Save As-> New Name: text input Select Slot: dropdown [save_button] then they could write to Helix the selected slot. maybe switching to it Preserving the previous preset this works for both hardware and native the same way. Edit: Maybe 'Save To' instead of 'Save As'

It may need a power conditioner. I use one with a voltage regulator and UPS but the power in my house sucks bad. I would try the other suggestions above first make sure it's on the latest firmware and if it is I would try re-installing it. Might want to get one for 30 days and try it at the venue /\o/\ Furman Power strip. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SS6Block A little more for a rack: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/M8x2 A lot more for a voltage regulator. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/P1800AR I use this: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/F1000UPS

this is a great idea! setup an ideascale and I'd vote for it

After about 8 or 9 hours of Protools running I start getting intermittent static out of the monitors no matter where the audio is coming from. I'm not a recorder but I do work from home, sometimes I just leave pro tools running. I have to reboot the machine to get rid of it. Win7/64. I've never notice the recording being out of time though.

Click the 'HELIX NATIVE' logo on the bottom and click 'Restore Factory Setlists'

I use a damp cloth, not dripping, just damp (same with my computer monitors ). For hard to clean areas like the foot pedal I use an old toothbrush to break the grime free then wipe with the damp cloth.

Pete Thorn explained it in a way that I understood:

I don't know. I know that two of my friends have returned their mfc-101s. there is a question on this board right now about controlling the axe with the helix. And then there is Santana... Would Neil Schon use it if it was better than the mfc-101? /\o/\. 'I would think' a better midi controller is just what the market wants right now. 'I believe' that the future is modelers and/or midi controlled amp stations. But then I don't have the marketing information available. So all in all, just babbling my thoughts ;) Upvoted the idea scale. edited to remove too many blank lines

hmmm...so the helix doesn't validate a file before loading it? that would seem like a bug to me, well more than a bug but we can leave it at that. I would test but I'll take your word for it ;)

i took a blank preset, exported it, deleted snapshot7, re-imported it then exported again and snapshot7 was back in the new file. @pedalstate is set to 2 on mine, not sure what that means /\o/\.

those are power conditioners which he already uses with the furman strip. they dont' have a voltage regulator.
-
I use one of these in my rack: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/F1000UPS I was really going for the voltage regulator but the UPS was less expensive ( although tons heavier ) Voltage Regulator https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/P1800AR not sure if that's your issue or not but I sleep better knowing it's there

Do you think it might have overheated? I'm not familiar with the cpus used in the helix but it sure sounds like some kind of overheat protection kicked in.
-
that looks nice, please post back with how it works out! Are you going with the USB audio interface?
-
This is a great question! I'm also new and would like to know how this works.

I purchased one of these for the main screen. I like the way it protects the edges around the screen. https://www.glenndelaune.com/patch%20downloads.htm#xl_Screen:32Protector Tablet protective film? Nice idea. Getting some for the scribble strips and footpedal screen.

agreed, I don't know of any other way but I'm far from an expert.

something like this?

this is what I meant. My response wasn't very clear :/

I'd pay dearly for this mod

I just checked on my helix and the dim appears to be working properly for me on the top and bottom rows.
-
the manual has system requirements.

That's just beautiful. Nice job!
