  1. I have some problem with the sound from Windows 10 and iTunes, cutting off after a few minutes of playing, while the HD 500 is connected to it. This has just happened within the last 3 days. The only way to get the sound back is to restart the laptop. iTunes works fine if the pod is not connected. The pod is fine if the iTunes is not playing. I reinstalled the pod's drivers but it made no difference. What is going on? I will try a new cable and reinstall iTunes tomorrow.

    New Update

Yes, I already follow those tips, but sadly it doesn't help. :) and no need for apologies, LOL

    New Update

Why would you consider it a sarcasm? I like to be able to quickly find patches during edits. In fact I would like to see a search design like the one in Guitar Rig 4. Just type a song title and see the preset for it. :)
  4. I used to use sonar, and it gave me problems with audio. I am glad that I found Reaper, very easy to use with the HD500 and HD Edit. All I do is, first connect the Pod to the laptop with the USB, run HD Edit, start Reaper DAW and record. You must make sure to start the HD Edit first, then you can run any other program. Really, you shouldn't need another interface.

    New Update

It would be great to have a functioning HD Edit... It is frustrating to go through a tone build, save the changes, only to find that somethings has failed or a bug lowers the bloody volume... Something tha happens allot wile the HD500 is connected with a USB. One thing that is really needed, is a searching field. It's difficult to find where the presets are!
  6. Can this "double" connection then be the problem of my JTV-69 freeze the HD500 if switching the HD500 while the JTV-69 VDI cable is already plugged in to it? The only way I can make the two work without issues is if: 1) first switch the HD500 and after a few second connect the JTV-69 2) switch the HD500 while the JTV-69 is connected to it with the VDI cable and a 1/4" jack (one end CONNECTED, ONLY TO THE JTV-69). I had this issue after a firmware upgrade. It is likely that I had both the VDI and the 1/4" cables connected at the same time to the HD500. This is easily done as I run into upgrade errors when having only the VDI cable connected to the HD500... I must have connected also the 1/4" to both the JTV and the POD.
  7. Can you share the information on what you are using for connecting SLM with the HD500, as o am having problems using a standard MIDI to USB cable. I think that set list maker is the way forward to keep patches easy to find for all gigs.
  8. My HD500 does have the same symptom, when using the HD Edit. This include different, inconsistent volume when switching patches back and forth and problem engaging FS1-FS8 switches. Other times it all works fine. It has always done this from the first use.
  9. yes, already done... was told to take it to a repair centre... ;( this problem was definitely caused by the update. i cant afford to have it looked at.
  10. yes, all updated to the latest release.
  11. Oh! I see what you mean. I doubt it is that as I would expect other problem to occur while in the HD Edit. I would not want to start replacing stuff unless totally sure. Is there a simple test that I could do with a multimeter?
  12. Have tried before... as stated in previous posts, but without success. :( Also, reverted back to previous updates, again with no luck. I will try yet again later. As far as I know, the "Standard's" guts are the same as the JTV, ones would assume they should be working the same. The only thing visually noticeable, is the brightness of the model selection knob's LED. On the JTV is at least twice as bright.
  13. Hello guys, I am back to update this thread. I have tried one of the new Variax Standard with my HD500 and on switching on the pod with the guitar attached to it, had NO issues, works fine but connecting the JTV69, it freezes. So that proves that the problem is with the guitar update, not the HD500! As anyone had any success to rectify this problem? Cheers.
  14. Try disconnecting the USB cable, then : close everything, restart the podHD, restart the computer, make sure that thre are no programs sharing the sound card, THATS INCLUDING INTERNET BROWSERS. Plug in the USB cable, Start Monkey and retry the update. Hope this helps you.
  15. How good is screen visibility in direct sun light (outdoor, midday gigging situation)?
  16. How well could users be able to see the screen during a mid day, outdoor gig? The monochrome display of the HD500 is great for that!
  17. Did you sort the problem?
  18. First, double click the patch preset, make sure that it is selected, then send it to the Pod.
  19. I can't understand why Line 6 is not allow us to download a report software that can tell what is wrong with their equipments. It should be a simple matter for such a company, surely. Many of us have had problems during the latest upgrade/s, I had no joy with my problem either.
  20. Sorry to read about your problem, my Pod HD has similar problem. Here is the thread I started. Please report you problem to Line 6 by submitting a new Ticket, I hope it can get sorted for us soon. http://line6.com/support/topic/13653-hd500-with-jtv69-problem-after-update/
  21. Try restarting the computer, with only the needed USB device, and retry. If it still is not working, you have to remove the existing driver within Device Manager, in Windows.
  22. The guarantee has expired on all devices. Anyway, Line 6 does have such details already, from when I registered the products. What will the cost be please?
  23. My HD 500 has no issue (that I know of) with the tuner. Finally I got a reply from Line 6... 😮 They suggest that I have the HD Serviced... Thanks Line 6! 😕
