  1. you can try a powered usb hub... the key thing is that it's not supported... however that doesn't mean that it won't work.... just means that line6 won't be able to assist you if there are issues....
  2. windows or mac? the general thing you need to do is make sure your operating system is still setup to use your preferred interface. it may not be possible, as i cant recall if gearbox will allow routing over a non-line6 interface... but i'd check the OS settings first.
  3. not 100% sure... but i do know that logic pro stopped supporting 32bit plugins... i suspect garageband is the same... in which case you'd need to upgrade to pod farm 2.5+ for 64 bit plugins.
  4. you shouldn't have to enter any number... you can just get the drivers pod farm and gearbox from here outside of monkey: http://line6.com/software/
  5. not really... you could try ASIO4ALL, but i don't recommend a workaround... i recommend you try to find a way to run it within the ASIO specs that you can live with... you'll be happier with the results.
  6. have you gone to the m-audio site and got their official drivers... they can make all the difference in the world... windows will use it as a generic midi device if you don't....
  7. have you tried pinching the pentode/triode+topology switches together while powering on... hold until the lights start flashing, then release. this should restore it to factory defaults after that run monkey to see what version of the FW you ended up on and flash again if needed. also, some people have had success by only using the midi in and not connecting the midi out.
  8. there are no points awarded for a "best answer" the post simply gets highlighted at the top to help people with future searches. the original poster can select the best answer, but sometimes the mods will change it.... for example... if the original poster comes back and marks his own post "that worked!" (AKA he's just trying to mark his issue as solved, and not really "best answer") we might change the best answer to be the post that actually had the information that was helpful.
  9. it would have to be pod farm 2.5 or newer... however... you would also have had paid for the upgrade separately... if you have only the version of pod farm that came with your UX2, the license is owned by the UX2 and it cannot be used with any other devices. if you paid for the upgrade, then you can use it with any ASIO/Coreaudio interface.
  10. we've already raised the issue, will likely be back to normal a little later today.. when the people at L6 HQ get in the office.
  11. for #3 at least i'd rather replace setlists with "categories" just have 1-128 A/B/C/D or whatever... and have them categorized... sort of a dynamic setlist... categories aka setlists would be able to split at say 1-120 for guitar and 121-128 for bass as an oversimplified example... just saying kind of like moving the setlist divider... the setlists as they are seem more like an un-needed barrier between my tones... although i can see benefit to dividing them in some manner... i would just like them to flow one into the other via the bank up/down functions.
  12. keep in mind... it must be a dynamic microphone and not a condenser, as there is no phantom power... and also.. the trim can be VERY touchy... so turn that all the way up while you are trying to get it going and then back it off slightly once you have sound to get to the appropriate level.
  13. do you have a pod? that cable is used for a pod. if you are only plugging into a UX2, the cable wouldn't be digital... but the cable you need would depend on if you are using the XPS (power pedal) that came with it... and if so do you need the cable from the box to the guitar, or from the box to the UX2.....
  14. Logidy: http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showpost.php?p=18089627&postcount=110 "To the Pod HD users out there considering augmenting their sound with an EPSi I would like to share our end of the story. We are seeing the most returns of EPSis precisely from POD owners who have little experience using IR based detached cab simulators. Here is what we find: - The cab sim in the POD is already based on some sort of convolution and is much more accurate than the web chatter would imply. - The improvement brought by adding the EPSi is subtle. Although critical to some ears, it is lost on many others. We find that folks who have experimented with native IR based cab sims on their computers have the best understanding of what to expect from the product. Folks who have not, tend to expect too much from the concept and be disappointed when trying it in the real world. Making version C for EPSi was entirely motivated by requests from users familiar with the process and those users were quite satisfied with the results. Somehow the buzz now is that this process will turn any high end modeler into something massively better, but we've seen a number of users reporting insufficient improvement upon pairing the EPSi with their high end modeler and requesting returns as a result. A quick way to evaluate the benefits of adding the EPSi to a given rig is to pair that rig with one of the many available computer IR based cab sims. All these plug ins use convolution as does the EPSi.â€
  15. you cannot connect the variax to the FBV pedal.... you need a variax interface or a variax capable pod.
  16. neck issues were fixed long before the "S" models were released.... in other words... no "S" models ever had the neck or bridge issues that the early 69's had
  17. probably need to logout of the license manager and make sure that you log in with the same account. everything looks correct except the license manager does not show the addons. either you've logged in with a different account than you made the purchase on, or something could be wrong on the line6 backend. also you are using an older version of the license manager... 1.01 try version 1.07 from here: http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=5666 also be a good idea to make sure you are using the latest pod farm 2,57 as well here: http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=5761
  18. when replying select more reply options next to the post button, should show you options to attach.
  19. have you rebooted? changed usb ports? logging into the license manager with the same account that you bought the license with? maybe throw a screenshot of the license manager on here and we'll see something you missed?
  20. always thought these were cool: http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=912353
  21. you need pod farm version 1.x pod farm 2 is a paid version... pod farm version 1 replaced gearbox for free.
  22. yes.. but not all android devices are the same... manufacturers can make their android devices completely different... making them potentially harder to support... iphones and apple iOS devices all have specified software and specified hardware and a known environment is alot easier to support and develop for. doesn't mean that there shouldn't be an android app... in this instance it seems like it would just be bluetooth radio communication... which is a standard that would apply across all androids equally, not alot of liberties within known standards.... it's not always just a matter of "more users"... i'm certain that they are considering it and possibly even intending to make this happen... but it's not confirmed, and could be quite some time if ever... if this is that important to you... wait... if you can't wait... then this might not be for you... there is always the option of picking up an ipad or ipod touch as well if you wanted.
  23. yes, they are the same power supply. It's called a Line6 PX2. and you can use it for your XT as well as powering the variax.
