  1. So if you capture the dry (weak) signal, is it still unusable with you other (non-Line6) vst plugs? If so not you may need a separate pre-amp to the UX line in, or an entirely different interface. I have cheap Peavy mic and can get a usable dry signal into Reaper, it is pretty weak, but still usable. FWIW, when I was using a Lexicon USB interface, the built-in pre-amps gave more signal than the UX2.
  2. Why do you want to run the PODxt into the UX1? You are adding an extra D/A to A/D conversion that is not needed. You should be able to use the PODxt directly to GB via USB. Also, which ever interface you are using (PODxt or UX1), you need to connect your speakers directly to it.
  3. Do you mean you purchased Model Pack(s) from Line 6 or tone files/bundles from not Line 6?
  4. Are you selecting Line6 UX2 ASIO driver in Studio One? When you arm a track for recording are you selecting the UX2's inputs?
  5. Did you try searching the hdd? Was this a preset that came with PF2?
  6. There is no second input. You have 2 in's going to your DAW because the PODxt L can send stereo.
  7. Depending on your DAW and computer, it's pretty common to have latency when monitoring vst's in realtime. I would use the Line6 ASIO driver, and from the Line6 Audio-MIDI device control panel have the PODxt send unprocessed but monitor the processed. Dial in a tone close to what you are going for in GR and then add GR to the dry track post processing.
  8. I haven't used Cubase for several years. By audio mixdown, do you mean you are rendering it to a format for playback, such as mp3, wav, ect...?
  9. Can Monkey see it and are there green ticks for everything? Have you double checked the Line6 Audio-MIDI device control panel to ensure the proper input is selected? Have you tried a new USB cable?
  10. What DAW are you using? Are you trying to use the PODxt as just the interface or are you wanting to use it's tones and effects with Guitar Rig?
  11. What POD Farm did you purchase? A hardware independent software license? Or do you have a new POD Studio device (black-faced), UX2 UX1, KB37 GX? If you have a POD Studio device it needs to be connected via USB to authorize the license.
  12. Glad you got it sorted. FWIW, POD Farm 1.12 replaces Gearbox and is free (POD Farm 2.5 is not free for older units). But if you have a new POD Studio (black-faced) it most likely is bundled with the POD Farm 2.5 license, albeit tied to the device.
  13. My mistake, I think you can only do the driver install outside of Monkey. But you can download the Flash Mem file outside Monkey then specifically point Monkey to the file instead of have Monkey retrieve it.
  14. Na, didn't think that, since you are monitoring the same for both rec and playback. The reason I asked if you were capturing stereo was if you were monitoring in stereo and only capture the L or R there could be a difference depending on the signal chain. Have you tried using the X3 as your interface and recording directly via USB to see if there is a difference?
  15. Can you hear the POD if you have input monitoring off? Are you capture a stereo track? Do the waveforms look ok?
  16. Could be feed back. How are you monitoring the sound? What are you using to record?

  18. Line6 rarely monitors these forums. If you run Monkey and have green ticks for drivers, flash, and POD Farm and still have issues, (I know it's a PITA) you should submit a support ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/
