  1. I have not been reading this forum, but I stopped in today and found your post. I posted the following in July 2015: " When I plug straight into my DT50 set to the factory default topology I, (I chose that for the clean Fender tone) most of the models sound like they have been mixed with a banjo or Dobro model. It is most prominent at the beginning of the note. It is a plucky sort of sound. I don't really notice it with the 89 bank I just installed. When I let a chord ring, it sounds a little like the sitar model is mixed in, especially with models in the middle position of the selector switch. I don't really hear it on the Jazzbox models but the Semi and R-Billy are the most prominent." I went back and forth with a lot of re-flashing and tweaking and finally sent it back. I got lucky and found an 89F that I am really happy with. Did you end up getting another?
  2. I got a used JTV-89F from GC. It came with the soft case, documentation, the VDI/USB dongle and cable, another VDI cable with the Neutrik thing (only on one end), and a battery charger with four batteries for $800. Most important of all, the guitar itself sounds and plays great! It was actually set up pretty well when I received it. Better than a new 59 and a new Standard I had to return for different reasons. Go figure.
  3. I play my JTV 89F > VDI into 500X > Pair of Alto TS112As and your patches sound really good. Thanks!
  4. The wrench should be attached to the bottom of your POD.
  5. LINE 6 DT25 is a 25 watt amp that can be switched into Low Volume Mode (LVM) that is 10 watts. In 25 watt mode, the power amp section uses EL84 tubes and the pre amps are the same modeled pre amps in the POD HD. In LVM, both pre and power amps are modeled. It integrates perfectly with the POD HD via L6 Link or can be used independently.
  6. Here's the 1.9 sounding models cruisinon2 mentioned if you like to try/tweak them. You can find more from http://www.vguitarforums.com/
  7. I did not notice until today they have already dropped the price of the rack version by $100. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/line-6-helix-multi-effects-guitar-rack/j23116
  8. What are your input settings? If you do not have an input for "Input 2", the signal will not reach Path B with just two amps in your chain.
  9. Not that any has found. http://line6.com/support/topic/16791-anyone-done-the-treble-bleed-mod-on-jtv-69/?p=126062 psarkissian posts a comment after the post linked above.
  10. Am I missing something obvious? I don't get what this means. Wiring?
  11. You also need a guitar cable plugged into the 1/4 inch jack. Then you will have a green light on the guitar side of the USB/VDI cable. Not sure about version 1.70/1.71 deal.
  12. I have not been having any problems with my Line6 gear or connecting to any of the Line6 resources. Now that I have read your post, you have convinced me to sell it all. Thanks!
  13. Not sure if this is what silverhead is referring to, but I got this from http://www.vguitarforums.com/ Elantric
  14. Green light on computer side and flashing red on guitar side of the VDI/USB cable? Both a battery and a guitar cable plugged into the 1/4 inch jack are required.
  15. Unless I'm reading this wrong, pwik states he/she can make topology changes via L6 Link between the Helix and DT25 when using v1.0. http://line6.com/support/topic/17178-firmware-rollback-issue-dt25hd/?p=126687 Does this not accomplish the Helix/DT integration asked for on ideascale?

  17. Although I can not find his post, I seem to remember psarkissian, a Line 6 employee, previously warned JTV users that using VDI and 1/4 inch outputs at the same time would overload the JTV's circuitry which would result in damage to the JTV. I got the impression from his post that is was not a matter of if damage would occur, but would only be a matter of time before it would occur. I will also say that other forum members dissented from psarkissian's assessment. I do not know if they have been using both outputs simultaneously for any length of time or not. I can only say that it was only after receiving my third Line 6 modelling guitar that I found one, IMHO, worth keeping. I don't want to risk possible damage to it by ignoring psarkissian's post. I wish we could use both outputs at the same time. Fortunately, as a result of a previous update, it is possible to direct the mags and a model into different paths using the VDI connection into a POD. Edit: I do not know if selecting guitar for your POD input (as opposed to Variax or Variax Mags) negates psarkissian's overload warning. Perhaps this is what you (jandrio) meant in your post. If psarkissian would be so kind as to post a comment on this subject, it would be appreciated, i.e., Will the JTV see a load (causing an overload while the 1/4 inch out is also loaded) on the VDI connection (mags or modles) if it is only being used as a controller?
  18. You can flip the pedal controls so the minimum for the reverb and delay are achieved at toe down, i.e., 50% minimum to 15% maximum.
  19. You will see the deduction after you add it to your cart and click on your cart to view the contents. As to their value, you can audition them for 30 days and decide for yourself. http://store.line6.com/termsofsale/#returnpolicy
  20. Not at all. I'm a noob too. Always learning something!
  21. Thanks for the bump Brazzy. Hope it is as nice out where you are as it is hear in NC. We will be taking out my Suzuki BOSS out for a spin today. Can't believe it is this nice at the end of November.
  22. My username is CipherHost. It's an anagram. Iknowathingortwo is a label you get for so many posts. Yours is Just Startin' for now. I will guess that each speaker is rated at 90 watts (4 x 90 = 360). Plenty of room there! This may not be your cab, it looks like it is rated for 240 watts max, but I found only one manual I can read from the Line 6 manuals site for a 4x12 Line 6 cab. Here is the link: http://line6.com/support/manuals/412vst It has the information you need with easy to understand pictures of how you can hook things up. From what I can discern, you will run all four speakers in 4 or 16 ohm as well as using both pairs of speakers in stereo using both jacks.
