  1. Hi, That is probably the best course of action in this situation. As your HX Stomp XL is essentially brand new it is covered by warranty and you will possibly be advised to return it to the store where you purchased it for a fully functional replacement device. Good luck.
  2. Hi, To reiterate the comments from @theElevators in the post above - the first rule in Helix world is, when weird and/or unexpected stuff starts to happen, perform Factory Reset. I note that you have said that you had recently updated the Firmware to v.3.80. If that is the case, and you followed the Release notes (linked below), you would see that a Factory Reset is major part of the upgrade process. You are also prompted to backup, and restore your files after the reset. The backup file should contain your Global settings file, which contains the control settings for your foot switches. If that is not set correctly you may encounter issues with the switches. Hope this helps makes sense.
  3. Here we go again - if Line 6 have anything in development, they never reveal it until it’s ready to hit the streets. People comment that Helix is almost 10 years old, but that’s just the external hardware - see the video with Digital_Igloo below. Plus, people seem to forget that even though the Helix is approaching 10 years old, it actually started development way back in 2008. A little history from Eric on the 5th anniversary of the Helix launch, below. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  4. Why do you think that you need to use the Line 6 License Manger? It is not required to for Helix Native, simply download and install from the “HelixNative3.82.dmg” file. Once you have installed HXN in Logic, create an instance of Native in a track, make sure you are logged in to your Line 6 account and then click “Authorise This Computer”. It might be advisable to read this - especially page 4, “Installing Helix Native”, and page 6 “Deauthorizing - Moving to Another Computer”. https://line6.com/data/6/0a00051afef2673cd2e8a197b/application/pdf/Helix Native Pilot's Guide 3.80 - English .pdf The Release Notes for the update also cover Helix Native installation. Plus, Sweetwater, have a quick start for Helix Native. https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/getting-started-fast-with-line-6-helix-native/ Hope this helps/makes sense.
  5. Why? I’m with @rd2rk on this. The “Cab Update” came with firmware v.3.50 (which was released after the start of this thread), and seriously changed a lot of peoples views about the need for the use of third party IRs. As was recently pointed out by “Digital_Igloo”, every firmware update is like putting a new Helix inside the existing box. Why go backwards? Plus all presets suck! Hope this helps/makes sense.
  6. Hi, There doesn’t appear to be any real detailed info about this, other that it is a Legacy item. This is all the info available from helixhelp.com Analog Synth Based on: Line 6 Original Synopsis These are great for funky synth guitar (or bass) lines. These sounds were made popular by Moog and ARP. Available Parameters Wave Filter Decay Mix Level You could try checking through some of the old POD manuals which may have more details. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  7. Hi, You could try this. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  8. Hi, Erm… no! It’s exactly as the name implies- it is a controller for the Rack module. The main rack unit doesn’t have any capacitive footswitches for Preset/Snapshot selection etc., they are on a separate device. If you are considering a trade up to a Helix Rack in may be advisable to do a little research - start here: https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a3f63bf5fb6a4a7df95a/application/pdf/Helix Rack and Control 3.0 Owner's Manual - Rev D - English .pdf This is the controller part of the rig, and they come at a price - I’ve seen these at an additional cost of anywhere between 20 and 40% of the main rack. Hope this helps/makes sense.

Hmm… a couple of years after the original post, you’re making a request for Auto-Tune. Well, if you read through the thread, you should realise that no Line 6 staff monitor this forum, and they seldom visit this user group. Requests for new features should be posted on IdeaScale. I’m also wondering, if this is “super essential” to you, how are you managing to function right now? Plus, what will you do until, or if, it is ever implemented, which I seriously doubt this far down the line. It’s a guitar processor with Send/Return sockets for adding dedicated external processing. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  10. Hi, It's generally a wise move to consult the Firmware Release Notes, and familiarise yourself with the required elements, and procedures that will be needed to complete a successful update. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  11. Already possible, provided that you are using Helix Native on a computer, which is something that some users do. I can’t comprehend that 3rd party Plug-in manufacturers would ever consider trying to re-write a library of existing software instruments, and effects, simply to run inside the Helix platform - nah, that’s a complete non starter. What you are asking is beyond the scope of what the Helix is designed to be - as noted by Digital Igloo, on a previous occasion - “Helix is meant to be the centerpiece of a larger rig, not a picture-perfect replacement for everything everybody could possibly want to connect to it.” Luckily, Line 6 added Send/Return sockets for additional processing. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  12. Hi, A couple of things - When seeking assistance from Forum users it's a really good idea to supply as much information as possible regarding the computer and operating system, you are using. Also, there is a pinned topic on the first page of this forum that is entitled:- O.K. Here we go - under the section entitled “How do I update to 3.80?” Pay particular attention to the points 3, 4 and 5. Check that you have followed all the update procedure instructions to the letter, and if the issue persists, then come back and ask again. Hope this helps/ makes sense
