  1. Yes, you can use one of the returns as an input for a guitar. If you set the level to instrument level in the Global Settings menu, the input impedance will be 1MOhm, which is fine for passive guitars (that's typically what the input impedance of Lo Z inputs is).
  2. As far as the math - a single triplet note is always going to be 2/3 as long as its parent note. If you're comparing them to the whole note, it would be 1/6, 1/12, and 1/24 respectively. It's probably more useful to compare them to a quarter note, though, as that's what you'd be tapping in. So compared to a quarter note, it would 2/3, 1/3 and 1/6.
  3. Those are quarter, eighth, and sixteenth note triplets. It's not entirely intuitive how they relate to their parent notes, but this gets the idea across: A triplet is playing three notes in the space of two. So a quarter note triplet is the same overall length as two quarter note. An eighth note triplet is the same length as two eighth notes, and a sixteenth note triplet is the same length as two sixteenth notes.
  4. I don’t know a lot about QuickTime, but it could be that it’s applying some sort of effect on the recorded audio when you play it back. QT is a video editor, not really a DAW, isn’t it?
  5. If you're using the same setup to record as you're using to play live, there should be no difference. Are you recording via the Helix's USB output?
  6. It should work with Workbench, but not Workbench HD. You need to have batteries in the guitar and have a 1/4” cable plugged into it in order for to be powered on when connecting to the VDI adapter.
  7. Did you create a backup prior to updating? If you updated from a pre-2.80 firmware to a post-2.80 or later firmware, the update resets your global settings. If you create a backup, those settings will be saved with the backup. If you have a backup, I'd recommend doing a factory reset (holding down FS7 & FS8 while powering up) and then restoring from your backup.
  8. There's no need for an additional Mute block. Just use a Volume block and remove the controller assignment. Set the Position parameter to 0, and voila, it's now a Mute block.
  9. Before you do a reset, go to Global Settings>Ins/Outs and make sure you have Send/Return L and Send/Return R both set to Instrument Level (they are set individually - it sounds like you make have one set to the Line and the other set to Instrument).
  10. The Stomp does have an analog bypass path, so when it's powered off, the signal will pass from the input to the output. I guess if you worried about things causing popping when you're plugging and unplugging, your best bet is to leave the Stomp powered on and put into Tuner mode while doing that. That will mute the outputs (assuming you have the Tuner set to Mute the signal, which it is by default).

    POD Go FAQ

The bottom is flat. It's a molded polycarbonate piece that's articulated. There's probably enough flat surface as the front and back that you could affix velcro or dual lock to it, though. I'm not positive, but I think it's possible to remove the rubber feet.

    POD Go FAQ

It has all the same amps, cabs and effects as the Helix/HX devices with the following exceptions (copied from here). The three effects with the biggest DSP hit were omitted (Tone Sovereign, Clawthorn Drive, Cosmos Echo) This likely means that any future models that are similar size or larger (like polyshifters) will also be omitted NEW: The Distortion > Carvin Legacy model in 2.90 is also too big to fit Distortions, pitch/synth, and dynamics blocks are mono only All other effects are stereo only Delay time is cut in half (2s stereo vs. Helix/HX's 8s mono/4s stereo) Looper time is less (80s mono/40s stereo at 1/2-speed vs. Helix/HX's 120s mono/60s stereo) If you want to see the list of modeled amp, cabs and effects, the Helix Native manual has the most up-to-date lists: https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a3f1642f5d8d432755547/application/pdf/Helix Native Pilot's Guide - English .pdf

    bad distortions?

When you say distortions are you talking about the drive pedal models or the distortion coming from the amp models? I mean, there's all sorts of videos and sound clips out of the Helix sounding very good, so it's clearly capable of producing a broad range of very good tones. Perhaps it would help if you gave some examples of what you're wanting to hear.
  14. Well, a regular mic cable will work, it's just that over longer lengths there can be issues with data integrity. It's not like it won't work at all.
  15. What amp models have you tried? I personally like the Cali Texas Ch1 (Mesa Lonestar Clean channel) model for these types of tones. I also think that so much of it depends on the pickups. Another trick is using a Fuzz block in your chain and setting the input impedance low - like 22kOhms. When you turn the volume down, that will give you a nice spank.
  16. I can't say it's been completely bug free as I still encounter the occasional bug now and then. All of those have been really minor, though. I've been using 2.82 since whenever it first was released, and I've not had any real issues. I have presets that I've used going back to the very earliest firmware versions. I really couldn't say why you're having issues with your presets.
  17. In order for the Stomp's USB audio to work, it needs to be plugged into a USB host. Those USB to S/PDIF converters don't work that way. They're really just an audio interface designed to work with a computer.
  18. If you change snapshots while holding a momentary switch you have set up as a controller, I wouldn't expect the value for that parameter to be maintained through the snapshot change. All controller values are recalled with snapshot changes. There's no override ability with footswitch controllers like there is with the expression pedals, so the parameter would go to whatever value is saved with the snapshot. Right now, I guess, this is just one of those things where I'd say the remedy is to not do it. You'll get unpredictable results.
  19. If you really want an extended warranty, I'd recommend getting one of the options offered by Line 6 rather than going through GC: https://shop.line6.com/services/helix-service-plus/ GC and other retailers use third party services for these warranty programs, and I've seen them do some seriously stupid things (the service Line 6 offers is handled directly by Line 6 CS). Honestly, companies wouldn't sell them if they weren't making substantial profits from them. $250 for an additional year of warranty coverage seems really steep to me. Yes, it's true that GC will cover accidental damage, I suppose, but I guess you have to ask yourself how likely that is to happen. In all my years of playing and gigging, there's only a couple things I've had damaged in that sort of way. One of them was by a 300 lb man stepping/stomping on my pedalboard while dancing, and the other was by my cat...
  20. That's definitely not the intent, I can assure you. If you are in IR Mode, the IR will be applied to the the XLR output. There is one thing I can think that could cause what you're talking about. Input 2 can be set to Monitor Mode in the Global Settings, and if that's the case, it would bypass the speaker modeling or IR and just pass the input through.

    Dual amp rig?

No, it's not possible to have dual amps and/or cabs/IRs on the POD Go. Each preset can only have one amp and one cab/IR block. And, yes, the IRs you purchase from the Line 6 site will work with the POD Go (all IRs loaded in the POD Go will always be 1024 sample, though). There are two loopers. A 6-switch and a 1-switch. If you use the 6-switch looper, when you press the looper footswitch, you're taken to Looper Mode where you have six controls. If you use the 1-switch, you just assign it to whatever footswitch you want in Stomp Mode.
  22. Sure. All of the control assignments are per preset, so that's not a problem at all.
  23. It does, but there's no way to turn the Global EQ on or off with a footswitch or anything like that. There isn't a way to do what you're describing in a global manner. You'd have to set something up in every preset.
