  1. the ability to reamp from the pedal is built into the usb streams. the editor cannot reamp. it's too early to say if a plugin, VST, or software reamp solution will come... certainly not on release... but not ruled out for the future either...
  2. yes, with alot more options!
  3. the other part of any delay in any sort of tone match offerings... is that currently there are no tones to match to.... after helix is out a while and a custom tone library builds up... it might make more sense.... just a little friendly debate on it though... not that i know anything about the prospect one way or the other.
  4. No, just the icons of the type like the amplifi app/helix screen as far as i know...
  5. well you might have to reauthorize the software in a backup or replacement scenario.... the model packs are always there... when you pay line6 they add the unlock to your account.... so you may have to connect in the future if the pod needs restored.... but typically not... you can also install on 4 devices the same model packs so you can have your backup ready ahead of time.
  6. if the light is not coming on, that sounds like it's broken to me.
  7. its not available in the edit software if that's where you're looking... none of the global settings are.... its on the hardware itself and meant as a final tweak to adjust all your tones to the venue.
  8. just a guess... but it may have signed driver enforcement or some other scheme that microsoft has used in the past preventing the driver install. you should be able to lookup disabling this from previous versions win7/8 and maybe figure it out?
  9. its not going to look anything like pod farm... the editor is going to look exactly like what you see on the helix screen itself. pretty much identical experience to editing on the hardware itself.. with the exception that a computer keyboard will make naming things easier on the computer.
  10. there could be a hardware issue... but the issue could be the usb ports on your computer just as easy... if possible try an addon card to add new usb ports... as a suggestion... not making excuses... just something i might try being like a 15$ investment versus an out of warranty service trip...
  11. not necessarily... most are unlikely to see these issues... they appear only when tones were started on the more early firmwares.... which of course can be downloaded etc... so it does happen.... but for the most part... its surely good practice to backup.... but i wouldn't do much else unless results called for it. you can generally stop the reboot loop by using the left power on trick...
  12. Possible and probable cause for that kind of issue. As things are optimized and changed their DSP requirements can change causing this sort of loop. I've seen it more than a few times.
  13. Most likely one of your older tones are conflicting. Backup bundle and then let firmware overwrite all of your tones. This should get you to the right level. Then restore your backed up bundle. If it happens again hold left direction key while powering on. Worst case you might have to rebuild the bad tone. But that's unlikely to be the case.
  14. try running slimdrivers. there may be a conflict with some other system drivers.. chipset/usb/motherboard etc that may be less obvious.
  15. have you tried holding the direction key left and plugging it in? this should do a global reset (but wont erase your tones)
  16. True. but support had long ended for the vetta before the MKII boards were released... (support is different than simply ceasing production) the board made for the vetta (the longboard) had extra vetta buttons and no usb... even if it was easy though... you don't revisit something you've ended support on... it resets the timer and you end up supporting your changes for a length of time... endless cycle.... unfortunately.
  17. the price on those were high because they took the guts from an actual guitar they had to buy... i personally think it was the dumbest idea since the unsliced bagel... but someone disagreed enough to make it anyway :)
  18. It's a third party app. Everyone here will be happy to help. Big there will not be any official instructions from line6. You might pursue the previously mentioned project page. Also of note. You need to update the amp to 2.0 before it will work properly. No mention of you having done that, but perhaps you have.
  19. Helix control will only control Helix rack and basically anything on a mac/pc it does not have midi ports that could be used to control other equipment. (just USB and ethernet based helix control port as far as i know...) you might be able to control something like that if your helix control is plugged into a Helix rack and the axefx is plugged into its midi ports.... but not thinking that's what you were getting at.....
  20. Added, recent links that were posted here. although i read pretty much every forum post... if the link doesn't get posted here, i'm going to assume that it's already listed....
  21. Not really. Sorry. But it's 100$ or a lucky visit to eBay.
  22. The update is very minor in respect to using the DT with a pod. You could easily not have it and not notice. The firmware update is amazing awesome and quite noticeable if using the amp by itself. The options available are great.
  23. All new amp models. HX not HD From the ground up.
  24. No Bluetooth. Rca to 1/4" would work.
