Dshow
Just read Line6 tweet: The year of the guitarist is here. Find out why at #NAMM #innovation #tone #Line6 Seems that there will be some News for us soon
TheRealZap
the YEAR of the guitarist..... NAMM is merely the start of the gear year. :)
duncann
Digital_Igloo recently made a comment on these forums: Posted 13 January 2015 - 03:24 PM Yes, there are new devices coming at NAMM, and then more later throughout 2015.
gunpointmetal
at least they didn't tweet "GREATEST THING GUITARIST HAVE EVER SEEN READY TO REVOLUTIONIZE YOUR BATHROOM!" or something ridiculous like when they launched amplifi
pianoguyy
there is always something new coming down the pike I don't shop based on tomorrow. I buy what I need based on what is available today, now, when I need it.
cruisinon2
I heard its a partnership with an as yet unnamed pharmaceutical company...they've finally developed a pill that will turn the worst player in the world into a virtuoso. Possible side effects include constant bleeding from both eyes, demonic possession, and an uncontrolable desire to cover "Roxanne" as a polka.
stumblinman
My sources tell me that the announcement will be that Yamaha is buying Fractal, and they will release a new modeler combining Fractal and Line 6 tech and it will be called... wait for it.... mdmayfield
I heard they were going to invent some kind of Internet-enabled POD that could play music, called the "I-Pod" or something... Or was it some computer company that was going to do that? I'm a little behind the times. (I kid)
MartinDorr
It's just a low-cost variax made by Yamaha to go with the Amplify product line ... But I hope a little it's not (just that)

bjnette
The guitar will link to phone and tablet and via an app. It is an undercut device to create customers and bridge them to move up to AmplFi and onto the dream rig. LOL I am only guessing but it is a good strategy along the lines of iRig
cruisinon2
How would Variax connect to AMPLIFi? There's no VDI. With a little Crisco and a running start...it'll fit.

Palico
I'm sure it's something on the Variax. Notice they cut the color options available on the JTV and the recent price drops on the JTV. Maybe a Yahama Variaxs instead of Tyler?
sinistralx
Man!! If it IS something significant I take my hat off to line 6 for keeping it under wraps. No-one has any idea what it could be. Line6 should give apple a few tips on 'doubling down' on secrecy!
saTa
After amplifi, I can't take L6 announcements seriously anymore. Let's remain calm and wait and see.
DarrellM5
I'll help feed the rumor mill. I predict it will be a Yamaha 7 String Variax with piezzo, magnetic and midi pickups along with integrated bluetooth (allowing you to run Workbench from your mobile phone). sinistralx
After amplifi, I can't take L6 announcements seriously anymore. Let's remain calm and wait and see. I actually think Amplifi75 is a great product. It actually made me play more! I had to sell mine to afford a L3t but in a perfect world with more disposable income I would certainly have one of these permanently sitting in my living room. saTa
It may be a great product, but do you remember the hype? "THE GUITAR AMP, REINVENTED"... really?

sinistralx
It may be a great product, but do you remember the hype? "THE GUITAR AMP, REINVENTED"... really? LOL, yeah, true...... this is why I am so intrigued by this NAMM... there has been zero hype this time round and yet I have seen a few post by Line 6 demo guys that they are familiarizing themselves with new gear for this week........... I'm a sucker for marketing antics :)
maxnew40
I heard a rumor that they are replacing the Stagesource speaker line with a new updated line that will be compatible with the previous speakers. :-) -Max
timothybaugh
A product named Helix was apparently leaked but withdrawn ... rumours say the name has to be changed. How about a Yamaha Pacifica-based Variax?
bjnette
It must be hard for any company to keep a new release under wraps till NAMM. Best get some hype on it early unless there isn't much to rave about

ozbadman
From what I understand, Line 6's new release is a tiara that scans your brain in realtime and plays the music you hear in your head. Interestingly, it still doesn't help people who are tone deaf. And in truth, because they're a modelling company, it actually plays the music you hear in your head as if it was in the head of the person standing next to you. Because it is actively engaged with your DNA, it's was supposed to be called the double-helix, but you can't trademark DNA, so they had to reduce it to helix.

It's actually a DSP powered model of the lost diadem of Ravenclaw. When the user wears the tiara (diadem) it has emulations designed to model the thinking process of the greatest guitarists, musicans, song writers and composers. You can also set it to dual-hemispheres mode, which allows the user to combine thinking processes of two artists at the same time! During beta testing, something did go wrong however; the user experienced a temporal brain merge involving the left brain thought process of Ozzy Osbourne as filtered through the right brain of the Mozart emulation, and he thought he was a rubber ducky for three days. We're happy to announce he achieved 99% pesonality recovery! Sometimes he still barks at the moon while quacking like the Afflac duck in 3/4 time. ;)
