  1. You can still do 8 with v2.30. You need to look at your mode settings.

I was about to buy about 5 BOSS Waza Craft pedals along with a new BOSS pedalboard just to have fun with at home to use with my Marshall combo tube amps as I am not a full-time musician. After reviewing everything the Helix had to offer, I purchased the Helix Floor (admittedly way more than I needed). It was very close to what I was about to spend otherwise. After owning it for 3 months, I have now purchased two Mission Engineering Helix expression pedals and two high-end reference monitors. I have been converted! I learned very quickly that it's so much more than the best multi-FX unit out there! So, I "was" that guy you were referring to up above. Once you go FRFR you may not go back!
  3. I just started a thread on my Helix setup with my two amps and reference monitors. I hope this helps somebody. The patch is very basic, but it works! http://line6.com/support/topic/31454-my-helix-4cm7cm-setup/
  4. Hello, I wanted to share my Helix 4CM/7CM setup with my two Marshall tube amps for those new Helix owners. I also have two Gibson Les Paul reference monitors on my desk connected via the XLR outputs. I bought a 30-foot USB cable to connect my Helix to my MacBook Pro which is on the other side of the room. I am very pleased with the results! I hope this helps somebody that hasn't tried the 4CM or 7CM. This is just for me at home, so please forgive my poor cable management. As an IT professional, I have to admit it could be a lot better. :) 4 Cable Method (4CM) for Amp #1 Cable #1 Guitar to Helix Guitar In Cable #2 Helix FX Send Loop 1 to Amp #1 Main Input Cable #3 Amp #1 FX Send Loop to Helix FX Return Loop 1 Cable #4 Helix 1/4" Left (mono) Out to Amp #1 FX Return Loop 7 Cable Method (7CM) for Amp #2 Cable #5 Helix FX Send Loop 2 to Amp #2 Main Input Cable #6 Amp #2 FX Send Loop to Helix FX Return Loop 2 Cable #7 Helix 1/4" Right Out to Amp #2 FX Return Loop
  5. No worries! I was mainly just wanting a one level Undo in the HX Edit application. It shouldn't be that hard to reverse the previous action which is basically an API call to the hardware. Just a simple undo would be nice, but it would be difficult to undo a deleted patch for example. I do get that.
  6. I am a registered Apple developer; however, I'm a senior network engineer at AIG for my real day job.
  7. That's exactly what I was suggesting. Thanks for adding the details.
  8. I have experienced the same thing. My studio monitors are connected via the XLR outputs and music played from my computer into the Helix via USB is much, much louder than the guitar input. I haven't tweaked any of those settings yet, but the difference in volume is at least 10 to 1.
  9. It's in the input/output settings. You may have the page over to see it. If can be configured to tip, ring, etc.
  10. If you don't like the default settings, then change them in the patches you use the most. Problem solved. :)
  11. At a minimum it would be nice to have an "Undo" action in the HX Edit application. Ctrl-Z (Windows), Command-Z (macOS), etc. That should be very easy for the Line 6 developers to implement.
  12. Have you confirmed your Helix configuration settings for the Ext Amp output in Global Settings?
  13. Thank you for sharing. Very cool.
  14. I now have my two Marshall tube amps using the 7 cable method connected to the TS outs along with the send/returns and two studio monitors connected to the XLR outputs. I have to say I love it. Way more than I need, but why not? Luckily I have very little noise or hum. :)
  15. I have a Helix Floor with a G70 and I absolutely love them both. I also have two Mission Engineering pedals, two Marshall tube amps (7 cable method), and two studio monitors, so I have cables going all over the place. Sometime I wish I had the Helix Rack instead. Just food for thought.
  16. Nice! Thanks for the update, Phil!
  17. Welcome! There are a ton of experienced people on here (myself excluded) that can help you with just about anything you run into. You're going to love it!
  18. You're welcome! I'm glad you got it all sorted out. There are a lot of Line 6 gurus and smart people on this forum with a ton of experience and are very helpful for just about anything you run into. Welcome!
  19. You can configure the Helix with a TRS cable to use dual functionality. I am doing this right now with my Marshall amps. It might work for yours too.
  20. The Helix is a fantastic guitar interface. The Helix Floor is the nucleus of my entire system. You can re-amp with the Helix Native plug-in for stuff you have previously recorded. That was still worth the discounted price of $100 no matter how bad I play. :)
  21. You will not be disappointed. Just make sure and give yourself some time to learn how to unleash the power and features. The possibilities are literally endless!
  22. You can sync your Helix device with the Helix Native plug-in. I own both, but I've never loaded any additional IRs. You can definitely sync your presets. I honestly haven't messed with the plug-in too much, so I'm not sure I've helped you answer your question.
