  1. Not sure I understand the premise of your question. MIDI control doesn’t really give you anything that L6 Link connection doesn’t (other than I guess you can’t change amp models in the DT25, but you shouldn’t really need those amp models with the Helix connected). And you should be getting output from the DT25 with L6 Link connected.
  2. They mentioned it on a thread on Facebook.
  3. With headphones? I guess it depends on what you mean by fuzzy, but with the proper impedance headphones connected, or through decent speakers, you shouldn’t be experiencing any sort of universal fuzziness.
  4. I’d say the chances of 1,2 and 3 happening are very slim... The devs have basically said number 2 (the second number 2, lol) while not technically impossible, is infeasible because it would essentially require rewriting the basic architecture of the code from the ground up - not something any company is going to do with a hardware platform five years in.
  5. The Spider V is a class compliant USB core audio device for Macs, so you don't need a driver. Line 6 Updater should recognize it. Make sure you don't have any other Line 6 applications open when running Line 6 Updater.
  6. The input pad on the POD Go is a global settings as well. The input is only about a 6dB reduction, though. If your bass is really that hot, you might need to use the effects return set to line level as an input. The other option you could do is enable the input pad and then change the Volume pedal block to a Gain pedal in your guitar presets. It would act exactly like the Volume pedal, but it allows you add up to 12dB of gain to the max volume (so the maximum toe setting would be +12.0dB instead of 0.0dB as it is with the Volume pedal).
  7. The Helix modeling is fine. If you compare the same amp models on the Helix and the Axe FX III using the same IRs, the results are very similar. Like most things, a person’s success with the Helix depends on what they put into it. If someone just doesn’t like it, then by all means, play something else. As mentioned above, I still have the FM3, and I don’t find it “kills the Helix” in a anything, really. I feel it has a particular type of sound, and I feel that a lot of the amps start to sound the same after awhile. As far as the polyphonic stuff, Line 6 has been very clear about the DSP requirements for that. The Axe FX III uses a totally different processor than the Helix - one that likely couldn’t easily be used in floor format device (which is probably why Fractal uses the SHARC processor for the FM3). As far as the Fractal artist page, if that matters to to you, it matters to you. I’ve personally not heard of most of the artists on that page. Many of those artists endorse a bunch of companies, so it’s not like they’ve signed a blood oath with Fractal, or that’s the only thing they’ll use. Steve Vai, for instance, uses the Fractal stuff for effects only. Anyway, these are the Line 6 forums, and coming here and badmouthing them is simply a bit rude. You shouldn’t be surprised when you get pushback.
  8. Cliff, how many times do we have to tell you to stop posting here?!
  9. Literally anywhere that sells USB cables is fine. There's nothing special about the one that comes with it. It's just a regular USB 2.0 cable.
  10. Only the EL84 power amp section is modeled.
  11. Just download and install the latest version of HX Edit . That will install the latest drivers as well.
  12. Your wav file seems to be blank.
  13. From what I know about the Line 6 folks, most of them are using Macs. I think it's just that Apple has made it more challenging than Microsoft for third party developers to keep up with things over the last few years. It's ironic, because Apple's reputation is that they're always associated with the creative industries, but Apples seems to make life hard for companies. You'll find many, if not most, of the other companies making plug-ins and whatnot are in the same boat as Line 6 as far as catching up with Big Sur. It seems like many of them just got caught up to Catalina not that long ago. Seriously, who needs a major OS update every year, anyway?
  14. There are two shimmer reverbs currently - the Octo Verb and the Plateaux. Are you looking for a different kind of shimmer?
  15. The THR10 ii can connect to the G10 transmitter wirelessly. It has a wireless receiver built in. To pair the transmitter with the amp, just plug the transmitter into the amp's 1/4" input for 15 seconds so the amp can go through the channel selection process and set the transmitter to the correct channel.
  16. I just looked at this, and I know why this is happening... This happens because the minimum delay time for the Cosmos Echo model is 150ms. If select one of the note subdivisions that would set the delay time to a value less than 150ms, the Stomp will set the time to next highest value that's above 150ms. So if you are tapping a time, your repeats will still be in time. They'll just be a longer subdivision.
  17. As a Core Audio device, yes, 48kHz is the only option. On Windows machines, the Line 6 drivers offer different sample rates. I'm not sure if Line 6 plans on creating a separate Mac driver for other sample rates or not.
  18. The two things aren't related at all, actually. This is just how the factory presets (and I believe blank presets) are set up. The FX Loop block is always assigned to a footswitch in Stomp Mode. But you can clear the assignment and assign whatever other block you want to that footswitch. On the unit itself, navigate to the FX Loop block and press the < and > buttons together to enter the menu. Push down Knob 1 for the Bypass/Control menu. You'll see the word Switch above Knob 2. Turn it back and it select None. That will remove the bypass assignment. As far as assigning another block to that footswitch, it's described in the manual:
  19. I believe the Instant Commands for the EXT AMP outputs only work if you have the EXT AMP command(s) assigned to footswitch(es) as well. Otherwise they work erratically, like you're saying. I know this is how it was for a long time, and I'm not sure if it was ever changed.
  20. The HX Effects doesn't have amp or cab modeling, so it's not really the right tool for direct recording guitars. The HX Stomp would be what I'd recommend instead.
  21. It might be a bug, or it might just be an issue of the DSP not being able to keep up with the changes. If you’re wanting to jump from a preset in one bank to one in another quickly, I think you’d be better off having FS1 and FS7 set to Bank Up/Down rather than Preset Up/Down. Than you don’t have to scroll through all the intermediate presets.
  22. The signal to noise ratio of the original recorded track will remain constant. Normalization is simply a mathematical operation. The recorded signal doesn't change. If you have noise in the original track and gain it up, of course, the final mixed track could have more noise. But if you're talking about raising the level of a digital track after the fact, it doesn't matter is it's done inside the digital source or in the DAW.
