  1. Check the min/max settings on your pedal controller - you may have it set to 25% at the min position. If that's not it, try recalibrating the pedal again.
  2. I don't have a Spider V amp but I looked at its manual (available online) and the Downloads section of this website and I find the info ambiguous on this question. The Overview page of the manual suggests that it operates the same as the AMPLIFi and Firehawk products in this respect - tone editing is supported only on mobile devices using the Remote app. However, the Rear Panel page states that one of the two ports you mention can be used to edit tones on PC, Mac and Android. Yet the Downloads page does not seem to have any PC/Mac based edit program for the Spider V amps. So we need someone with a Spider V amp to clarify, and then I will report a documentation error if there is one.
  3. What Line 6 product are you using? What are your controller assignments?
  4. The Pod HD Bean patches are not directly compatible with any other device although they can be converted to be compatible with the Pod HD500/x/Pro/x devices. They are not generally compatible with the Pod HD300/400 devices although single-path Bean patches can be converted for those devices. There is a POD HD device patch converter here: Convert & Modify POD HD Presets | www. jzab .de Pod HD device patches are not compatible with nor convertible to Pod xt/X3 devices.
  5. Who told you that? I can't imagine that there's any intelligence in either the battery or the charger.

    CPU usage

There is no explicit indicator of how much DSP (CPU) is being utilized at any time. However, the device will not permit usage beyond its limit. As you approach the DSP limit certain options and selections are greyed out and unavailable because their selection would exceed the limit. Note that Helix has two identical DSP processors, one dedicated to each signal path. If you approach the limits in Path 1 (A and B ) you can route the signal chain so that it begins to utilize the Path 2 DSP processor.
  7. You should connect both speakers to each other using two L6 Link cables, connecting the In of each to the Out of the other. With that setup the inputs to both side-panel mixers and any other rear panel inputs will be heard in both speakers.
  8. Have you downloaded and installed the driver?
  9. How are you connecting the variax to your computer?
  10. Thanks for the correction duncann and Phil, and sorry if my misinformation caused difficulties for anyone.
  11. I guess I didn't express myself clearly enough earlier. I am denying that your opinion about this is fact, and I don't agree that this makes me an unintelligent person. You simply don't have the facts to support your claim. Nor do I to support the counter claim. But you are fully entitled to your opinion, as am I.
  12. I presume you are using Customtone. I don't know how you can tell in every case but in some cases the name of the amp used in the tone is included in the description of the tone. You would then have to compare with the list of amps included in the expansion packs. However, before purchasing the expansion packs I would download and experiment with tones that do not need the expansion packs. I think you will find that the quality of the tones is very variable, and that there may not be many that you actually like. I wouldn't buy expansion packs just to try out some tones in Customtone. You may want to purchase them later but I would get more familiar with what the device can do without them first.
  13. The AES/EBU port on Helix is only compatible with other Line 6 devices. They use a proprietary protocol called L6 Link.
  14. I think you will be able to download Line 6 Edit if you choose Windows 7 as the operating system in the downloads page. From what I understand it operates just fine in Win 10 once you've downloaded and installed it, though I haven't done this myself - just going from reports I've read here.
  15. I think that is the statement that is highly suspect. Posts on the Internet, especially in a user support forum, don't represent the average user experience. The relatively few people/instruments that have problems get a lot of exposure here. What we don't see or hear of here, or elsewhere on the iinternet, are the vast majority of users that have no problems. Of course there is no data-based evidence of the actual failure rate. Only Line 6 could possibly know that and even then they only know about sales vs. reported problems. This excludes units that may have unreported problems. So it's literally impossible to back up either claim with comprehensive evidence: that it is 'prone to failure' or that it's not. As internet readers we are left to come to our own conclusions. In my experience I have owned several Variax guitars. One (an early V300 model) had a problem and it was quickly and completely resolved by Line 6. I think the risk of being disappointed is very small.
  16. I suspect your connections are confusing your PC. You're right that usually when the UX2 is connect d via USB then it becomes your computer's soundcard and all sound, including from Spotify, will be directed through the UX2. However, you also have headphones connected to your computer. The computer (reasonably, I think) concludes that you want to use its internal soundcard for the purely PC-generated sounds like Spotify while the UX2 specific programs like Pod Farm use the UX2 as the soundcard. Hence the separation of the sounds. I guess the computer does not respond automatically when you disconnect the headphones. Try visiting the Sound control panel item in your computer and specify that it should use th UX2 as the sound card for all purposes.
  17. Line 6 Edit. You can get it in the Downloads sectoin of this website, under the Support tab above.
  18. You need to format the SD Card in FAT32 format. This is not the default format on PC Windows - you may need to download a utility to help you do that. Google is your friend to find that. After formatting the SD card in FAT32 on Windows the M20d should be able to use it.
  19. It will be somewhere in the Cubase menus. Explore the Preferences, or Settings sections. Look for Audio Preferences/Settings. When all else fails, try reading the Cubase manual.
  20. I agree that the damage is usually done going down stairs and rolling too quickly causing an imbalance and stress on the narrow wheel base. In my case, too, the damage was done by others who weren't aware of the need to be careful. Design flaw or user-beware? Like you say, debatable.
  21. 1) I am using normal rack bolts/screws. No problem. 2) I use the cable that came with the device. No recommended shorter cable - any RJ-45 cable will work fine. 3) Sorry - can't help you there.
  22. You need to run the Line 6 License Manager program and login to your Line 6 account with the POD connected to your computer. EDIT: Note that there is no download to the POD required. The model packs already exist in the device firmware, but they are locked - invisible and inaccessible. After purchasing the model packs, your account info is updated with this information. The License Manager sees the updated account info and unlocks the models in the firmware.
  23. I believe you would need.to configure Cubase to recognize the Spidr V in its Audo settings, not its VST settings.
  24. The X3 has no concept of a setlist. It contains 128 presets in 32 banks of 4. The ordering and any sub-organization of those presets is maintained manually by the user, either directly on the device or using the PC based editor.
  25. You need to download and install the latest driver for Firehawk, and then download and install the Line 6 Updater program. After installing both pieces connect your Firehawk to your computer via usb and run the Updater program. This should update the firmware on your Firehawk device in a matter of minutes, not hours.