  13. Hmm.. new computer running Windows 11? Could this be something related to the memory integrity and the driver? I’m a Mac user, so I maybe misremembering something that first cropped up a couple of years back, where Windows 11 users found that switching off Core Isolation Memory Integrity feature fixed some issues. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  14. Hi, There is the option to use MIDI, but you won’t have the display. There is already a remote for dealing with this - it’s called HX Edit, but it requires a computer and a USB cable. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  15. Same comments as the others - It works for me and look for the blue line. Also, you could try reinstalling HX Edit v.3.82 to see if that fixes the problem. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  16. Hmm… are you sure you read the article? I ask because it would appear that you didn’t quite grasp what was being expressed. Your first post mentioned a couple of important things that were covered in the article. I would like to get these sort of sounds for my bedroom and lower volume sessions. I've ruled out an FRFR speaker because I want it to feel as close to a real amp as possible (not a recorded one playing out of monitors). I’m intrigued because are asking about amp/cab combinations for bedroom level duties? This sort of listening environment is generally better served with a pair of 5” studio monitors, or a decent pair of headphones. This would give you complete control over the playback, and listening to, what appears to be a Fender Super Reverb in the Blake Mills screen shot. Yes, that amp was included in the latest v.3.80 firmware. Here’s a video from Steve Sterlacci for a little more insight about playback systems. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  17. Hi, You could try checking these posts re: Native and Mainstage. Or, there is this from TGP. It seems to have a solution. https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/helix-native-mainstage-3-optimization.2226778/ Hope this helps/makes sense.
  18. Hi, Oh, dear - here we go again - I think you really need to read this! https://blog.line6.com/2023/09/15/eric-klein-at-least-half-of-your-modelers-sound-is-determined-by-your-playback-system/ Hope this helps/makes sense.
  19. Ah, yes - the Apple Gatekeeper jumping in whenever it thinks it sees a threat. Bypass the damned thing! This is fully documented in the “Helix/HX Update Doesn’t Work? Look Here!” link that I posted earlier. I even put a link back to the Apple Support page regarding the Apple Security issues. Just in case anyone else missed it:- https://support.apple.com/en-us/102445 Hope this helps/makes sense.
  20. Hi, Nope - not automatically from a foot switch, but you could do it yourself, using your foot and an expression pedal to control a Gain block. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  21. Hi, When all else fails, this has usually worked for folks having installation issues. Remember, this was put together a few years back now, so any reference to version numbers will need to be substituted with the latest versions. Trust us, this usually works. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  22. HI, Yup! Just type "Helix Native for sale" into the search function at the top of the landing page of this forum, and watch it light up! You can also check this: Hope this helps/makes sense.
  23. Hi, For a first post, it seems you have not read the comment from Digital_Igloo about 4 posts earlier in this thread, which he posted in here almost 5 years back. If it hasn’t happened by now, then don’t hold your breath. I realised long ago that the built in looper was not designed to be a full blown performance effect. No, those nice folks at Line 6 added FX Loops so you could use a dedicated unit to do the job. Note: I have 4 different loopers for different jobs. Oh, yeah, just to be clear, Digital_Igloo is actually Eric Klein - Line 6 Chief Product Design Architect, the ultimate authority on Helix. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  24. Hi, When seeking assistance from Forum users it's a really good idea to supply as much information as possible regarding the computer and operating system, and DAW, you are using. We need to ascertain, if it may be an issue with the specific DAW, or your hardware and monitoring system. Anyhow, in this instance, and as it is your first post, the first thing I would suggest is that you download the HX Stomp XL 3.8 Owner’s Manual and read through the section that deals with USB audio and recording on pages 65-68. https://line6.com/data/6/0a00051afe12673ccd29b29f5/application/pdf/HX Stomp XL 3.80 Owner's Manual - English .pdf If you do that and then still have difficulty, simply come back here and post a follow up question. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  25. Hi, The chances of someone just happening to have that particular part laying around waiting for someone like you to need it are probably zero. If anyone had a broken Helix, then they are most likely to have had it repaired. This is the standard response from Line 6 Q: Can I fix or modify my Line 6 device myself? Can I get repair assistance from Line 6? A: If your Line 6 product needs repair, we strongly suggest you contact the nearest authorized service center or distributor in your region. For safety and liability reasons, Line 6 does not supply customers with repair assistance. Line 6 does not offer repair assistance, circuit diagrams, blueprints or schematics to end users. Line 6 does not support the customization or modification of Line 6 products, outside of official firmware updates or hardware upgrades. Any attempt to modify or self-repair your unit will void your warranty. Line 6 have a couple of Service Centres in the U.K. Contact either one, or both for an estimate on cost and turn round time. Hope this helps/makes sense.
