That's the macOS version. Keep scrolling...
-
Helix Native version 1.50 was just released today for Windows (yesterday for macOS version) that is equivalent to Helix version 2.50. Here is the link: https://line6.com/software/.
-
Congratulations on your 16,000th post! Now that is something.
-
What's interesting is that it has yesterday as the release date. Either way, it's installed!
-
Be patient as the Line 6 site is getting taxed heavily from all of the people updating.
-
In addition to performing a complete backup (just in case, etc.), I just run an individual backup of each of my User Setlists one by one and let the update do it's thing. All of the factory presets will be updated and then you'll have a backup copy of all of your presets just in case they get removed from the Helix. Luckily all of mine are still intact and I can see all of the new effects. I had the same experience upgrading to version 2.30.
-
Luckily I didn't have to restore anything after the update (same after version 2.30), but it's always a good idea to backup the entire device and each setlist, IRs, etc. individually, like silverhead said. Then you're always covered.
-
It's failing before his device connects because it's trying to login to the Line 6 update portal. I had the same trouble, but eventually got in. If you download the flash file first, then you can do a local update.
-
Another reason why Line 6 should use a content delivery network (CDN),

True. You could also just re-associate it with the footswitch which should then go back to the default name of the effect.
-
I really wish there was one. I can't tell you how many times I'm playing right in front of my DAW and needed to use the tuner. Yeah, I know I can fire one up in Logic Pro or MainStage, but that's not the same thing when you're experimenting with different amp models. Not complaining, just wishing...
-
Just go change that block to another effect and then put your desired effect back. Then it should default to the name of the new effect rather than a custom name when you assign it to a footswitch.
-
I only one problem with my guitar playing: Me. :)
-
Sounds nice!

Which device you do have? There are reset parameters that you can use to reset all of the factory presets (clearly you need to backup your custom presets and IRs first). The stomp button sequence is different on the Helix and/or Helix Rack.

+1. It would be very nice to have this a feature that was specific to Helix Native; however, as an IT professional, this may be more difficult to implement than it seems because of the shared code base. I do agree that it would be very nice to have a DSP limit that was only limited on your Mac/PC CPU processing power.

Yes. A TS cable is just a standard instrument or patch cable. A TRS cable is a balanced cable which you don’t need for this expression pedal. Both cables look nearly identical, but the tip on TRS cable has two rings on it instead of one. It's a great pedal!
-
You can use a TS or TRS cable. There's a separate jack for the toe switch which only the Helix Rack supports; however, you can use the non-toe switch model for wah or any other effect that uses a pedal. Your patches can be setup to auto-engage when you press the pedal forward and auto-disable when you bring the pedal back to position 0. I bought two of the Mission Engineering toe switch models for my Helix Floor just to have them, but the toe switch isn't usable unless you have a Helix Rack. They were only a few bucks more and I figured I could them for something else in the future. Aside from that, both Mission Engineering pedals for Line 6 are exactly the same.
-
Do you have the Helix setup as your audio input/output in your software?
-
I have two Mission Engineering/Line 6 expression pedals. They are fantastic. Make sure you get the SP1-L6H model which includes the toe switch which you can use on the Helix Rack. Although I have a Helix Floor, I still ordered (2) SP1-L6H's just for future use.
