If you mean a sequencer in the sense of a MIDI sequencer, no. There's a basic Looper, called "Looper" in the manual. Not sure what you mean by a random filter, but the new Glitch delay does some crazy random stuff, and many of the other effects get pretty random (to my ears) with extreme settings, and combining effects with extreme settings can get pretty random and crazy.

If you want stereo, yes. Remember not to place any MONO effects after the FX Loop.

As I understand the way the BIAS Head works, there's only one "Channel" in the traditional sense. What you're actually changing is the BIAS PRESET. IIRC, when using BIAS SW, you do this by assigning a Program Change Number (PC#) to the Preset. Again IIRC, the BIAS HEAD is configured using the BIAS AMP SW. Years after I decided that I hate Positive Grid, they still have one of the world's worst web sites. Designed to SELL, not SUPPORT. If You have a link to the BIAS HEAD Manual (I'm not sure it exists) or the BIAS AMP SW Manual (I had a link, but it no longer works), I might be able to help you more, but otherwise all I can do is tell you how MIDI and Command Center work with PC#s. For starters, you're mis-using the term BANK. What you mean is PRESET. When you load a Preset or change Snapshots within a Preset, the Instant Commands (lightning bolts) are sent to the external device (BIAS HEAD). When you load a Preset in HXFX, you can have each Snapshot set to send a different PC#, thus changing the Preset on the BIAS HEAD. HXFX has, what, 6 Snapshots per Preset? You can also set the Footswitches to send SPECIFIC PC#s or, if the BIAS HEAD allows it, whatever CC# (Control Change) it needs for Preset Previous/Next. There's no way, in Command Center, to have a single FS send more than one PC#. Questions? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's four examples of why I hate Positive Grid. I have BIAS AMP PRO, BIAS AMP 2 LE and BIAS FX PRO. I also have most of the other major Amp Modeler SW - Amplitube, Guitar Rig, THU, S-gear and others. BIAS AMP PRO has MIDI connections in SETTINGS>AUDIO, but no apparent way to use MIDI. The manual doesn't mention it either. BIAS AMP 2 LE doesn't have MIDI. You have to upgrade to PRO, and I'll be damned if I ever give them another penny! BIAS FX, has MIDI, but an absolutely AWFUL implementation, and you can't (AFAIK) use any version of BIAS FX with BIAS HEAD. IF you could use BIAS FX with BIAS HEAD, you wouldn't (necessarily) NEED an HXFX! Sorry, I know that doesn't help you. Rant over.

Helix Floor has a Ground Switch on the back. Try that. Next, make sure that the Helix and your Amp and whatever else is in the circuit are all plugged into a quality EMI/RFI filtered surge strip, and that the ground on the wall socket it's plugged into is good - you can get a cheap tester at any HW store, Radio Shack or Wal-Mart. Ground loops suck, and are a PITA to troubleshoot!

When using L6 Link to a Powercab Plus model (I have PC212), you can do whatever sounds best to you. BUT..... The USUAL ways (include a screenshot of the manual page if it says otherwise) are: Use an Amp WITH Cab or IR in FRFR MODE. OR Use an Amp WITHOUT cab/IR in SPEAKER MODE. OR Use an Amp WITHOUT cab/IR ON HELIX, in USER IR MODE, with an IR loaded on the Powercab. The only time that using a PREAMP is recommended is when using Helix into a Tube Amp Return, as you only do that when you want the sound of the Tube Amp's Power Amp. and using a FULL Helix Amp would color that in an in-authentic way. That said, I almost always use a FULL AMP into the return of my 6v6 Tube Amp (on those rare occasions when I use it), because I find that the PREAMP models sound thin and nasty (not nasty in a good way).

Actually, that's the way it's supposed to work. A parameter should not be affected by a Snapshot UNLESS it's ASSIGNED to SNAPSHOTS. Yet, with a parameter assigned to FOOTSWITCH 1, MIN 5 MAX 10, If I save a Preset with a different Value, say, 8, that Value will be recalled by that SNAPSHOT, even though it's assigned to a Footswitch, NOT SNAPSHOTS! You may have discovered a BUG! I'm attaching a demo preset, if anyone can explain this? Snapshot Bug.hlx

Elephantstomp - I think you don't understand the difference between STOMP Mode and SNAPSHOT Mode. Your presets MAY work fine IN STOMP MODE (don't have time right now to test), but NOT in SNAPSHOT MODE. OP wanted (unless I misunderstood) to change Presets (using Preset Next) using a SNAPSHOT, in SNAPSHOT MODE. My apologies if I'm misunderstanding, but in SNAPSHOT MODE, neither of your presets select a different PRESET by pressing a SNAPSHOT.
-
No, No, No, that only works in STOMP mode! Command Center doesn't CARE what Mode you're in. There ISN'T a Mode in which all of the LEDs are BLUE! The LEDs in Snapshot mode are OFF except for the ACTIVE Snapshot! When you assign the FS to HX Preset>Next the LED DOES NOT TURN RED! The FS in the display will say PRESET. IN STOMP MODE! FS commands are NOT activated by Snapshots except for certain CC and NOTE Toggling commands. NOT PRESET COMMANDS!

