  1. You may want to open a support ticket with Line 6 to get their help.
  2. Did this happen after an update? If not, you may have a hardware issue and you should open a support ticket.
  3. I've noticed on some amps when I control drive and channel volume at the same time with a foot switch, I can get a distinct "POP" when going from high drive to low drive. In that case, I use an expression pedal to smoothly transition instead of instantaneous. It's also good to mention that Channel Volume does not effect tone, it is just overall volume control for the amp block.
  4. I use the cheap plastic Line 6 EXP-1 expression pedals. I've had one of them for years, and got another recently. Both for less than the price of one Mission pedal. Yes, they leave my house every week to be played live. They hold up just fine.
  5. Is the transmitter seated firmly in the receiver base, and showing a green LED indicator?
  6. Just XLR cables for your monitors. Helix comes with a USB cable, that is all you need for connecting to your laptop and record in Reaper, as well as doing backups and updates on Helix with the Edit software.
  7. Mine didn't reject the factory presets, so I guess there is still room for improvement.
  8. Emulator/modeler...tomato/tomato. Keep playing around with your preset. You may find something that works for you. Keep in mind though that real amps have "fizz" and the "sizzle" seems to be accentuated in the full range realm of the Helix. You may find that some cut in key frequency ranges below 9k can help as well, but only your ear will tell. If you are trying to cut the fizz in high gain tones, there are lots of guys on here that can help you through that. It seems the high gain tones are where most players are hearing things they are not used to with "real" amps.
  9. It is true. I noticed the difference and changed my new ambient reverb (Glitz I think...) to stereo version in my go to P&W preset. It comes before my cab/IR so it still comes out mono in the end.

    I NEED HELP!

You can still open a support ticket with Line 6 even though you bought it used. I suggest doing that.
  11. Depends on the note divisions you have your delay set to. If you have your delay set to 1/8 note, and you tap 1/4 notes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) then you have 1/8th note repeats. If your delay is set to 1/8th and you tap on 1, 3, etc...then your delay repeats will be 1/4 notes because you are tapping half notes. It all depends on what beat you want your delay repeats to fall on. If you want 8th note repeats in 6/8 and you tap on 1 and 4, then you need to set your delay to triplet. So for every tap, you will get three repeats.
  12. Any of the delays with those settings will work, just pick your particular delay flavor.
  13. You also may want to check that you are on the current firmware. Previous firmware had issues and would not go into sleep mode.
  14. One of them is a shimmer. It's pretty good.
  15. Have you tried the 5 new ones. They are pretty good. Maybe not a replacement for the Big Sky, but pretty darn good.
  16. You could have the tremolo on all the time, then make the mix sweep from 0-100%, maybe on a parallel path.
  17. Little did you know.... what did you think made all that squawking noise on "Tea In The Sahara"?
  18. Check to see if your Furman is properly grounded. Technically, the metal housing of the Furman should act as a shield for the electromagnetic stuff going on inside the unit. However if the unit/housing is not grounded, it may not be shielding properly. EMI is a huge issue, and I think it is starting to rear its ugly head with all the new devices on the market that make is easy to add loops and loops of various components. There are so many AD/DA conversions and amplifier circuits in these modern devices. It makes is much more difficult to troubleshoot these issues and pinpoint where noise is coming from. I wonder is we may start to see the use of shielded cable being implemented on our meager little guitar rigs in the near future...
  19. I assign tremolo speed to an expression pedal almost all the time I use tremolo. That track sounds different though. Sounds like they are changing increasing the mix %.
  20. I don't know why all of you guys hate Andy Summers...
  21. The send/return blocks in Helix have level adjustments
  22. You shouldn't be treating Andy Summers that way. He is truly an icon. He may never sport the Line 6 brand now...
  23. Can you put the looper block in a parallel path, then assign that parallel path to a different output than the guitar signal output? I never really use the looper, so I have not tried to do this before.
  24. It doesn't matter. Andy Summers just keeps starting new accounts.
