  1. wingp This is a user forum, you can contact Line6 directly via a call or support ticket.
  2. I highly doubt it. But if you have the means to try it, please report your findings!!
  3. Check out this video. It is for demonstration purposes only, I am not recommending or endorsing these products or methods, just throwing in out there as info. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSA2F1AwboU The USP Zap is referring to is an Uninterrupted Power Supply. A power conditioner might also work.
  4. I'm wondering if the game is trying to use your internal soundcard. You could try explicitly disabling your pc's soundcard and explicitly setting the UX as the default.
  5. Are you recording or just jamming? Soundcards like Soundblaster are really not geared towards recording. An entry level offering from Line6 would be the POD Studio GX. But then you might just want to use the POD Studio's sounds at that point. If your not recording, a cheap solution would be to connect your pc speakers directly to the POD instead of adding the computer to the signal chain.
  6. Are you using the UX for you audio for gaming and/or skyping? If you run the newest version of Monkey, do you have green ticks for everything.
  7. I would definitely try uninstalling ASIO4ALL!! You really should only use it as a last resort.
  8. Yeah, to record a mic with the UX1 you need a mic that plugs directly into the UX1. But the UX1 as you know has no phantom power, so you would need a UX2, a separate preamp that supplies phantom power, or a dynamic mic. Are you dead set on a condenser mic? Maybe you can get a dynamic mic to hold you over until you have more of a budget.
  9. See reply to other post, I think once you get the initial setup puzzled out, you'll be on your way. But in a nutshell, what you record should sound the same on playback.
  10. You need to use the Line6 ASIO device in Cubase. This means your input and output is the PODxt, therefore no pc soundcard. You also need to connect your monitoring solution directly to the PODxt, it becomes your soundcard. Likely the only way you are currently getting sound out of the pc is because you have "monitoring" turned on in Cubase.
  11. Try uninstalling Gearbox and using POD Farm 1.12 (it replaces Gearbox). But that fact that Monkey does not even see it I do not think that will help. If you do set it on fire, place on ground where there are no guitar, amps, children or flammable objects near by, light fuse and get away!! Is there a friends PC you can try it on to eliminate the DI and UX being the problem? Also, per Zap's suggestion, have you tried older drivers? In the meantime you might want to fill out your support profile and open a ticket.
  12. On a normal install of Windows the main user will be administrator by default. Also disabling any anti-virus security programs. Just for clarification, you are not connecting both devices at the same time during the driver installation? Another thing, before attempting another instal, make sure you go to: Start>>Line6>>Tools>>Uninstaller. After that, another thing to try is right click the Line6 Driver Installer.exe, go to properties, the compatibility tab, check the box to run as XP sp3.
  13. Another thought / long shot, make sure your are running as an administrator.
  14. Did you download the newest version of the Monkey?
  15. Set up a dual tone. Then assign Mic to one and guitar to the other.
  16. 3rd line in your post you mention unbalanced PL connection.
  17. Full Range Flat Response. Dialing in tone for an amp vs studio monitors (or pc speakers) are two entirely different beasts. If you use studio monitors or studio headphones, your recordings will sound the same on playback thru the same monitors or headphones.. Try pumping an MP3 player thru your amp and see how different it sounds vs your computer.

    USB port

I heard it is going to be for future use.
  19. Yeah, AMPLIFi is based on the XT/POD Farm engine. But apparently the AMPLIFi engine renders the logarithms a bit differently. From my experience, the FX100 sounds juicier than my PODxt.
  20. What is the PL connection?
  21. When you have a tone you like after you are done tweaking it, in the upper left corner go to File>>Save As and give it a new name. Then all you need to do is File>>Open and navigate to the folder where you saved your tones.
  22. You should definitely see the PODxt's memory in that window. Does the Monkey give you green ticks for drivers and firmware? Try a different/new USB cable. Also try different USB ports.