How do I get my user defaults from HX Floor into HX Native?
rd2rk replied to ryansalmond's topic in Helix
The only way I see to do that at this time is to use Favorites as a workaround. You should post an idea on Ideascale, maybe call it "Export/Import User Defaults". -

I think you mean "Favorites". In HX Edit: In the Left Pane, Select "Favorites". Select the Favorites you want to Export. Select "Export". In the File Dialog that pops up, create a folder for your Favorites (or navigate to it if you've already created the folder). Click OK. In Native: In the Left Pane, Select "Favorites". Select "Import". Navigate to your "Favorites" folder. Select the Favorites you want to Import. Click Open. -

If, by user defaults, you mean Global Settings, then no, it's not a thing. The Global Settings are HW related and Native is SW. -
Normal. They're working on it for a future update.

In his OP, he wanted to use a SNAPSHOT mode button to go to Preset NEXT. In his most recent post, he wants to use a SNAPSHOT mode button to go to a SPECIFIC Preset. I don't see HOW to use a SNAPSHOT mode button (emphasis on "a SNAPSHOT mode button", singular, one press) to do either. Do tell HOW you do it. Maybe attach a demo Preset? When a Snapshot loads, it sends Instant Commands and any Toggling commands assigned to Stomp mode buttons. Using Instant Commands, you can send a Program Change to an external device or SW, but I see no way that you can change presets WITHIN the HXS (using Instant Commands).

No problems with that one either. I'm going to suggest that you perform a full Factory Reset: That should clear any weirdness from the 3.0 update. Then update to v3.01. That gets you the latest greatest. If you still have the problem, open a Support Ticket.

Snapshot 1 - all blocks ON except Dual Pitch Snapshot 2 - all blocks ON except Rotary Vibe Snapshot 3 - all blocks ON except Dual Pitch and Rotary Vibe You only have one stomp active, which Toggles the Delay and Reverb. All snapshots work as expected, that is, switching from one to another the blocks are as above. I am not seeing the behavior that you are describing. Global Settings>Preferences>Snapshot Edits = DISCARD: In ANY Snapshot, if I Toggle delay and reverb OFF, then switch Snapshots, those effects, come back on. If I then return to the CHANGED Snapshot, it loads in it's default (SAVED) state. The changes have been DICARDed. If I change presets WITHOUT SAVING THE PRESET, then reload the preset, everything reverts to it's SAVED state. The above is expected behavior. If I change Global Settings>Preferences>Snapshot Edits to RECALL: In ANY Snapshot, if I Toggle the delay and reverb OFF, then switch Snapshots, they come back ON (SAVED state). If I then go back to the original Snapshot (where I Toggled delay/reverb OFF), delay and reverb are OFF (CHANGED state). The changes have been RECALLed. If I change presets WITHOUT SAVING THE PRESET, then reload the preset, everything reverts to it's SAVED state. The above is expected behavior. I am not seeing the behavior that you are describing, and can not duplicate the problem. Want to try a different preset?
-
The "E" indicates that the saved preset has changed, which it has. You changed Snapshots. If you make any other changes, and you want the snapshots to return to their default (saved) settings when you do that (make changes) and then switch snapshots, then go to Global Settings>Preferences>Snapshot Edits and set it to DISCARD. However, if you SAVE the Preset after changing ANYTHING, the changes will be saved, and if you have changed snapshots, the default snapshot will be the one you were in when you did the save.

AFAIK, the issue has been resolved, but I have no idea how long ago. Since you already own the device, there's no point in worrying. If it fails, they'll fix it under warranty regardless of whether you're the original owner.
-
Update to 3.01 (UPDATE TO HX EDIT 3.0 FIRST! FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!). If you still have a problem, open a support ticket. I have no such problems.
-
On the Helix Floor, the HW has not changed. On the LT there was a problem with the Exp Pedal on early units. If you get a bad one, they'll fix it under warranty regardless of whether or not you're the original owner. You MAY have to pay shipping, I'm not sure about that. All devices in the Helix family can be updated to the current FW.

No. If you press two buttons together, then FS3 that, will work, but no way with a single press.
-
My point was that tube amps hum, it's the nature of the beast and, for accuracy's sake, L6 modeled it.

I reported it as a duplicate, but don't know if that will accomplish anything, and don't see a way to delete.
