I too was looking for an answer... specifically changing presets during a song session, not saving a preset in reaper. Say staring a song on preset 01D and after 8 bars changing to User bank 2, preset 05C. How to in Reaper?

TS212 all the way! it is FRFR, so it will reproduce all the sound you feed it in. Try reposition the speakers, use Global EQ and save yourself some money.

Search for JBridge. I think that may work.

It's annoying and can't read text easily. There is no need to have it displayed within the reading section. Please remove it and add it at the top, with the rest of the links.

This happened to me when I upgraded to 2.52. It worried me for a moment. Maybe is to do with a "Wait" routine set too short? Anyway it works now. I notice that on the update thread, no longer show any reference to firmware 2.52. It feels strange not to see that when many still will have 2.52 displayed on their device. I am not goin to tempt fate by updating again soon.

I feel a bit unsettled now... I updated to 2.52 earlier but not without concerns. Starting with the Edit... the download faulted as when I started the installation, there was a warning displayed on the laptop saying that one of the PDF help file couldn't open. Sorted that easily, just downloaded the application again this time installed properly. Then after making a full backup of the patches and IRs I updated the firmware. After a while the completion was displayed on the laptop screen, saying that the HELIX floor would restart and re index the presets, but on starting up it froze to the initial screen. I made sure to wait long enough for things to get going but after a good 5 minutes of mo activity I switched the HELIX floor off and restarted it after 30 or so seconds. From there it completed the upgrade. It seem to work OK on what I was working on, which I was dealing only with a template's preset. Fingers crossed. I want to take this opportunity to still thank Line 6 for the previous 2.50 release. I love the new amps!

From the photo I read Helix RACK. I can't remember if the floor version firmware is different from the rack version but I think that might be the problem. Open a ticket for help on solve the problem.

How can I listen to an MP3 player to the Helix LT
line-6-user replied to Tobleronelover's topic in Helix
Can you please post a link for the camera connection kit, as the one I purchased from eBay will only connect once and for only a few seconds, after which if stops working and flashing a message that says it's not compatible. Thanks. -
La mia Helix è pericolosa!! My Helix is Dangerous

The Helix editor does not have a search facility, something that I have requested in the past. I find this hard to understand, with the amount of presets possible.

I still believe that Line6 should implement a phantom power notice on the display, flashing red when is on, it can't be difficult to add in the next firmware update. Someone told me that there was a problem with early production but I'm dubious about it being that I purchased mine last May. What is Line6 word on plugging in a dynamic microphone while the Helix is on? Just to clarify... my helix was OFF when I connected my Dynamic microphone. I have seen many occurrences were sound check has been done and another singer want to plug in their Dynamic microphone in the mixer while is on. Never seen those mixers' s mike input fail. With the Helix, I'm am worrying every time I go to switch it on, in case something fails on it, you could say that I am scarred from that time the mike input failed and when I switched it on after the repair, the screen was white. I assumed that the repair centre tech person didn't fully attach the data connector on. Anyway, the shop decided that was not acceptable and ordered a new Helix. Hope I won't have to return it back for repairs.

You can use external MIDI controller to do that for you. I use an app with my iPhone called Set List Maker to select presets with a single touch, you can use an external foot switch if needed. The App can be programmed to trigger any MIDI event to and from devices. If you were to use backing tracks, then presets and settings within the Helix can be programmed to trigger automatically during the performance. I simply use it to create my Set List and tap the name of the next song, then the App activates the preset in the Helix, trigger, a flashing metronome (the drummer likes that) on the iPhone and starts the scrolling lyrics. But it can do much more.

So, basically, when the time comes to part with the Helix, current users won't be able to have a reference from the possible thousands of presets and IR combinations previously created? Unless that is, ones buys the Native version. Start to wonder if tha latter isn't the real reason for the lack of the missing feature.

I use a software called "Set List Maker" with my phone to trigger MIDI Data from it, to the Helix Floor. The software is really great and can be used for many different tasks with live performing. For this to work, I need the MIDI CC info from the Helix. It is a pain to read MIDI information from the Helix when I am using it as an audio interface and using Helix Edit. It means that I have to bend down under the desk to read the Helix screen. Pease make the info also available on the Edit software! I have logged the idea on: https://line6.ideascale.com/a/idea-v2/902658 Please up vote this if you think it would help others also.

Why can't we have this feature for the Helix editor? It was possible with the HD500's editor. I sold my HD500 but I can still see my custom presets in the old editor, so if I want to rebuild them I'm the Helix I can still see them as a reference of what was used. I vote for the idea.

If you want to see how the wave change when you tweak parameters and use Reaper (DAW), load the oscilloscope plug-in, in effect monitoring. Zooming in on the wave and start tweaking. I can hear the sound change when tweaking the bias x when the preset uses higher gain or distortion effect but not hearing anything about the ripple effect.

I set up my patches with just enough gain as needed, not any extra, then fine tune with my volume pot to taste.

I do have the JTV 69 and updated the Helix floor to 2.30 without noticing any problems other than the old Edit did not uninstall and the update did not show the new factory preset... not until I restored the Helix by holding buttons 9 and 10 together while switching the Helix on. So far the JTV is working as it did before the update. If you try to update again, make sure that you have only the very basic/least USB devices connected to your computer, to minimise possible problems, that include the disconnection of the guitar from their HELIX. Hope you get your problem resolved.

Sorry to learn that your Helix failed. My Mic input also failed. Being that it was only a few months old, it was repaired but when it was returned to me, it had another problem so it was replaced with a new one. Line 6 did the right thing there but the situation needs to be resolved somehow... maybe with some code in the next firmware! And a flashing warning while the phantom power is activated? Hope your Helix in under guarantee as I don't think there is a workaround.

My helix's pedal is also quite stiff when used with the foot and have considered loosing the nut a bit, like you, I want to know if this is standard and best for the device or it's better to loosen it. How do we measure for average tension?
