If you have an issue with yours, open a support ticket with Line 6 and they will take care of it directly, including how the unit ships back and forth to their facility.

This is not step by step, but here is where I would put them: OD pedal, rack noise gate, rack compressor in the Helix loops. 4 cable method from Helix to your amp. You could use the wah in a Helix loop, or in front of the Helix: whatever you think sounds better. Volume pedal: that would be a personal preference thing. Or you could convert it to an expression pedal to interface with Helix.

If you have multiple blocks turning on/off with a single stomp and one of them is in the opposite state that you intend for it to operate, just go to that effect block and push the "bypass" button then save the preset. Pressing "bypass" will make the state the opposite that it was, but be sure to save the preset. I use stomps to turn on/off many blocks all the time with no issues.

I create a preset per song with the tempos pre-programmed. Even though each of the presets is identical (I have one main patch I use), the tempos for each preset is different. I don't like the clicking of tap tempo at church either.

Either a pair of XLR or 1/4" to your x32. You don't need worry about the sample rate (44, 48, 96kHz...) since you are not interfacing Helix digitally with another device.

Naw, ain't nobody got time for that.

I am not seeing the benefit of 7cm into an amp with two loops. You either want effects in front of the amp or in the loop. Putting effects in two different loops seems redundant unless there is something I don't understand about that amp. Maybe those loops are in different parts of the amp's circuit. It would seem however that it has two loops so you can control them independently with the amps foot switch so you have a little more control with different effects in those loops. Even then with Helix, that is not necessary.

Forum layout is fine for me. Maybe this topic will take over in popularity over the Helix tuner. And just maybe...that's what it was designed to do...

You could route a separate output (XLR or 1/4") from Helix with your mic signal to the L2T. Then use Link for all other signals.

There is an iphone app that will monitor midi commands over USB as well, but I have not used it or know what it is called. I know, fantastic help right there...

"Best results" is subjective. The best thing about Helix is that you can try before and after to see what they sound like very quickly, and you can do that faster than you can write a post on the forum asking for peoples opinions. I use them before, between amp and cab, and after the cab. Just depends on what sounds good to me at the time.

Are you monitoring your guitar through your DAW or directly from the Helix. If you monitor from the Helix directly, mute your track in the DAW and there will be no latency.

I hear crickets...

I never use it as a reference, just as a quick visual to verify the tempo is in the neighborhood of the song coming up.

Add an HXFX to your Helix Floor

Do you know what that band is using in terms of gear to get their tone? You will need that as a starting point.

Even if you could pull this off in Helix, you will find yourself deviating from that concept. Creating presets are so easy especially if they are just slight variations of a "big" preset with dozens of effects. That is what I currently do. Same preset template, but only stomps assigned that I will be using per song. The two switches on the left scroll up/down presets that correspond to the set list. That's why there are 1024 preset slots to utilize.

1. Models in Helix are much better sounding AND feeling than Firehawk IMO. 2. Yes you can do that, but you may find a lot of EQing involved going back and forth 3. You can still do WDW in the digital realm to FOH. IMO, stereo stuff live is kind of a waste for 90% of the audience from their perspective. 4. Helix has only one dedicated guitar input. There are returns and an aux in, but only one dedicated for guitar.

Put the volume/wah in front of the parallel amps before the signal split

Switching the tuner input to "guitar" and not "multi" seemed to help it tremendously for me. I use the on board tuner most of the time now, but I still have my polytune clips on my headstocks ready to go.

That is not necessary. The new update process has incorporated that. One thing I do though is reboot after importing or moving presets around in a setlist. That way it goes through the "rebuilding" process for those particular presets. I don't know if that is necessary but the unit does "rebuild" them so I figure it is important for best practice purposes anyway.

In the Helix, your output needs to be "multi" so that you hear is over what ever monitoring device you are using, as well as sending through USB 1/2. Then in Logic, you need to set your input for the track to USB 1/2.
