  1. I believe you can accomplish this using snapshots. I also have have two amps using the 7 cable method; however, the Helix Floor only as one Ext Amp jack, so I can only perform channel changes on one amp.
  2. You may have to remove the existing license off of your Line 6 profile, and then add it back like phil_m just suggested.
  3. That's why I said for wah, etc. where a switch is not needed. Just answering on behalf of the original question. :)
  4. The toe switch doesn't really matter when you have two external pedals - not for wah type effects, etc. anyway...
  5. I have the same frustration when using the factory presets. I use EXP1 for volume, EXP2 for wah, and EXP3 for whatever else (chorus, etc.). I find that the wah is much easier to use with a Mission Engineering pedal since the distance is physically shorter from 0-100. Auto-engage works perfectly fine on EXP2 or EXP3. You just have to convert all of the factory presets that you use. If you're like me, I just copy what I am interested in to a new preset and adjust accordingly. It would be nice to have a global setting to change this to the default you desire.
  6. I'm going to roll the dice and go from 2.52 to 2.53. As an IT professional, I don't like being behind in version numbers even if it's for hot fixes that don't apply to me. :)
  7. You have to insert a Send/Return Loop 1 block (or Loop 2 depending on how you connected your cables). before the effect blocks that you want going through the effects loop of your amp. Everything after the send/return block will be routed into your effect loop on your amp. Here is how I have my Helix wired. You could use this same topology for the HX Effects. Path B is for super serial or parallel signal chains. cable #1 guitar to Helix cable #2 Helix fx loop send 1 (1/2) to Amp's main input cable #3 Amp fx loop send to Helix fx loop return 2 (1/2) cable #4 Helix 1/4" left (mono) out OR Helix send 3 (3/4) -to- amp's fx loop return
  8. I've read on another thread that it's coming sometime soon...
  9. It will depend on amp to amp, but it's most likely instrument level. It would be the same as if you were using effects pedals going through the effects loop.
  10. You can always buy a Mission Engineering Expression Pedal (or two). I find that the pedal travel is much shorter, so it's easier to use EXP2 or EXP3 for effects. I use EXP1 strictly for a volume pedal. I did have to change all of the factory presets that I was using.
  11. Just because you can doesn't mean that you should. :)
  12. That still doesn't show synergy between Helix and Helix Native which share the same codebase and software features.
  13. Make sure you're using a USB 2.0 high-speed or higher certified cable. I use a 30-foot cable going to my DAW and have no problems whatsoever.
  14. It's just a thought. Unless you dig through the forums, a new user might find it hard to tell that Helix v2.52 aligns with Helix Native v1.50. If they have the same code base (which they absolutely do), then they should share the version numbering. This may not work in the scenario where v2.52 firmware comes out with mostly bug fixes for the hardware. Just looking for some synergy with the versioning. Again, it's just an idea to for Line 6 think about. Thanks.
  15. Thanks. I'll be here all week. :) And I am about to fly on another small plane where this same thing occurred on my first flight today.
  16. You can tweak the wireless channels. I have a G70 and use it with my Helix everyday. No issues.
  17. Ironically I'm at an airport right now (not with my Helix). I'm not sure what airline you fly with, but if I were you I would purchase the Line 6 Helix Backpack and take it to the plane as a carry-on. When you board, you can usually give your bag to a flight attendant who will have it taken to baggage section of the plane. When you arrive at your destination you can usually retrieve your bag right there on the tarmac so it doesn't get sent to the baggage claim. I see this happen on almost every flight I take in the United States. I don't think most airlines even charge for this since it's done while boarding. Hope this helps you! Good luck!
  18. I highly suggest that you consider purchasing the Line 6 Helix Backpack. Your LT will fit just fine and it's a very durable case with lots of protection.
  19. If you upgraded your firmware and then reset your Helix to get the new firmware presets, you have have selected the reset footswitch sequence that resets your presets AND your Global Settings which may have changed what you had set before. Just a thought. I did this once, so that's why I'm offering it as a possibility.
  20. Microsoft skipped Windows 9 just like Apple skipped the iPhone 9. It’s all marketing and sometimes it pays to market your products with common sense and consistency.
  21. Line 6, First off I think your products are FUNtastic! I am extremely happy with my Helix Floor, Helix Native, and the endless possibilities that come with them. Secondly I would like to make a suggestion due to the mass confusion caused by the recent release for Helix v2.50 and HX Edit 2.51. I think it would make sense to align your version numbering across with the entire Helix family. For example, Helix firmware v2.50 was released at the same time that HX Edit 2.51 was released. Additionally, Helix Native v1.50 was released with the same software features, yet all 3 had different version numbering. Version 2.52 is now the same as HX Edit 2.52, yet Helix Native is still at v1.50 (v2.52 looks to be related to fixes on the Helix hardware only). As an IT professional, I think it would make more sense to align your versioning across the entire Helix family. Please consider this during your next update cycle. It would easier for newcomers to see consistently across the related products. Thanks, David
  22. It’s left to right across the entire Helix family.
  23. My advice is take the time and get to know the architecture. There is a little bit of a learning curve, but once you begin to figure it out you will see just how easy it is to use. I use my Helix with two tube amps, but also use it with large studio monitors. The possibilities are absolutely endlesss. Enjoy!
  24. V2.52 is supposed to have fixed this. It came out yesterday, but has been pulled temporarily.
