Microphone i/o issues
Triryche replied to IsaacPBrown's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Have you updated anything in between when it worked and now? Are you selecting Mic in Gearbox? Are you selecting the UX in Windows as your default sound device? -
What OS?

From the Pilot's Guide: To Save A Preset: Press and hold the footswitch that indicates your current selection to enter save mode. Footswitches A-D will begin flashing; the next footswitch press will save the preset to that location. Note that you are able to save presets to any bank while in save mode. Microphone i/o issues
Triryche replied to IsaacPBrown's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Just for clarification, if you run the newest Monkey you have green ticks? Are you using POD Farm 1 or 2? Are you using a DAW to capture audio? -
You can’t drop and drop slots around in the app, the 100 slots in the AMPLIFi Remote App is just a graphical representation of the hardware’s mem slots. You can select a tone in the app and save it to another location, but you overwrite the location you are saving to. You can also save a tone to another location using the foot-switches.

BTW, it does look like Line6 needs to update the KB article.

You can either try to flash with the iPhone, BT works in recovery mode but you need to re-pair the connection (forget it on the phone, press the BT pairing button on he AMPLIFi) Or you can try the Line6 Updater via USB which works with Mac. Flashing VIA USB is much faster than BT.

You can use the TT to record with Windows10. Currently there is no PC app to edit tones, you would need an iOS or Android device. You can download the app for free from the App store.

I don't know if Line6 has the original presets in the cloud, but if you try to search, you will likely come up with hits for the names that users have tweaked and uploaded. Thanks for the kudos!!! I think I speak for all the Experts when I say we really enjoy helping users get on with their gear( well, except for TheRealZap), but, we don't always know everything!! ( well, except for TheRealZap    ) But seriously, Zap is one of the nicest guys I never met in person (yet).

Actually the X3 and XT use the same algorithms, the X3 is essential 2 separate XT signal paths. The FX100 is using the same algorithms, but I think it is rendered differently. The signal chain on the FX100 is more flexible than the XT series. FWIW, the Firehawk is hybrid, it uses both XT and HD algos.

It's possible you may have dirty voltage, but based on you description it may just be the noise floor, especially if it is more of a hissing sound rather than a loud hum or crackling sound. You may be able to control it with a noise gate or tweaking your gain structure. But if you are ok with the tone you are get using the PAD input nothing wrong with using that.

+1 to BigChas But as far as recommending it? It depends on what the seller is asking and if you can confirm that it still works. A new POD Studio GX, which is essentially replaces the Guitarport goes for ~$99 USD and comes with POD Farm 2.5 plug-in plus a 1 year warranty, 2 years if you get it from Sweetwater.

Does the noise change depending on whether or not you are touching the guitar strings?

You can save any tone to any spot you want with "Save to Hardware". No, the 24 banks of presets are not in "My Tones". You could save a preset to "My Tones" and reload it later, oir reflash the FX100 to restore the presets. I wouldn't worry too much about the presets, just save the ones you really like to "My Tones" as a reference.

Microphone not been detected?
Triryche replied to Enanot's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
When you say not detected, are you referring to POD Farm or your DAW, or …?? -
Recording Playback has No Tone
Triryche replied to rfloccari's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Assuming you're using the Toneport/POD Studio series with PF1 or PF2, check the mixer view to see what you are sending to your DAW. -
How to make 2 mics go to 2 separate tracks?
Triryche replied to Mirock's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Enable a dual path tone in PF2. Configure your mics in the Mixer view: Tone A mic1, Tone B mic 2, then configure the sends as need. Insert 2 tracks in Reaper selecting the appropriate Lines based on how you configured the sends in PF2. -
Pro Tools 10 Playback Through POD HD500?
Triryche replied to xevilws6x's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
I don't use PT, but it could be something simple. Maybe something in PT is muted? -
I haven't used Cubase in years. But the steps are similar across DAW's. Maybe you can can explain what steps you're taking and where you're getting hung up. You might also try searching youtube for Cubase tutorials that are not necessarily specific to the UX You might also Reaper or Mixcraft (demos' are free, Reaper full version is ~$60) I currently use Reaper, but I have heard Mixcraft holds its own and is very intuitive.

The AMPLIFi app will only play songs stored locally on your device. But you can do a tone search. (Tap the options menu in the upper left)
-
Chances are you need to update the firmware on the AMPLIFi. Forget the current BT connection, update the firmware either via BT with youriPAD or via USB with the Updater Utility. The re-pair the BT connection.

UX1 no sound from the headphone jack
Triryche replied to mjones53's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Did you run the Line6 Monkey to get the current drivers? Are you running TH2/3 as a plug-in or standalone? If you are running them as a plug-in make sure you are selecting the UX as you ASIO device in your DAW. If you are running standalone, see if you can select the UX from the TH2/3, I haven't used this software, so not sure what the options are. -
Not sure what you tried so far, or if you are even asking for help, but my guess is the unit has pre-Android supported firmware. If that is the case you can flash it with the Updater Utility via USB or with an iPad or iPhone via Bluetooth. Once you have the current firmware you can flash via Android BT in the future, although the USB method is much faster. If you still have issues feel free to post back, or contact Line6 directly via phone or support ticket.
