  1. I don't think Line 6 will ever be done! They just announced v2.50 yesterday and have added a bunch of new effects and some amps. Here is a link to the post with all of the details. Enjoy! http://line6.com/support/topic/18284-latest-helix-firmware-250—coming-soon/
  2. This thread needs to end before it gets worse. LOL
  3. You can set it to auto-engage when you rock the pedal past position 0. When you're done and put the pedal back to position 0 the wah will auto-disengage. No switch necessary. This is how I have all of my presets setup. I also use two Mission Engineering expression pedals with my Helix Floor so I can dedicate the built-in pedal for volume control.
  4. Helix Native v2.50 will support snapshots. It was just announced (officially) yesterday! Yeah!
  5. Helix Native will now support snapshots with v2.50!
  6. I suspect that a new version of Helix Native will arrive on the same day as Helix v2.50. That was the case when Helix v2.30 was released. The two products work together, so this would make complete sense.
  7. My reference monitors have RCA, XLR, and TRS inputs. On my Mac, I use a stereo mini to RCA cable to connect to my speakers so that I can still maintain volume control on the keyboard. In this scenario I can use the XLR outputs from the Helix so I can here both my Mac and Helix connections simultaneously while maintaining typical volume control.
  8. I bought the Line 6 right-angle locking cable, so it doesn't stick out at all on my Les Paul's. It my opinion, both straight and right-angle cables should have come with the G70. In any event, you can always use standard TS cables that don't lock.
  9. I honestly don't know. I was originally looking at the Relay G10, but I didn't like the transmitter sticking out of the guitar the way it does. I thought that might be problematic for me if I bumped into something or accidentally hit on my ES-335. I spent big bucks on the Helix, so it made sense to get something more robust. I can tell you that the G70 transmitter feels bulletproof. I even use it at home when my amps are across the room. Overkill for me? Yes. Happy: YES!
  10. I have the G70 wireless and it works very well with my Helix Floor. It does require a power source on the receiver. I opted to buy a Line 6 9V power adapter rather that use the micro-USB cable and AC adapter that come with it. It doesn't come unplugged nearly as easy. I'm no expert, but I believe all of Line 6's wireless receivers require power. Not sure about other products.
  11. That make perfect sense. Thank you!
  12. I am running into a strange issue with one of my presets. I have 8 identical presets with the only difference being the elected amp+cab model. Since I now have a good pair of FRFR reference monitors, I am experimenting with stereo effects. One of the presets will not let me change 70 Chorus from mono to stereo even though all of the other presets let me. The particular effect grays out as a stereo option just for this one preset. Same for the Simple Delay effect. Very strange because all of the presets were copied and then the amp+cab model changed right after. Why would one amp+cab model only allow certain effects for stereo? It only seems to matter with certain effects and not others. Is this a possible bug? I am more curious than anything else. Thank you.
  13. Here is how I have my two amps wired. You can use this wiring method and use the templates that are supplied on the Helix to show you how to use the effects loop. The sound is AMAZING. It's much better than putting all of your effects in front of the amp. I have my wah and distortion in the front with chorus and reverb going through the effects loops. 4 Cable Method (4CM) for Amp #1 Cable #1 Guitar to Helix Guitar In Cable #2 Helix FX Send Loop 1 to Amp #1 Main Input Cable #3 Amp #1 FX Send Loop to Helix FX Return Loop 1 Cable #4 Helix 1/4" Left (mono) Out to Amp #1 FX Return Loop Cable Method (7CM) for Amp #2 Cable #5 Helix FX Send Loop 2 to Amp #2 Main Input Cable #6 Amp #2 FX Send Loop to Helix FX Return Loop 2 Cable #7 Helix 1/4" Right Out to Amp #2 FX Return Loop
  14. Excellent information. Thank you for sharing.
  15. Get the balanced XLR cables. This will allow you to use the TS outs for external amps, etc. while keeping your monitors connected at the same time. This was suggested to me and I'm very happy that I can keep everything connected simultaneously. Sometimes I use my two tube amps and sometimes I just use my studio monitors (or both). It's nice not having to connected/reconnect cables in my scenario.

Same. I "was" that guy. Still am actually.
  17. I mentioned this a few comments back, but here it is again. I guess it's worth mentioning that I have two Mission Engineering pedals. "I simply assign both the "Bypass" and "Position" to EXP Pedal 2 and it auto-engages when I rock the pedal. It disengages when I return the pedal position back to "0". No switch needed. It works beautifully! Hope this help you."
  18. My Line 6 Helix seems to be getting more and more expensive over time... But it's well worth it to hide my bad guitar playing. :)
  19. Thanks for sharing this. And I just thought it was my bad playing. :)
  20. Yes you sure can. I use my XLR outputs for my studio monitors, but you can use them for your amp too. Just make sure you set your XLR output settings to instrument level or line level in global settings based on your amp requirements.
  21. As an IT professional in the networking space, it's amazing what I've seen happen with defective CAT5e cables. Thanks for sharing this.
  22. I simply assign both the "Bypass" and "Position" to EXP Pedal 2 and it auto-engages when I rock the pedal. It disengages when I return the pedal position back to "0". No switch needed. It works beautifully! Hope this help you.
  23. I have two Marshall combo amps and the channel switching works fine on both of them. I have a 90's JTM 312 and a 2017 Marshall 2525C Mini Jubilee. I just wish I could use the Ext Amp on more than one amp at a time.
