+1 to Jaguar9080 After you flash you may have to do a factory reset to get the presets. You can confirm the firmware by going to setting in the app or using the AMPLFi pc Utility via USB.
-
Definitely. After you get more feedback form the community and if you decide to try one, look for a 30 day return policy so you have time to put it thru its paces. Yeah, I personally don't use the tone matching and therefor have the auto-tone loading turned off. I don't own any of the AMPLIFi amps but I did demo one at GC and the 150 sounded pretty good playing back songs on my phone, but it would be nice if it had some EQing options for the BT stream.

I know you said you did the trouble shooting. Just curious is you tried forgetting the connection, factory reset, app reinstall, repair BT?

fyi... Users have been report that OSX most recent better fixes the issue, so hopefully Apple's next update will fix this.

You may be on to something there!!!

For practicing/writing I personally think the AMPLIFi FX100 with studio monitors or headphones is more bang for your buck. Regarding issues, I get occasional stutters with BT music streaming with the AMPLIFi Remote app open. With the app closed it is very rare. Sometimes the app also loses connection with the FX100, but not very often. These thing happen in one location of my house, in another location I have yet to lose the connection. This is both with my Android phone and iPad, although I have not updated to iOS 9 yet. That being said if I want to jam along with an mp3 I usually play it on my pc or drop it into my DAW. Not sure what Line6 gear you have, but if your looking into bare minimum set-up for practicing/writing you might also want to check out the POD Studio line.

Might be dirty pots. With unit off gently rotate the knobs, all the way back and forth several times. You might also search dirty pots in this forum. -
I don't own a Firehawk (and recently uninstalled the app to make room on my phone), perhaps it is dynamic and you get an extra flex block if not using all HD amps/effects?
-
Yes, there is an iOS9 compatible app. Have you updated the firmware on the AMPLIFi?
-
You could post it on IdeaScale and invite users to vote it up. But I'm guessing it is a hardware limitation and to add more custom blocks something else would need to be sacrificed. http://line6.ideascale.com/

My first real complaint. Distortion settings?
Triryche replied to cebreez's topic in AMPLIFi TT/FX100
Yeah, the amp out to the fx return will likely sound very thin and fuzzy. Main out(s) to the fx return should sound nice though if you want to mic your cab. For a starting point on your amp, on the clean channel, try turning the bass and treble all the way down and the mid all the way up while keeping the pre amp low. But yeah, the FX100 works well with a FRFR solution. -
Are you sure the app is connecting to your AMPLIFi? Are you on Android or iOS?

UX1 W/ Podfarm - No Mic Output

What DAW are you using? Have you tried connecting it the recommended way, speakers or headphones directly to the UX? -
My guess would be that there are different sets of FW, for example, if you try to flash your JTV, Monkey is looking for a specific model, 69, 89F, ect... I wish they had a "no model" model in workbench that would pass the dry piezo signal, that might be interesting.

Not necessarily "bad" but definitely not optimal. Think of it this way, your workaround was essentially routing one soundcard controlled via USB (the UX) analog outs into another soundboard (your pc's integrated soundcard) adding extra A/D then D/A conversions plus latency. I highly recommend you connect your speakers, or headphones directly to the UX. You didn't mention what DAW you are using. Also, the way you had it working in the past before your workaround, in Win 7 there's an option to "listen to this device", again, not the intended, optimal use if your goal is recording. I have not used Win10 yet so I am not sure how that option might look. -

Not sure how you are set-up but.... What DAW? Are your speakers connected to your UX? Are selecting Line6 ASIO in your DAW? Are you selecting the UX as your default device in Windows? -
Can you imagine all the extra extraneous vibrations that would add to JTV modeling?? Yikes!!! :o A Tube Screamer with everything dimed should mellow it out though!!

Try another pc or laptop with the Utility. I've seen some user that it would not work with Win7 x64 but worked with Win8. Once it is updated you can to future updates with Android.

You should be connecting your speakers directly to the TT.

There should be a future firmware update that will allow you to assign the tweak functionality to the FX100's expression pedal.
