  1. Has anyone here actually watched the Anderton's review? The Guy clearly states that an Android version of the app is on it's way. Yes, I agree Line 6 should have had it ready at launch but hey that's the way thing go sometimes. It probably wasn't ready in time for the NAMM show, probably due to the time it takes programming around all the bugs in Android (no I'm defenitly not an Apple fan, wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole). Just stop fussing about it and wait for the Android app, it's coming.
  2. Well, the DT-25 performed very nicely tonight. The JJ's sound great! A bit clearer and an little bit more definition than the Electro Harmonix. My presets needed a bit of tweaking because of it but I was very content in the end B) of course it could also be just because they are new. I don't know really. T really hear the difference you would need two DT-25 amps with different tubes in them.
  3. I changed tube today and all is well :) I started with measuring the bias on the old ones and Tube 2 was on 7,6 mV! So, I took it out and found the following: The glass of the tube is actually melted B) Anyway, I still had some barely used JJ's and decides to give them a try. I'm rehearsing tonight and can't wait to hear what they sound like! I'll keep you posted. P.s. Apparently I can't have the picture in the text without it also showing up under "attached thumbnails". A bit annoying <_<
  4. The DT-25 Works fine fore larger stages as well. Everything gets miked and It's loud enough for on stage monitoring. In my experience anyway.
  5. I'll keep you posted, thanks!
  6. I don't know really. I put new ones in somewhere at the beginning of 2013 i think. We try to practice once a week, so I guess we played about 35 tot 40 times for 4 hours. That would be 140 - 160 hours. The I play a bit at home so I guess 200 hours would be a realistic guess.
  7. Great! I see now. There are two channels (A and B ). Each channel can be one of four "programs" consisting of any combination of the parameters. Wonderful! :) Thanks for clearing this up.
  8. That is indeed the case, as far as I understand. Don't forget that without the POD the DT is Just a "simple" Two channel amp.
  9. The hum gets worse in Class A.
  10. If you ask me the negative feedback is changed by relay switching, with or without connected PODHD. The difference is that without the POD, the DT also changes Pre amp modelling. With the POD connected the pre amp is comming from the POD and stays as is.
  11. Thanks guys! I don't know if there is a difference between A and AB. I'll check it out and keep you posted. I will also check the tubes. I have recently had a blown fuse so there may be something with the tubes indeed.
  12. My DT-25 suddenly started humming loudly in triode mode. The penthode mode is still as quiet as ever. Nothing really influences the hum. Even if I turn the master down completely it hums just the same. What could be causing this?
  13. I use some rubber band and the cap of some lip balm :D The rubber band is there to make it a tight fit for the cap so it will stay there. It's kind of stupid but it works great! When I pull the cap off I can still use the looper.
  14. 1. This is also one reason I use one signal path and put everything in it. That way the mixer comes last and I can use it to boost the signal without the danger of clipping something coming after it. 2. When you use a DAW meter through USB I presume the driver should not have th +18db checked and the "record send level" at full?
  15. I have no gaps with the G5 when switching effects on or off. Only when changing presets, which I never do since I can have 8 effects in one preset plus the tube boost and an effect under the expression pedal. That adds up to ten additional effects. Quite enough :) I actually only use 4 plus an EQ which has become the oh so missing global EQ B)
  16. I recently introduced a Zooom G5 into the effects loop of my HD500X. Totally loving it! The tube boost is really sweet :) I did need to make a small platform to elevate it so i could position it behind de HD.
  17. Actually I have another reason for putting everything in path A and using guitar/variax input settings. The reason is that this way I only need to change the volume setting on one channel in the mixer when I need to tweak the volume. I don't like using the amp volume because sometimes when I want to lower the volume on a patch the knob on the POD is near max. If you then turn the knob the volume will first jump to max. This can result in som scary lollipop (pardon my French). Using the mixer volume, by turning the little knobs works great because these just adjust the volume frome wherever it is set. I wish all the knobs on the POD worked like that. Anyway, using both channels would mean adjusting both channels in the mixer so when I don't need the two paths I put everything in Path A for this reason.
  18. I agree, it's a great update for DT amp users. It's a pitty it wasn't more yet but I also feel there will be more coming.
  19. Thanks for the zip. That saves me the trouble of searching! :D
  20. If you could get the tone from this track you would really make me the "happiest guy on earth" Zappa really had killer tones! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uf4bjByMcvE I would also really love the solo sounds of this track (3:24 and especially 7:15). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AFT6O91Rqs
  21. I have had the same situation a couple of times myself at rehearsals using the HD500(x) and DT-25 (no computer). I somehow got the patch saved with the correct volume in the end but don't quite know how. I do think it's a bug and am curious how many people have had the problem and of course if and how they fixed it.

    Mesa Boogie

If you go to the download area you can find a pdf called POD HD Model Gallery. There you find a description of all the models. The Mesa Boogie is called Treadplate in de HD
  23. Yes, Bogner Magic! From the start I understood that in LVM the DT uses full models but somehow (using Bogner Magic) as the volume goes up the tubes take over more and more. I can't remember where I read this but I do know it was from Line 6.
  24. Take a look at this, it's not a real hard case but it's very nice and very protective. It fits the HD500 like a glove :D http://www.skbcases.com/music/products/proddetail.php?id=589&c=85&o=&s=75
  25. Just right click and save as. It will save it as .htm for some strange reason but if you change the extension to h5e or h5s everything will be dandy ;)
