  1. This version has the distortion in both channels. pacozaldivar.hlx
  2. See the attached preset. Left Output is hi-freq w/distortion, Right Output is Low-Freq w/Cab. The Mixer Block is hard panned L/R, adjust levels and panning as needed. pacozaldivar.hlx
  3. There's a gadget called a "BOME Box" that goes between a controller and a controlled device. It can be programmed to intercept a MIDI message and transmit whatever you want instead. You might look into that.
  4. All or nothing. Disable MIDI PC Tx for nothing.
  5. HX Stomp only sends the PC# that corresponds to the Stomp preset - 01A = 000; 01B = 001; etc. IIRC, it will even send that PC# when the preset is called from an external midi controller, so if you go with plan B, you'll likely want to turn OFF MIDI PC Tx.
  6. If you want the Volume to be ON when you load a preset, save it that way, same as any other effect.
  7. Yes but requires a midi footswitch with the ability to send CC#s. See page 57 of the manual. Google midi footswitch to see the many flavors.
  8. Since everybody else seems to be OK with this, I'll bow out.
  9. Before you went back and edited it, you had it right. You're not winning, on so many levels. And now you're starting to sound like a troll. r2d2? SO lame.
  10. Tariffs are the factual cause. Your comment was politics. Now we're trying to make light of it, and you're wanting to argue? THAT'S why we don't talk politics here. Quit while you're ahead!
  11. Yippie! Though I fear something terrible happened to our candidate in Canada......
  12. Have you tried reinstalling HX Edit? Factory reset?
  13. Are you talking about the Fremen presets bundle? If so, they're just presets so, yes, they can be opened in HX Edit.
  14. Any Helix device can be used with HX Edit.
  15. If you like the way something (ANYTHING) sounds in a YT video, it's worth finding one to try. If you BUY something based on the way it sounds in a YT video, make sure you have return privileges.
  16. BUT.. In Global settings/Preferences/Snapshot Edits needs to be set to RECALL: 2 Snpsht Edits Determines whether or not any edits made to a snapshot (block on/off, parameter control, Command Center, tempo) are remembered when returning to that snapshot. When set to "Recall," any snapshot edits are recalled when jumping from snapshot to snapshot, and appear as you last left them. When set to "Discrd," any snapshot edits are discarded when jumping from snapshot to snapshot, and appear as the preset was last saved. If you want to save changes made to a snapshot while Snapshot Edits is set to "Discrd,” press SAVE twice before selecting another.
  17. All of the above. Hardware monitoring is where it's at. If you set the ASIO Configuration in Reaper to "Extra Small" you'll get a buffer setting of 64 samples and RTL of around 12.5ms. That's on an i7-7500/16gb W10 machine. At 128 samples it goes up to just over 20ms. 256 samples took it to 34ms, and I had to go all the way to 512 samples to get to 58ms. Definitely check the ASIO Configuration if you decide to use Native or some other VST.
  18. You might want to fix the thread title - LFR-112. Not that it'll help a lot. The place most of us (in the U.S.) go to try stuff out is Guitar Center, and they don't carry it. Apart from Thomann, I don't see anybody carrying it in the U.S. Maybe there's somebody in Europe who's actually tried one? There might be someone on the Fractal or Kemper forums who've tried it. I checked out a couple of the Laney YT vids. Didn't sound all that good. Doesn't help that they're touting it as 400 watts, which is probably peak. Thomann says 200 watts. BUT... it has a cool LED light over the logo! Maybe it's like hot rod parts - "Chrome air filter covers double horsepower!" :-)
  19. Input impedance is what the effect mfr designed his device at, so that it gets the sound he wanted by loading the pickups a certain way. IOW, I don't really know why the FX mfrs used the input impedance values they did, but you DO NOT have to match your guitar's output impedance. If you set it to AUTO, Helix matches the input impedance to the specs of the first active effect in the chain.

    HX Stomp Silent

It's a computer thing. Happened with previous versions too. Just reboot. If it happens often, open a support ticket.
  21. If you're plugged directly (by cable) into the Stomp, which is plugged directly into your amp or powered speakers, there should be no more than 1.8ms latency which is, IIRC, the time it takes to convert your analog signal to digital and back.

    FIZZ

So, then, we're all in agreement. Regardless of motive, the never-ending battle against FIZZ is a GOOD THING!
