Thanks for the reply. My thought was that I could remove the Helix and put it in the Backpack case if I need to travel with them. This is mainly for home use. My goal is to have everything on one board with some moderate cable management.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm assuming it worked well for you if you used it for a year. Appreciate the response.

I purchased their IR packs for the Vintage 30, G12M Greenback, G12T-75, and V-Type speakers. I wanted the Vintage 30 and G12M Greenback IR packs to match the speakers in both of my Marshall Mini Jubilees (2525H and the 2525C). They are amazing. Worth every penny.

Dual Rectifier vs Helix (and 12 other modelers)

Not my type of sound or music, but what a great video to compare the different options. Well done. -
Any idea what we can expect in the next update? 2.65 or 2.70?

Hello, I am interested in purchasing either a Pedaltrain Classic Pro (36"x16"x3.5") or Terra 42 (42"x14.5"x3.5") to use with my Helix, two Mission Engineering pedals, and Relay G70. I am concerned about the extra angle being too extreme to use with the Helix LCD screen, button angle, and expression pedals. Please share your experience if you use your Helix with a Pedaltrain board. Thank you so much. Here are the links to the two I am considering: https://pedaltrain.com/collections/big-rigs/products/pt-clp-sc https://pedaltrain.com/collections/big-rigs/products/pt-ter-sc Thanks, David

Post pics of the pedalboard you use in addition to the Helix
VirtualGuitars replied to Rocco_Crocco's topic in Helix
Hey Phil_M, this is close to what I am trying to achieve with my Helix, two Mission Engineering expression pedals, and a Relay G70. Did you remove the rubber feet? I want to put the expression pedals on the Pedaltrain as well, so I guess I will have to remove the feet and re-insert the screws. Thanks, man. -
Using Helix/HX Edit via USB to Thunderbolt adapter

2016 is when Apple transitioned the MacBook Pro line to USB-C, so the 2017 and 2018 models have the same ports. -
Here is my setup using two Marshall Silver Jubilee's with the 7CM. Path 1 is setup for FX Loop 1 and Path 2 is setup for FX Loop 2. If you want to run your effects in stereo, make your Path 1 output PAN LEFT and your Path 2 output PAN RIGHT. This setup works great for me. Just remember that any effects before the FX Loops will be processed in mono regardless if you choose stereo effects or not. No sense wasting the DSP processing power for non-time based effects. I also assign a stomp button for each effect in both paths. In other words, If I select my Delay, it will enable/disable that effect in both paths simultaneously. This should work the same on both the Helix and the HX Effects. Hope this helps you. 4 Cable Method (4CM) Cable #1 Guitar to Helix/HX Effects Guitar In Cable #2 Helix/HX Effects FX Send Loop 1 to Amp #1 Main Input Cable #3 Amp #1 FX Send Loop to Helix/HX Effects FX Return Loop 1 Cable #4 Helix/HX Effects 1/4" Left (mono) Out to Amp #1 FX Return Loop 7 Cable Method (7CM) Cable #5 Helix/HX Effects FX Send Loop 2 to Amp #2 Main Input Cable #6 Amp #2 FX Send Loop to Helix/HX Effects FX Return Loop 2 Cable #7 Helix/HX Effects 1/4" Right Out to Amp #2 FX Return Loop

This is how I have mine cabled. Note that the 7CM is for two amps. You use the FX Loop 1 (and FX Loop 2) blocks to make this work. 4 Cable Method (4CM) Cable #1 Guitar to Helix/HX Effects Guitar In Cable #2 Helix/HX Effects FX Send Loop 1 to Amp #1 Main Input Cable #3 Amp #1 FX Send Loop to Helix/HX Effects FX Return Loop 1 Cable #4 Helix/HX Effects 1/4" Left (mono) Out to Amp #1 FX Return Loop 7 Cable Method (7CM) Cable #5 Helix/HX Effects FX Send Loop 2 to Amp #2 Main Input Cable #6 Amp #2 FX Send Loop to Helix/HX Effects FX Return Loop 2 Cable #7 Helix/HX Effects 1/4" Right Out to Amp #2 FX Return Loop

It's a plug-in only.

No different than PCs. Reboots/reloads usually fix most of the common problems.

how to continue the signal chain to next line?
VirtualGuitars replied to Guitarsarang's topic in Helix
When you drag to Path 1B, you are creating a parallel path. You can also drag the line back to Path 1A at the end of the chain. I do this for effects that don't fit in Path 1A, but I don't necessarily want a separate parallel path on Path 2B. -
Please help me set a 'stereo setup' straight - confused.
VirtualGuitars replied to xmacvicar's topic in Helix
Everything before the FX Loops will be processed in mono no matter if you choose mono or stereo effects blocks; however, everything after the FX Loops will be processes in stereo if you use stereo effects. No sense wasting DSP processing power for no reason.. Only the time-based effects like Chorus and Delay would be noticeably different anyway. -
See my reply to this other post here with an example of cabling and a basic patch: Hopefully this will help you.

This bag has so much padding it's unreal. You cannot go wrong even if it's just for the Helix Control.
-
The byproduct of multitasking. I would still use the backpack since it's so rugged..
-
I own the Line 6 Helix bag and it's awesome. It's very rugged and there's plenty of pocket space for cables, some small pedals, etc. Here is the URL: https://shop.line6.com/helix-backpack.html

I could not agree more. I would love to see some sort AutoSync feature that keeps your patches and IRs in sync between Helix and Helix Native.

Hi, I've asked this before, but I can't remember the answer. I have two Marshall amps that I use with the 7CM. Unlike the HX Effects, the Helix only has one Ext Amp jack and I would like the ability to switch channels on both amps simultaneously. Both Marshall amps use the same configuration on the Helix for channel changes, so I'm looking for a way to split that into two TS connections. What 3rd-party splitter can I use to make this work? Will a simple TRS Y-cable work? Thank you.
