Yes, it will push more of a signal which will allow you to bounce the signal around a bit in a crowded room.

G10 bass signal jumped to G10 guitar
jbuhajla replied to Phaedrus51's topic in Relay Digital Wireless
That does make sense. -
Did you create your preset without a cabinet model or IR since you are running into a 2x12?
-
There are probably some apps on an iDevice that could work for this. Doubt Line 6 will implement it into their hardware.
-
I've got my account set up to where I get an email when new firmware releases are made. When I get the email, I go update my Helix. That's pretty much it...

Yes. You can assign any parameters to the expression pedals. So you can do more than even volume and wah.
-
Put the looper on a parallel path with a different output set to that path.
-
There will almost always be the case unless you are building your presets on the system that you are playing live with at live volume levels. If you are creating presets listening on a different system (different speakers, headphones, IEMs, etc...), then playing on a different live PA, your preset will not sound the same. This is where the Global EQ comes to play. You can turn that on then tweak it to the room/PA you are on at the time live. Then when you are done with that gig, you turn the global EQ back off.

Open a support ticket with Line 6.

Do a search on Youtube about Helix Snapshots and you'll see what is actually going on when you use them.

Not a bass player, but I have had 0% success on custom tone. I do all my own presets. My suggestion would be to start simple with a "real" rig that you already know and have experience with. Once you nail that, then you can start nailing other more complex rigs that you may be trying to emulate.

No, nothing is "out of the box" in Helix. So you are really not referring to the just the amp, but the amp and cabinet combination that doesn't sound "right" to you? That brings up the subject of on board cabinet models and/or/vs IRs. That's a whole different ball game. Remember, "out of the box" is what ever Line 6 decided to have as parameter factory defaults on every amp/effect/cab model in the Helix. You will 99% of the time require some adjustment to reach the tones in your head.

It's also just as easy to integrate the Helix in a DAW on your PC. You can download and try Reaper for free. With Helix you get 8 inputs and 8 outputs over USB to the DAW. So you can record your stereo guitar signal into say USB 3/4 and also simultaneously record your dry guitar signal on USB 7 for processing/reamping later through Helix. I've actually recorded a bunch of dry guitar stuff and use that dry guitar track as the input of my preset while I tweak the preset without having to play guitar. You can also use the on board looper to do that. Put a looper block at the front of your signal chain in your preset, record a bunch of guitar stuff in the looper, then just let the looper play while you tweak your preset. Yes, way beyond 20 years ago...

Yup, just connect Helix to PC via USB. You may need the windows ASIO driver available on the Line 6 website, downloads section. Audio from your PC will come in to USB 1/2 IN automatically. In global settings>Ins Outs>USB 1/2 In Trim, you can adjust volume of the audio. Then just play along with your backing tracks until your heart's content.

That's what they do, just produces a "note".

I do like the input/output meters on the AxeIII.

Helix - Marshall Front-end Dirt and Effects-loop Return Clean
jbuhajla replied to bedeedlededo's topic in Helix
Yes on all the Marshall questions. Search Youtube for Helix 4 cable method. That gives you the ability to put Helix stuff in front of your amp and in the effects loop. For the K12s, you could put them on either side of your 4x12 and have a separate signal path with Helix full amp models/effects running to those. So, you can run your Marshal stack AND Helix models at the same time, or independently. You would be able to do true Wet/dry/wet, etc... -
Unless I am intending to squish the heck out of the signal, I usually have the mix down from 100% to some degree.
-
This is what I am waiting for. I miss those "legacy" synth sounds.

Sounds like you have a corrupt patch where it is stopping on the rebuild process. Delete it and try again.

It doesn't cost anything to open a support ticket to see what they say.
