  1. Yep, I did speak too soon. An hour later I kept seeing timeouts again nor could I post anything. I tried multiple browsers on multiple OS'. Glad I'm not the only one having the problem. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon.
  2. The possibilities are absolutely endless with a Helix. There are a TON of videos on YouTube that show the different cabling and audio routing methods. You can use the Ext Amp output to control changing channels, reverb, etc. on an amp, but you won't be able to control the modeling on the amp itself.
  3. Thank you, Line 6 for fixing whatever forum issues that I was experiencing. it looks like something wasn't working with an API in your forum software or an issue with your SSL certificate(s). I wasn't sure where to report it, but nonetheless there are no more issues now. :)
  4. Thank you for the reply. I looked at the foot switch that came with the amp and it's definitely not a TRS connection. I setup the Helix using Command Center and assigned a button for channel switching using a regular instrument cable and it worked beautifully. Just to be safe, I tried on my older Marshall JTM 312 first. It works great on both amps!
  5. Hello, I've had my Helix for a few months now and have mainly been using it with my Marshall combo tube amp for effects only or as a simple guitar interface with my MacBook Pro and Helix Native. I am interested in purchasing (2) Gibson Les Paul 8 Reference Monitors which have both balanced TRS and balanced XLR inputs. As a complete newbie to pro audio and recording in general, it there any advantage to using one interface over the other since Helix offers both outputs? Please forgive my ignorance, but I literally don't know why you would choose one over the other. Here is a link to the reference monitors. Most of the reviews I have read are very positive plus the price is right (much lower than MSRP). http://www.gibson.com/Products/Pro-Audio/2015/Les-Paul-8-Reference-Monitor.aspx. Please note this is strictly for home use only so I can begin experimenting with amp modeling and the other features that the Helix has to offer. Thank you!
  6. Not sure this is helpful regarding the headphones that you're using, but this is from page 7 of the Helix manual: "NOTE: Helix provides plenty of gain for high impedance headphones. With lower impedance headphones, you may notice a bit of distortion if the PHONES knob is turned all the way up. This is normal."
  7. I know this for a fact: There will be an update at some point in the future. :)
  8. I do the same exact thing; however, I still use the power button and standby mode on my Marshall Mini Jubilee tube amp despite it being plugged into the same power strip. It's only a 20-watt amp; but I don't want to risk blowing anything on the amp.
  9. Hi, I am interested in using my Helix Floor to change channels on my Marshall Mini Jubilee amp. How do I determine what type of cable to use safely? Also, how do I apply a stomp button to change channels? Thank you so much and Happy New Year!
  10. It may have been registered to someone else already. Did you buy it new?
  11. I suggest uninstalling the plug-in completely, rebooting, and then reinstalling. You might need to reset your Logic Pro sound library too. Hope this helps you. /David
  12. Did you try rebooting the Helix and/or your PC/Mac? Also make sure that you're plugged directly into your computer and *NOT* through a USB hub. Hope this helps you. /David
  13. The StageSource can be connected digitally to the Helix via the dedicated Line 6 port. I don't have experience with either, but that might mean something to you.
  14. The updated Helix Edit v2.30 application for your PC/Mac comes with full backup & recovery options now. You can backup and/or export all of your patches, setlists, etc. Recommend doing a full backup and export of everything before proceeding with the upgrade. This step is necessary so you can restore all of your settings, etc. post upgrade.
  15. I use my G70 wireless with my Helix and I absolutely love it.
  16. Press the pedal all the way forward like there’s a button to alternate between EXP1 and EXP2. The wah will auto engage as you press the pedal forward and back. There is no need to enable a button to turn wah on and off.
  17. You're most certainly welcome. I forgot to mention that the small top pocket is about 2" high and that the larger bottom pocket is about 4" high. Happy Holidays, Don. In summary: Top pocket: 8"x6"x2" Bottom pocket: 16"x14"x4"
  18. Hi Don, Here are the dimensions of both outer compartments and some photos. The Helix Floor fits very snug in the main compartment. Hope this helps you. Top pocket: 8"x6" Bottom pocket: 16"x14" Thanks, David
  19. I accidentally cleared the factory presets trying to just reset my Helix Floor back to factory settings. Thank goodness I found the correct "Reset setlists to factory, Global reset, Clear IRs" sequence!
  20. You have to register your Helix Floor first at https://line6.com/account/registergear/. Then you should be able to purchase Helix Native for $99.00. It's great for post-recording activities like re-amping previously-recorded material. The interface is almost exactly like the Helix Edit application, but as a plug-in for Logic Pro or whatever recording software you might use. I rarely use it, but I couldn't say no for less than a hundred bucks. I have found it useful for playing around with effects without having to have my Helix Floor nearby. Hope this help you.
  21. You might try some of the maintenance procedures outlined in this document. Hope this helps you. Line 6's technical support is also very helpful. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/helix/helix-pedal-maintenance-procedure-r861
  22. I figured. I work in AIG's data center network engineering team, so we are very particular on cable management.
  23. Very cool. Nice cable management too.
  24. I suggest uninstalling it, reboot, and reinstall it. I bet that fixes it - just make sure to do a proper uninstall. The instructions are different for macOS and Windows, but there are directions on this forum.
  25. I bought the Helix Floor and then the free backpack is offered about a month later. Just my luck.
