You can certainly cut-and-paste between set lists. I do this all of the time when I copy a built-in template or preset over to one of my set lists.
-
You can also drag-and-drop or cut-and-paste your presets using the HX Edit application on your computer.

I just can't wait to be on the latest version of any software. New reverbs! :)

Did you try another new set of batteries? I've had a brand new set of batteries that had little charge left in them before.- 2 replies

Well now we just need to figure out what language the Helix OS is written on! We now it has a Linux kernel, but that's all I know.
-
old school! I started with PASCAL.

You need to fire up the plug-in in your favorite music editing software and login with your Line 6 credentials to register that device. You can can legally license it on up to 5 devices.

same here! I am a licensed expert racer in the CMRA, work at AIG as a Sr. Network Engineer, and love playing music. :)

It's based on the same software as Helix, so it makes sense to keep it all together.

Make sure you close any other applications accessing USB devices. Make sure you are connecting the devices directly to your computer's USB port with the supplied USB cable and not a USB hub. -
NEVER! :)

One the best decisions I made (beside buying the Helix).
-
It's actually v2.50. :)
-
Yes, if you presets are set to "multi" on your output settings the music will come to the Helix via USB. Note that this is the default settings on the factory patches.

It will work. I have two of those same pedals; however, there is no toe switch jack on the HX Effects or Helix Floor. The Helix Rack is the only model that has it. The HX Effects will definitely support two of those pedals, just not the toe switch. Like I said I have two on my Helix Floor. What's cool about the HX Effects is that you can control channel switching on two different amps using the same shared "Ext Amp/Pedal" jacks.
-
You can connect up to two expression pedals on the new HX Effects. There are two Ext Amp/Pedal connections. It’s in the user manual. You can setup auto wah without having to use the toe switch (which only works on the Helix Rack).

2.30 to 2.31 would be what those of us in the IT world would call a minor release - usually meaning bug fixes or other product enhancements. Incrementing from 2.30 to 2.50 indicates new software functionality which of course v2.50 does have. Cheers. :)

You should open up a ticket with Line 6 Support. They are very good and are very responsive.

There is plenty of stomp buttons for just about anyone's needs!

You'd rather it come out when it's ready rather than when it's announced. Trust me. If you think about it, their big product launch at the 2018 NAMM Show was the HX Effects which of course has v2.50 already in it. They certainly couldn't show off the new effects without mentioning the Helix/Helix Rack/Helix LT release. Line 6 will release when they're back from NAMM and it's ready for the masses. I'm very excited too, and it's coming soon! :)

Welcome to the Helix! There was a slight learning curve for me, but it has now become the centerpiece of my home studio. I absolutely love it. There are plenty of very talented Helix owners on this forum that are available to help answer any questions or scenarios that you might need help with. Since acquiring the Helix, I have purchased two Mission Engineering / Line 6 expression pedals, a Relay G70 wireless unit, and two reference monitors that are the other side of the room. The Helix has so many inputs, outputs, and send/receive loops that I can leave everything cabled up at the same time and switch between the 4CM, 7CM, and/or my FRFR monitors with ease (I have different patches for each setup). I also bought an extra long 30-foot USB 2.0 high-speed cable to my Helix is always hooked up to my DAW. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine! Good luck!

I am wondering about those two Pedal/Ext Amp controller jacks on the HX Effects. I use my Helix with two Marshall amps using the 7-cable method, but I can only change channels on one of them since there is only one Ext Amp jack. Update from the HX Effects manual: "PEDAL/EXT AMP 1-2 Two expression pedals can be connected to the HX Effects device and assigned to adjust a wide variety of parameters. By default, EXP 1 is automatically assigned to control and bypass Wah/Pitch Wham type blocks, and EXP 2 is automatically assigned to control Volume blocks, making them ready for use with your connected expression pedal(s). See "Assigning a Controller" Alternatively, either jack can be connected to your traditional guitar amp to switch its channels or turn its reverb on and off. Use a TRS cable for dual operation (A=tip, B=ring). To set this jack's function. See "Global Settings > Preferences""

I like using my Mission Engineering pedals more for wah effects, etc. than the Helix pedal anyway. The distance is far less than the factory pedal.

Sure! Here you go: http://line6.com/support/topic/18284-latest-helix-firmware-250—coming-soon/

No, you can't do that. These switches have a lot of functionally under the hood that can't be expanded outside of the unit itself.
