickets/ -B

The Devil in the purple suede shoes sez "Hmmmm gotta test it to make sure its all good" 17 to go! -B

Parece Pod Farm 2 no está autorizado para su equipo. Cuando se utiliza el administrador de licencias con el UX1 deberÃa decirle si lo es o no. Usted podrÃa tratar de POD Farm 1. Perdón por el traductor :) -B
