  1. Looks interesting, but I wonder if it would damage the neck.
  2. Yes, you would need to create an account on IdeaScale.
  3. If you run the Line6 Monkey and have green ticks for everything, I would open a support ticket.
  4. Uninstall everything relate to the UX and start from scratch. Make sure you download the newest version of Monkey. I've been running the UX2 on Win7 64x for years without issue.
  5. How have I not seen this already?? Sadly I know every episode the clips are from. Thanks for the much needed distraction!!
  6. +1 to Mike Reaper and EZDrummer 2 is a great workflow. Superior Drummer 2 is pretty awesome too, but more expensive and may have a steeper learning curve.
  7. Is there a reason you don't want to use the HD500 as the interface and record via the HD's USB? I ask because you would introducing extra A/D D?A conversions. But if I had to use the mbox I would run the balanced to the Line Ins
  8. You might want to also try some Linux of Ubuntu forums.
  9. Are you selecting Mic as your input in POD Farm in the Mixer view?
  10. +1 to silverhead Use the volume of each preset's AMP to adjust the level. The master volume is global, so it cannot be saved per patch.
  11. I remember a couple years ago (maybe3) my buddy who runs a successful recording studio, finally ditched his G3 for a G5. His updates are very strategic!!
  12. That is strange, you should be able to synch the app without logging in. For example, if you have no cellular connection or WiFi. I would not rely on a BT connection in a live setting, too many potential sources of interference. And as cebreez points out, the pedal has 100 presets, this would allow a user to setup their pedal for the setlist before arriving to a gig so that you are plug and play. I personally don't consider the FX100 pro-gigging gear, but I also don't consider myself an amateur wannabe.
  13. Regarding the glass/stone pics, I once found a nice smooth pic shaped stone on the beach, I also noticed my pinch harmonics jumping out a bit more. The other thing I noticed is it jacked up my strings pretty quick, mainly the low E and A. Have you guys using the glass/stone pics noticed this? I would imagine the acrylic one being a bit more forgiving. btw...the Jazz III is one of my favorite pics, although not so much for clean strumming or broken chords.
  14. I'm purely speculating here, but I think that's point, or at least a variable in the equation. I think it's one of those situations that people that don't get, may not get until they try it. That being said, I am a huge fan of a computer GUI in the studio environment, but if this tap dance editing is a fluid workflow, my pics will have many less teeth marks in them!!
  15. Try a factory reset and then updating. Also, are you sure the iPhone is pairing with the amp? You could also try the PC Utility.
  16. Yeah, subtle pitch correction when mixing/mastering for a finely polished final product has it's utility, but using pitch correction in place of talent is a tragedy!!
  17. It's humor, I thought it was kinda funny, and I don't do drugs. But if Felix the Cat is the controller, what does stepping on the tail engage?
  18. Exactly!! Dave Mustaine - one of the artists on that list, also endorsed Line6.
  19. I didn't read any negative criticism towards the Helix in lasvidoe's post.
  20. I found the introspection interesting. The thread may also serve the purpose of raising awareness of GAS.
  21. The 1st post is a bit dated. They actually support Android too now. I agree the ability to edit tones with a PC or Mac via USB would be a great feature. At least you can record via USB. I'm pretty sure Line6 was first to market with an amp and effects board that integrates with a smart phone, so they may have had a smidgen of an iota of the space they're working in.
