  1. loved my 600 back in the day... still have a soft spot for it... but i was never playing it so i passed it on... i had added a bone nut and some planet wave autotrims.... i do like the stickers, mine was the sunburst model, so it didn't lend itself to that very well. it was actually still mint after owning it like 7 years and playing the crap out of it.
  2. there's no supported way to do this outside of the edit program. and that includes there not being a sysex dump feature.
  3. the 69 headstock is beautiful.. so glad that they did not go with the James Tyler headstock... now THAT's ugly... (and the man makes GREAT guitars) the 69, has grown on me alot since the first time i saw it... I have a 59, aesthetically i like the 3 way switch... but i don't really like the way it works with the models... in the dream rig context, i can just force the mode though. I voted JTV myself.
  4. no simple solution... the FBV gets power through that RJ45... so for the most part wireless is not practical, and certainly not simple.
  5. you can always walk it into a local repair shop if you have one... the fix would be on their schedule... but it sounds like just some internal adjustment or something and not a parts issue... so it should be quick enough.
  6. right... and you see a few people saying they prefer 2.0... and a few more are probably too busy playing and enjoying 2.0 (or even 1.9) to care... just saying... none of this is very scientific... and of course people that are happy with the update, aren't hanging around to preach to the choir...
  7. it was updated for the 500x, FYI. http://www.jzab.de/content/pod-hd
  8. what device are you talking about? the answer is probably no though... because anything limited to 2GB in the first place, is usually a technical limitation of the hardware at the time... or the required format of the card.
  9. is tone2 locked? (3rd knob under display, shows padlock locked\unlocked) if its locked, unlock it and change presets... then you're free! this setting will stay even if you flash the firmware..
  10. yes its compatible... and no it can't be used.... the usb/pc connection is pretty much the difference between the MKI and the MKII
  11. when it tells you its unsafe, i think there is a link for details something similar that you can expand which will give you a run anyway option.
  12. nothing to download.... its already part of the existing software... buying a license just unlocks it. if you see it in your license manager the models are probably already unlocked.
  13. not knocking the video at all... think its great when people take their time and put these together... not everyone has multiple variaxes etc.
  14. thought of one other potentially big difference as well... i believe that the neck on the USA 69's are quartersawn.
  15. Don't sweat the rep thing... just hang around and participate it will take care of itself. you seem to have good insight on a few instruments... not everyone is going to agree with everything :)
  16. unfortunately, sometimes it takes some experimenting to get it settled in properly. i'm sure there is a real cause.. however, only Line6 themselves could possibly narrow that down. for the rest of us it's usually easier just to flash a couple of times and it works itself out... i've had good luck flashing back to 1.7 or 1.8 and then 2.0 i think the wider differences between those firmwares seems to bring the whole thing into focus for some reason. just some ideas... because noone wants to send their guitar away or take it to a service center.
  17. I used the LP humbuckers for the 335, and the special p90s for the casino, which are a little hotter themselves, but then i changed some pot/cap values to smooth it off. I tend to make them run a little higher volume wise, because i tend to use the volume control to roll those down a little as well.. just gives it a little more dynamic throw on the volume control. I didn't balance them with any of the other models... just made the semi models work in and of themselves :) thanks for checking them out. you can of course adjust the preset volume easy enough without disturbing the core tone.
  18. just for the sake of speaking about it intelligently... i watched the video... and yes 2.0 still wins by a mile... the muddy mids in 1.9 never really bothered me... but side by side... 2.0 pulled out the earplugs for me and sounds much cleaner and defined. again just my opinion... yours is worth as much...
  19. I don't need a video to tell me that 2.0 is better than 1.9... my ears do that... it's subjective is the point... i think you're wrong... you think i'm wrong... and in the end we're both right... because it's just an opinion.
  20. i don't believe there is a product that would do that. the pin out on the FBV is proprietary and carries power... so it's not like ethernet, despite sharing the same cable type... I've seen posts in the past where users have fried their ports trying to use network hubs etc... not saying you couldn't figure it out and build something maybe... but i'm not clever enough to do that.
  21. thanks for the heads up... I may check it out, but i'm digging logic pro x at the moment, and have a few projects going in it.
  22. good call! that is the official color of pewter. I usually have to tell people it's gray just so i don't have to explain it :)
  23. you should post your volume leveled bundle here: http://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?board=138.0 could save alot of work for others :)
