Shows up on Monkey and Workbench HD through an XT Live here in Support. My 59 has v2.22 Flash, connected with a VDI cable with the Canon shells on both ends, and not that cheap generic CAT5 stuff and a good USB to the back of the computer (not the front USB).

Looks like a MIDI Time Out Error code. Judging by your serial number, it's an older one with an early program board. I would recommend taking it to a Line 6 authorized service center. It should be checked out and maybe, just maybe a more current board with more current Firmware, and just some general checks and servicing to it. Win 7 is fine. Firmware v2.22 or v2.23 is fine, but v2.23 is only needed for some functions related to the Shuriken SR250 guitars. Everything else is like v2.22 program.

Using both connectors while using Monkey (for updates, the battery engage to give two green LED's) or Workbench is in a programming state, shouldn't be a problem. It's in the audio operations of playing that can add stress to the circuit.

What Flash version is the guitar? You need Flash v2.00 or higher for Workbench HD. You may or may not need a current version board, but check the Flash first. Connects fine thru my X3 Live at my bench. Have to see if we have an XT Live to check with.

For JTV, Standard and Shuriken SR270, Flash v2.22 or v2.23 is fine. Flash v2.23 just adds extra functionality for the Shuriken SR250. Use nothing higher Monkey v1.77 for now. Workbench v2.14.0 is the current one.

Correct,... that knob is for both the 59/59P series, Asian and US versions.
