  1. The best way without purchasing moire gear is to connect your speakers to the UX. It will become tour soundcard, so you do not need to switch wires back and forth, just one time. Better would be invest in a small mixer and studio monitors. Or you could leave everything as is and just change the sound device in your DAW between the UX and you pc's soundcard.
  2. When you say upgraded, are you referring to a purchased license?
  3. Do you have an iOS7 or iOS8 device you can try?
  4. Technically your DAW is doing the mixing with your computers processing power.
  5. So you could either plug you speakers (I'm assuming powered pc speakers?) into the UX (optimal) or change the sound device in Sonar to your pc's soundcard when you are mixing. Trying to plug the UX analog outs into the pc for the sake of trying to using the UX during mixing with your pc speakers will likely cause issues.
  6. I far as I can tell, selecting no cab is the only way to disable the mic sim. IIRC changing cab sims did affect the AMP out sound which would imply the mic sim is on, I will double check this weekend if someone doesn't beat me to it. But yeah, given the price point, the feature set of the AMPLIFi line seems like a reasonable offering. I think Line6 wanted to be first to market with this concept.
  7. What I mean is how are you hearing it. PC Speakers, headphones...?
  8. Not too familiar with Sonar, but this is the type of cable to route the L/R analog outs to your pc's Line In. http://www.amazon.com/Hosa-CMP153-Cable-Inch-Dual/dp/B000068O3C How are you monitoring your sound in Sonar? The reason I ask is htere is probably a better solution than plugging you UX analog outs into your pc, and if you are wanting to that to use the UX as your interface for final mix, it is not the correct approach.
  9. Did you calibrate the Volume pedal after the update?

    line6 monkey

Did you try the downloads page? The have Versions of Monkey going all the way back to 1.10 in 2005. http://line6.com/software/index.html
  11. Just for clarification, is this an AMPLIFi 75/150 or the FX100?
  12. What are you using to record? If you do not use POD Farm or some other modeling, you are only going to capture the weak unprocessed guitar signal. Typically you need some form of amplification for this signal.
  13. A word of caution on Model Packs if you purchased your POD 2nd hand (the bean). If your bean has added model packs that you did not purchase or the previous owner did not gift, you may lose them when connecting to a computer. If you have model backs that you purchased on your existing Line6 account, not worries.
  14. Cool!! Glad you got it sorted. I think some USB ports on laptops are under powered, even though it is not recommended to connect to a hub, sometimes a powered hub is the answer.
  15. Just for clarification, the newest Monkey shows green ticks for everything? Are you recording via USB? Are you using Line6 ASIO in PT as your device? Rice Krispies?? Likely a USB bitstream issue. Did you look at the USB Troubleshooting Guide? (I know, it's a lot). http://line6.com/support/topic/217-usb-audio-troubleshooting/ btw, if you're a complete newb, how do you know you installed everything correcty :o . jk :D :D
  16. Did he previous owner gift the model packs to you or are you using his/her sign-in? Are you logging in with the same account you purchased the Bass Pack with?
  17. Plugging into the amp out disables the guitar to the main out, while routing the BT audio to the mains only.
  18. Keep in mind the PODxt is a legacy item., That being said, IMHO it is a good starter, the nice about it is you can direct record the modeled sounds, and use it as a standalone with no computer. However, the UX series offers a nice recording workflow, and gives you the plug-in. With a budget of $300, you should be able to score a POD X3, it is also legacy, but in a nutshell, it is a PODxt X 2, and comes fully loaded with all the model packs, and you would have POD Farm 1.12 plug-in. As you move forward, you may want to research compiling Audacity with ASIO drivers or moving into a DAW that supports ASIO. Are you familiar with amp micing?
  19. Unfortunately you purchased the i-Lok version, the Hardware Independent version has a 30 day money back policy. You might look into AAX wrappers.
  20. Can you can firm your current firmware on the unit (do not connect it to a pc). If it is 1.01, you probably need to flash with MIDI to USB cables first.
  21. Make sure you are calibrating the pedal after the update.
  22. In the Windows Sound controls have you tried disabling the HD Pro and explicitly selecting the Presonus as the default?
  23. Indeed, it's the only way to enjoy the Echo...
  24. +1 too BillBee A mixer comes in handy in this situation, doesn't have to be anything fancy. Also, a possible work around is to monitor the POD Farm Plug-In in real time via your DAW, depends on the latency.
