  1. yes to everything... although i do think you'd probably be served just as well with the pod hd desktop. summary: 1. yes 2. yes 3. yes 4. yes (subjective... but the modeling is newer technology and this is my opinion)
  2. hard to tell... but look for any sort of usb filters, or any sort of midi related programs. in the past logitech cameras had caused issues as well... might also check for driver updates... i'd google and use slimdrivers as it will find things you'd easily forget.... (assuming we're talking windows here....)
  3. that leads me to believe that you have some other software on your system interfering. have you tried a different machine?
  4. might be the DAW you're using too... the original pod farm is 32bit only... and logix pro x is only 64bit....
  5. if it was a gearbox plugin, that automatically got a free upgrade to pod farm (version 1) of course that won't really do you any good... since it requires line6 hardware to use...
  6. I'm sure they are working on updates... just not sure they will be for use on the current products... my guess is that whatever they are working on will be for a new product... (only a guess though)
  7. one would hope that you would have chosen your products based on what it does at the time... not on what it could hypothetically do at some future date....
  8. I'd be pleasantly surprised and in near shock if an m13 update came out... in my mind... far more likely that an m13 mkii would be released before an update.
  9. a quick look shows that you're not that far off... sorry it just seemed from the conversation that you were basing it off new prices... might try putting what you really want on it say 750$ with the best offer option.... say maybe take the first 650$ you get... but obviously thats for you to decide... again, good luck.
  10. no screenshot, and are you using gearbox? using monkey to put tones on the x3, is not the best way.
  11. Computers are not the same as this type of hardware, and i've witnessed this very action correct a number of issues. it's easy enough to try... and works SOMETIMES... so why not give it a shot if it might help?
  12. Good Luck man... don't envy your situation, but i doubt you'll get anywhere close to "new" prices if you aren't an authorized reseller etc... no matter how new it is. as they say... depreciation happens the minute you drive it off the lot... you should probably be aiming for higher used prices (check ebays sold items) rather than lower new prices... anyway not trying to bust down on you cause it sucks... but with your current strategy you're going to have it for a while.. so you may as well use it. :)
  13. if you have and use pod farm, i'd keep the model packs... honestly, they don't impress many people when looking at the units used.... just saying, if they might possibly be useful to you, i'd keep them, and sell the unit with just the standard models.
  14. in the simplest of language your expectations simply do not align with reality.... sorry... should we try and sugarcoat that? or give it to you straight.... well my straight talk does not intend to offend... sorry you are having issues... the fix that you seek is to pretty much find a broken donor on ebay. if it's worth it to you to do so.... if it's not worth it, you wouldn't be here kicking up a fuss would you? what exactly is your issue? can't expect to get much offered in the way of a fix without disclosing that.
  15. fixed that for you. in the end though whatever works... but don't fool yourself.
  16. Support is ending soon: http://line6.com/support/forum-19/announcement-18-end-of-support-for-legacy-products/ please contact Line6 directly if you require assistance
  17. so you're going to complain that i exercised my very same right, to point out the irony in your drama queen antics. I guess that amendment only applies to those that agree with you.
  18. but in the meantime you'll freely give your time to troll Line6 forums to complain about your 10 year old electronic device failing. well, thanks...
  19. keep in mind there is some risk to using multiple interfaces and ASIO4ALL... biggest of which is that it no longer truly adheres to the ASIO specifications... meaning any reported latency numbers are false. ASIO controls latency, jitter and figital artifacts by requiring that the input and output are controlled by a single HARDWARE clock. switching to a SOFTWARE clock, that was entirely reverse engineered, defeats those specs... which were essentially the entire reason for the creation of ASIO... that and to bring some uniformity to audio interfaces... before there was a ton of proprietary drivers and nearly no compatibility between them. my recommendation is to get a single interface that does what you need it to do... i've used ASIO4ALL in the past, because i was too broke or too poor to do so... so clearly it has it's place... but it's certainly not the best way to do things.
  20. I don't really use it like that, so i can't say. I pretty much do all my DAW/Midi stuff on an M-Audio Axiom 25 I tend to be pretty straight forward when recording the live tracks. besides i actually have the FBV MKII and the pro, so i could use the FBV post recording like you want. I'm trending towards doing all the plugin stuff towards the end so i don't get distracted by all the shiny toys when trying to get an idea down.
  21. its nice for recording to have the software/hardware version that matches... but yeah i'd go 500 as well (you could also go pro...)
  22. Interesting approach, not far off, I need to try with some different guitars, had the jaguar HH handy and that wasn't quite working for it, but i could hear the intent in there... (just happen to have roundwound 12's on it too) i know it's a tele on the recording so i'll drag that out at some point and see if it lines it up. thanks again for the effort.
  23. The DSP limit really isn't that bad on the 500... only ever had the limit turn up when using dual tones for the most part.... or when i otherwise am just trying to see what i can get away with... if you're looking used the 500's will be far more plentiful and priced better anyway...
