    This Windows setting (USB power) can affect older versions of Win as well, and other interfaces beside Line 6. Really stupid Windows feature, as USB power consumption is minmal at worst.

    If you use the UX2 for monitoring (headphones/speakers), latency should be at the minimum. Using the internal soundcard on your computer may create longer latency times. Bluetooth could, as well.

    Are you running Windows? Make sure that the UX2 is selected as the audio device in its Sound tab, and that the audio volume control is not at 0%

    How are you trying to monitor - speakers or headphones? Are they plugged into the UX1?

    Hi ES. This is the first time I've heard of any problem with the factory reset with the most-updated firmware version - and I've been on these forums since getting my Spider IV 75 six(?) years ago. I suspect you may have had a bug in your firmware (which should be corrected now).

    If you had the same problem with a powered hub, then I would guess you are correct in that the hub connection just does not work with the UX2 (BTW, I have heard the same for other audio interfaces, too.)

    Can't give you a 'comparison', but the Scarlets will work fine for use with HN or any DAW (recording software). If you have an electric guitar with active pickups, you may need to watch your input signal level into the Scarlets.

    Pitch/speed change can sometimes happen when different sample rates are use - for example recording at 48K and playing back at 44.1K

    So you are not getting any signal into Reaper from the UX2? When you 'arm' a track for recording, you have to select the input device in the track (Ch 1/left, CH2/right, stereo, MIDI, for example).

    You have the UX2 selected as your audio input and output device in Reaper, correct? As Gaz mentioned, you may get some small latency if you monitor the PodFarm channel using the 'monitor' function in Reaper.

    Assume you want to use the onboard soundcard because you have your speakers hooked up to it. A device like the Mackie passive Big Knob would allow you to hook up the audio outputs form both your computer and UX1 to is, with the speakers, and just a simple push button ability to change over the inputs.

    Check your settings, I have heard of this happening when the interface (UX2) is set at one sample rate (44.1 kHz for example) and the software is set at a different one (48kHz).

    How are you listening to the sound - i.e. how do you have the HD500X plugged into the computer, and where are the headphones/speakers plugged into? Reaper has a 'monitor' button on each track - this lets you hear the sound as it is being recorded, but if you are 'direct monitoring' you would get the direct sound of the guitar in the HD PLUS the slightly-delayed signal coming back from Reaper.

    The software (drivers) are easy, once you have the UX2 connected and registered with Line 6, as you can download them. The bigger problem you have is only having a Thunderbolt port - you'll need to get an adapter (I assume someone makes one) that is USB2 to Thunderbolt,

    Reaper should open even if the plug-in is in a new location, you should just get an error message that it can't find the file, and the project will load without it. Something more serious happening, I'm afraid.

    Actually this sounds like a sample rate setting mismatch in the drivers or settings.

    Are you using an XLR cable from mic to UX2? Do you have the '+48v' switch pushed in on the front of the UX2?

    The echo/delay is often referred to as 'lag' - the time it takes the software to process the sound and put it back out to the UX2. You hear an echo because you have you monitoring to hear both the live (input) sound plus the processed sound (delayed). You'll need to check your buffer settings in Ableton, never heard of anyone having this problem with stand-alone PodFarm

    You would do better to ask your question in the HD500 section of this forum, but you should know that the FBV Mk1 is an old device (many years) and backwards compatibility (old to new) of ANY manufacturers' equipment is not guaranteed. Per this page: http://line6.com/legacy/fbvs The SHortboard Mk1 is not compatibile with the HD series.

    I can't listen/watch your youtube (at work), but your problem sounds like a software issue - what are you sending the audio to? (DAW) Your description sounds like a gate that is turning on/off.
