  1. I'm 99% sure, based on what you described, that a power tube change and fuse replacement will fix your issue. Like I said, that was identical to my experience.
  2. That last sentence should be your new tagline.
  3. Sounds like the mid focus eq is more important in the direct/frfr realm than in the tube amp live realm. I tried it with my 500X/DT25 after reading some of these posts and it sounded terrible and nasally. I will keep it in my back pocket though, if I'm in need of cutting through the mix like a chainsaw.
  4. There are two fuses on the back of the DT25. One in a round receptacle labeled tube protection, and another directly below the power plug. That is likely the one that blew. My amp did exactly the same thing when my power tube went bad. Replace power tubes (and bias), replace fuse under power plug, and you SHOULD be up and running. There are several old posts on this forum that state the current/voltage requirements of the fuses.
  5. I like how you say "had been". Very accurate.
  6. Yes, it lowers the signal entering the pedal to what it would get from a guitar, not from an audio source. It may help.
  7. Is your fx loop set to line or amp? If going into a pedal, it should be set to amp.
  8. Digital Igloo has stated before that it won't be this way next gen. I'd hunt for the post but I dont wanna!
  9. Mine made it about four months and took the fuse with them too.
  10. I use this on every patch. Works perfectly well. It has saved me more than a few times depending on what else is in the patch.
  11. DI, since you are telling us (inasmuch as you can in corporate-speak) that the HD is not "mothballed" and there is more to (possibly) come, can you tell us if it's "maybe" models, "maybe" new cabs, or "maybe" both? If not, that's cool. You can apologize by sending me a Line 6 knitted cap. All kidding aside, thanks for even involving yourself to let us know you guys are around. There's a lot more interaction with L6 employees in the Relay Wireless forum, but there's also not as many posts to reply to. It's a thankless job setting foot in here, I'm sure.
  12. Line 6 tried to, but Fractal overvalued themselves by 3X or so.. 😜
  13. I put it at the beginning of my chain before anything else so I'm compressing/sustaining a clean signal with no extra noise from effects. A compressor will amplify any signal, including distortion hiss, so before dirt pedals is always a good idea. If you use single coils, you may want to put a noise gate before the compressor, but that's personal preference. As far as settings, that depends on what type of guitar, pickups etc. My settings vary depending on which patch it's used in. You will have to tweak until YOU find what you like. Happy hunting!
  14. Yes. An old cartoon from the 70's. Google "Star Blazers". Was my favorite when I was young. That and Shogun Warriors. Classics!
  15. And a cool avatar! Loved Star Blazers as a kid! Any picture of the Argo/Yamato is just awesome.
  16. It's probably better for recorded demo's than just about any other price-point comparison out there. I gotta say, the HD holds it's own very well. I liked the Tonelab on one, but Pod on the rest. Boss and Zoom were garbage to me.
  17. fullcompass.com stocks them, but I don't have the link in front of me. Search the forums as I know both have been linked to, or simply call L6 and ask for the part numbers. They were the ones that referred me to fullcompass and told me what part number to look for.
  18. There are several posts around the forum for how to fix the switches when they start to wear. Search the forums for it and you should see multiple options. Opening up the chassis and stretching the spring or cleaning the contact point directly would probably be your best bet.
  19. You can try downloading the file to your hard drive and then select "update from file" and see if that works.
  20. Ya, put it on the list with eq's in hz and amp models folks have been requesting for years. I'm sure you've heard the expression "wish in one hand..."
  21. Reverse the parameters for your pitch glide so toe is normal and heel is 2 octaves. Other than that, there isn't a solution with pedal ignoring position. Sorry!
  22. Slash on Appetite for humbucker tones, and David Gilmour's solo on "Time" for single coils. Sounds like his amp is actually on fire. SRV has an excellent single coil tone too. Def Leppard on High and Dry is really good too. Especially "Let it Go"
  23. Thanks for the update! So it is mostly aimed at amplifi users eh? I kinda had that feeling. I was hoping it was also some Pod HD stuff. I'll still go just to try for free stuff I guess. I appreciate the update!
