Sorry if this is a dumb question, but did you run the update to the amp? You only need to send the latest one, btw, and actually, I believe utility tells only gives you the latest one. After that, the only thing you would need to do is pair your tablet with the amp. You would pair it before starting the app. Then when you open the app, it should show up.
-
When you're in the app, if you go to the main menu, you should see the amp listed. It will say "Amplifi 150" with "connected" under it. You can stream audio via BT outside the app and without the app being synced. That's what was happening in your case. Prior to the last update, the Android app wasn't supported, so that's why you couldn't sync with the app.

It sounds like you may need to update the amp's firmware. Does the amp show up as being paired in the remote app? It sounds like you aren't able to control anything with the app, and that's obviously not the expected behavior. Also, if you have the old firmware, you would be limited to just 4 presets with the FBV. The additional banks were added later. If you have a PC, you can use the USB utility to update the amp. The driver and the utility can be found here: http://line6.com/software/ If you have a Mac, you can use the app to do the update. Unfortunately, that take quite a bit longer - like 20-45 minutes.

Yes, as long as you change the input settings, it will work. Whether or not it will sound like you want it to, well, I don't know.
-
The patch was made for a Variax, so the inputs are set to Variax-only. You just need to select "Guitar" or one of the "Guitar+" choices for Input 1.

I actually think the Line 6 reverbs are very good for the most part. I used to have the Strymon BlueSky, but I ended up getting rid of it simply because I didn't think there was enough of a difference to justify keeping it.

The XLR outs on the HD500 are mic level only. On the HD Pro X they can be switched from mic to line, so, yeah, it will do what you're wanting. If you want line level on the HD500, you need to use the 1/4" outs.

You can slow a song down to half speed by clicking on the little clock icon that says "1/2" in it (see the attached screenshot). To get to this screen go to the library, select a song to play, and you should see what I'm talking about.

Is it possible to use bluetooth headphones with Amplifi TT?
phil_m replied to beaverboy56's topic in AMPLIFi
Well, the TT was designed to be hooked up to a home theater system either by the optical digital out or the RCA outs. It doesn't have BT streaming capability, though. It gives you a way to stream from your phone or other device to your home entertainment system.- 3 replies

This is a clever idea, but I'm pretty sure they aren't RGB LEDs around that knob - just red and white. It used to be that you had to actually use RGB to make white in the LED world, but it's not the case anymore. Actually, nowadays, the majority of LEDs sold are white. Well, technically, they're blue and the light is turned to white through a phosphor coating.

No, there's no way to do that with the 300 or the 400. They don't have any way to communicate with the HD pro. You could conceivably use the 500 as MIDI controller for the HD Pro, though.
-
You need to plug your speakers into the Amplifi instead of your PC. That Amplifi becomes your soundcard when hooked up via USB, and the best way to use it is as an input and output device.

Is it possible to use bluetooth headphones with Amplifi TT?
phil_m replied to beaverboy56's topic in AMPLIFi
The TT doesn't transmit audio over BT, it just receives it, so I think you would need something like that little device you linked to. You'd have to plug it into the TT's headphone out then link your headphones with it.- 3 replies

Sorry, I think someone gave you some misleading information if you think that. It doesn't matter if you buy it now or a month from now - the new amps in the model packs won't be free. The 2.6 firmware update will be free, but it does not include the new amps. Those are only available when you buy the model packs.

It's described here in this old XTL manual: http://www.manualslib.com/manual/381456/Line-6-Pod-Xt-Live.html?page=86 "Fawn" refers to the the color. The original AC-30s were a tan color. The main difference between this model and the regular AC-30TB is, well, the absence of the treble boost circuit (hence no "TB" in the name).

How are you monitoring? Do you have your speakers or headphones connected to the TT or to the computer. If you have them connected to the computer, yes, you'll probably have some pretty serious latency. If you're connected to the Amplifi, you should have virtually none.
-
Are you talking about the ones at this link? http://line6.com/support/forum-18/announcement-27-latest-hd500x-tone-building-videos/ They all work for me.
-
They all work now. At last they work in the sticky post. The ones in the first post in this thread are the old and broken ones.
-
What is the problem you're having?
-
Well, the Tape Echo is by design a more lo-fi delay. Have you tried the "Dry Thru" version? The regular version of that model affects the dry signal, and that may be what you're hearing. The Dry Thru version gives a you a clean dry signal.

Automatically changing Pod HD Pro X patches in reaper
phil_m replied to Ayiangoullis's topic in POD HD
You can turn effects on and off within a preset by sending the CC# associated with the footswitch you have them assigned to in the preset. As far as controlling parameters directly, you can't do it. You can control some indirectly by assigning them those EXP1 or EXP2 and controlling those with MIDI. -
Any new gear in development? Yes... for sure. Will they tell you about it? Nope... :)

That certainly won't work and could possibly damage the Variax (although I doubt that adapter actually sends power to the ethernet port). Even though the Variax uses RJ45 connectors and Cat5e cable, it's not ethernet. It's a proprietary protocol.
