  1. Yes, the MP3 input, however a lot depends on the output level (and impedance) of your pedal.
  2. Not sure there is a good way around this. I've never tried it, but have heard that PCs can only recognize one USB audio device at a time, so you would not be able to use the Pod as your input device and the Scarlett as your output device. Latency can be shortened in your DAW by adjusting buffer size.
  3. Using Line 6 Monkey and an FBV Express or Shortboard MkII, you should be able to update direct to 2.0. Note that you will want to update the FBV firmware, too (first). There were some issues getting Monkey to recognize the devices plugged in with older Windows versions, not really sure on Win10
  4. No - some sounds/patches have a stereo sound, some don't. As a plug-in you would set the channel the plug-in is inserted into as mono or stereo.
  5. You can try a factory reset - hold the 'Clean' button in while turning on the power. Unfortunately, the Spider 15 is not field serviceable (it would cost more, labor-wise, to fix it than it is worth.)
  6. You cannot use the free version of Podfarm as a VST, only as stand-alone. You either need a Line 6 interface device (or iLok that comes with a PodFarm version) or to buy the full version by itself. Sorry.
  7. Hi Roland, now that you have explained what you are trying to do, that explains your initial question. Are you using the looper for looping your guitar at all, or just for backing tracks? Unfortunately, the Line 6 amps don't offer a post-preamp FX loop circuit, something users have been asking for many years. When using a looper for backing tracks, its best to send its output to a PA system, as guitar amps really are not made to reproduce full frequency undistorted sound which is what is needed for this application.
  8. Yes, you would need some kind of external mic preamp (i.e from a mixer) to be able to use a mic. If you are using a Firehawk for your guitar, you don't need the Spider amp's FX anyway.
  9. No, not really. You need a mic preamp, which the amp does not have. Rather than buy a preamp or a mixer to then plug your mic into the aux input of the amp, it would be better to get a USB Audio Interface which is specifically made for recording and will have at least one mic preamp in it.
  10. I lost all my GB presets (if there was a way to move them from GB to PF it certainly was not documented), sounds were not the same (anyway) when switching from GB to PF - the amp choices had different names, etc.
  11. It sure would be nice if Line 6 offered a (substantial) discount on HN to people who have the full version of PF (since PF will obviously never get any more updates). Or will they just offer a stripped-down (i.e. super limited) version of HN, the same way they did the PF release and Gearbox?
  12. Many of us have been waiting (and asking) about updates to PodFarm - for years. Looks like there won't be any. I just happened to see an ad (in Tape Op magazine) for Helix Native, so did a search and found some threads here in the Helix forum about it - still in Beta testing. My questions is - will PodFarm users who have the full package get any kind of discount to the Helix Native s/w when its released? Or will it be like when they obsoleted Gearbox - "here's the stripped down version of PF for you; oops, you lose half your amps, your custom patches, etc, but the sound is much better".

    Where is Native?

So will owners of the full PodFarm package get any kind of discount towards Helix Native? Here we've been waiting for ANY updates to PF for years, and all of a sudden we'll be as obsolete as Gearbox owners were? (I was one of those, too)
  14. This could be 'loose knob' issue. Back all the controls except the master volume to 0, then select your preset. See if the problem still happens. If the problem goes away, then you need to figure out which knob(s) are causing the problem, with one at a time, turn them half way, select a preset and see if anything happens. Once you find out which knob is the issue, you can place a small rubber o-ring on the shaft behind the knob which will make the knob harder to turn. If the problem still happens, then try a factory reset next - if you have any saved patches, back them up to your computer first (you need an FBV Mk II foot pedal for that). Hold the 'A' button in while turning on the power, keep it held in for about 5 seconds. This will change all the patches back to the factory settings. If the problem still happens, the amp will need to go to a factory service center for evaluation.
  15. 'Down tuned' may be the clue - check your settings, if they got changed (say from 48k/24 bit to 44k/24 bit), this could happen.
  16. Hey Leonardo, no need to post the same thing in multiple old threads - start a new one, if you need to. After 'cooling off' does the amp work again? If so, then it may be a bad solder joint on the circuit board (no way for you to find it, though). If not, then it could be an internal fuse.
  17. You have to set the input on PodFarm (mixer) to the USB mic.
  18. Well, you said it was when you turned up the volume, which could possibly introduce enough vibration to move the knob slightly.
  19. Sounds like it may be 'loose knob syndrome' - the extra volume causes vibration , making the knob turn a little bit. Only solution I've seen for this is installing a small rubber o-ring under the knob.
  20. Assume you've got it figured out now, from your other post. Little 4-way button to go between banks, Preset knob to change between A to D patch locations.
  21. How do you have your guitar connected to your computer - what audio interface are you using? There is a track monitoring button in Reaper, but your interface should also have a control for 'direct monitoring'.
