  1. Product managers do not comment on work in progress, and I'm not permitted to say anything that i would know on the matter. I've made a generalized statement on the matter, I'm not in a position to say anything specific even if i knew anything specific. you've made an assumption...
  2. not commenting about anything in particular.... but there's nothing wrong with dreaming big!
  3. there is nothing to backup this statement. in fact with my limited knowledge on the matter, i can without a doubt say that this is 100% false. there is ALOT of life left in the stagescape mixers
  4. it is buried in the FAQ here.... http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/fbv-mki-mkii-controllers/the-complete-line-6-pedal-compatibility-faq-r58 and i believe it used to be on the compatibility chart as a footnote, but yeah... doesn't appear to be there now.
  5. try using this: http://www.bome.com/products/sendsx you'll have to learn the dump options in the M9 pretty sure you can do this... but never used the function more than a few times so i cant be any more specific.
  6. you can do that, just be sure to save the tone to the pod periodically or the tone will be lost when you close edit.
  7. depends on how you have protools setup to work with your interface... is the pod your interface? how are your speakers setup? etc... but yes you can run edit and pod farm at the same time... whether you'll hear it or not depends on the other questions.
  8. what software are you trying to use it with on the PC... that's a critical bit of info...
  9. he did understand you.... and the answer is you can't.... you can only record up to 2 of the inputs at one time.... which of those 2 would be among the choices he responded with.
  10. if you read the thread i linked, he used a program called pacifist. you could probably respond to the previous thread and ask for more specifics.
  11. pod farm 1 should still have all the amps... pod farm 2 would depend on your license.
  12. you can overwrite, change and modify any of the models to your liking at any position on the selector knob.
  13. send is out of your flextone pre-amp and return is into the power amp (using a cable from the send to the return is the same as not using the effects loop at all!) you would use both if you were just adding a simple effect box or something and still wanted to use the built in sound of the felxtone... since you only want to use the power amp, and use the models in the XT for your pre-amp... using the send is unnecessary.
  14. I recently picked up a fishman triple play, just can't bring myself to mount it... not simple enough for my taste... i'll probably sell it rather than attach it to anything myself. but i like the idea... like this poster... i want simple and easy.
  15. what does the port on your pod say? if it says "pedal" it needs the old board... if it says "fbv" it should work...
  16. The path to be heard by the product developers is: http://line6.ideascale.com/ they generally won't respond, but they do read all submissions.
  17. The app is working on ios8 was there a reason you didn't go with the latest?
  18. the update won't likely be released until mid october when Yosemite comes out of beta. another user got it to work... (all unsupported and without warranty) http://line6.com/support/topic/8020-pod-farm-257-does-not-install-on-os-x-1010-yosemite/?hl=yosemite
  19. not only will the X3 have all the packs... it has 13 effects that aren't available in pod farm if i recall correctly. you are probably just looking for autoswell in the wrong category or something.
  20. the usb out on the pod just doesn't send wet and dry so won't work like that... you can send the dry separately over the spdif. there is no pod farm HD... completely remodeled amps... different selection... different sound...
  21. they are compatible sort of... i guess it depends on what you're asking really... you don't load effects from pod farm to the x3.... they would both have the same effects already built in... the x3 comes with pod farm 1 for free... and it's the most compatible... because pod farm 2 allows things that the x3 cannot do... by sticking with pod farm 1, you should more freely be able to interchange the tones between the 2 environments. of course you'd need gearbox (free) to actually interface your tones with the x3.
  22. it won't work in the same fashion because the usb feed from the 500x is a little different. it's the hardware that is limiting you not the software... you'd need a separate recording interface with a SPDIF in to make the workflow more closely match what you are used to. there are ways to still do what you want, by creating tone paths that would send dry left wet right for instance...
