  1. Further to my previous post: This is not a new problem. People have been reporting this since forever - I got my Floor in 2016, so at least that long. Actually, it used to be more common, and whether thru specific coding or random elimination when other things were changed, it's become less commonly reported. Also, it's not specific to the Floor, it happens on my Stomp, too, and has happened less thru the updates since I got it (Stomp is also on all day). Or it could just be my imagination that it's gotten better, and it's so random.....IOW, while it COULD be a temperature problem, it would be specific to the components in OP's box, and if it was a bad component, it would almost certainly have to have gone bad concurrent to 3.0, or he would have noticed the problem in 2.92. OP mentioned the symptom of the audio turning to noise before fizzling out. This happened on mine very early on. I sent it in for service since I was getting random noises over S/PDIF, and they replaced "a couple of boards". It never did it again. I'm with phil_m. Open a support ticket! Even if you don't have a receipt, if L6 thinks it is a manufacturing defect, they might fix it anyway. They're really good like that.
  2. You said it worked before the update. Restore your Global Settings from your backup.
  3. The update changes your Global Settings. Since you followed the directions and did a backup before the update, you can just restore the Global Settings from the backup. Or, Global Settings>Footswitches>FS3 Function>Tap/Tuner.
  4. As phil_m said. This occasionally happens to me, but I've never been able to track it down, as it doesn't happen with any regularity, and my Helix is on all day.
  5. Global Settings>Preferences>Preset Number=000-125
  6. Don't know about 2.92, but it does do that (skipping Bank 1) in 3.0. Call support or open a ticket.
  7. Should work. Take the Line Out from the Vox to a Helix RETURN, put the RETURN Block in a Path B with the IR and the Path B output set to whichever Output is sending to Scarlett/PA.
  8. Hard to say for sure, but I just replaced the Poly Capo in my test preset and, with mix at 100%, no problem.
  9. FIXED! OK, I feel like an idiot. OTOH, I'm VERY HAPPY that it wasn't Helix. My external routing is pretty complicated. I had somehow duplicated a signal path, which didn't show any symptoms until I introduced the Pitch Capo on one of them. WHEW! What a PITA!
  10. Tried the analog outs, same same. Did factory resets on both my Floor and my Stomp. Setting up a simple test preset with just the Poly Capo and WhoWatt with all the factory defaults, same result on both devices. Tried just using the out block set to XLR, straight to Powercab, L6 Link disconnected, same same, so no parallel paths involved. Since this is the same on both devices, with all Factory Reset defaults, it would SEEM to be a 3.0 bug, but since many others have been singing praises of the Poly Capo, I just dunno. I'll call support on Monday when they re-open, but in the meantime, if anybody has any suggestions, I'm open!

    2.90 update miss

Don't forget to START with installing HX Edit 3.0, then do the FW update from HX Edit.
  12. You have a lot of options for how to make a preset for use with your amp. 1) Straight ahead - This is a simple preset, similar to using a traditional pedal board, using Pre effects (OD, etc) into a Helix Amp to Post FX (delay, reverb) out the 1/4" (set to LINE in Global Settings>Ins/Outs) into the MVS FX Loop return. In this configuration you're using only the MVS SS power amp and speaker. Depending on where in the circuit Marshall put the Master Volume, it may or may not control the MVS volume, so start with the Helix Output volume low so as not to blow your ears out, then see how the MVS Master interacts. 2) Same as 1 but using a Preamp instead of the full amp model. I find that the Preamps sound more raw and trebly than the full amp, so if the full amp sounds muddy, try the preamp. 3) Same as 1 but adding a Helix Cab or IR. In this configuration the Cab/IR is essentially a type of EQ, changing the way the Marshall cab sounds. As brue58ski said, sometimes it works, sometimes not. Try it with both the full Helix amp and Preamp. 4) 4cm - this is the most complex and option rich configuration, Using an FX Loop Block L between Pre FX and the Helix amp, before Post FX, you take the Guitar into Helix Input, a TS cable from the Helix SEND (TS is the LEFT send on the Stomp, set SEND/RETURN L to INST and set RETURN TYPE to RETURN in Global Settings>Ins/Outs) into the Marshall Input, the MVS FX send to the Stomp L/Mono return, then take the 1/4" L/Mono Out (SEND/RETURN L set to INST because you want that level into the MVS Input and the Send/Return can't be set separately***) into the MVS FX Return. This configuration allows you to use the Helix amp OR the MVS Preamp OR neither (see 1), and you can put a Cab/IR in the Post FX segment assigned to a FS or Snapshot to try the preset with and without the Cab/IR. ***NOTE on the S/R settings - It's possible to use both L and R sends, one set to INST going to the MVS INPUT, the other set to LINE going to the MVS RETURN, but that results in TWO AD/DA conversions, which adds Latency, which affects FEEL, which is not desirable, and uses two S/R Blocks out of your 8. The ROI is not worth it IMO. Some folks will say always do this that or the other, but one of the nice things about the digital wonderland is that there are NO RULES! Whatever sounds good TO YOU is right! IOW, there's no one-size-fits-all solution. Have fun experimenting!

    MIDI playback device

Need more info. Audio feedback? MIDI feedback? The analog outs have nothing to do with MIDI. What's actually happening? What soundcard are you using?
  14. Now that I think about it, I didn't test using the analog outs, only L6 Link to Powercab, S/PDIF through the Scarlett and USB to Reaper with Helix as AI ((the Reaper recordings I mentioned), so only the digital Outs. Well, I did try headphones from Helix, same result. I'll try the other analog outs tomorrow.
  15. Don't forget Snapshots, which can also be controlled via MIDI.
  16. I've noticed this problem too, and it's not just the simple pitch, the new Poly Capo does the same thing. I restored my Globals from the backup, but I never used the Pitch effects because they weren''t Poly. Regardless, I don't see anything in Globals that might cause this. My update was easy, and I've done a reset since then. Interestingly, I tried recording it in Reaper. Even listening with Record Monitor ON, you hear it, BUT IT DOESN'T RECORD! Only the pitch shifted sound records. I messed with this for about an hour, using both the Helix and my Scarlett as AI, same results. I'm baffled.
  17. If you have the UNO chip, this is simple. Assign Block1=MIDI CC#111 (or whatever) Assign Block2=MIDI CC#112 (or whatever) CC1 (CNT1 in Behringer speak) CC#111, Value1=127, Value2=000 CC2 (CNT2) CC#112 V1=000, V2=127 Both values toggle the respective CC#s on each press If you have the stock chip you need to use two presets. Preset 001 CNT1 CC#=111 Value=127; CNT2 CC#=112 Value=000 Preset 002 CNT1 CC#=111 Value=000; CNT2 CC#=112 Vakue=127 The "toggling" method described in the FCB manual will only work to toggle one CC# at a time in a single preset. The difference in terminology described above as "Behringer Speak" is what the controllers are called by Behringer vs UNO_ControlCenter, the best editor for both UNO and the stock chip. UNO_ControlCenter costs about $22, but is worth every penny in time and brain cells saved. https://www.fcb1010.uno/
  18. 1) Yes, just no amps 2) Not sure, but I think so. Stomp has 8 Blocks, HXFX has 9 3) Yes, via MIDI 4) Don't know what you mean by "Exp Outs", but it can be done via MIDI 5) Yes, via MIDI 6) If you're using it in an FX Loop of a Floor, and don't need amps, none that I can see, and one less block 7) If you're using it in an FX Loop of a Floor, and the floor connected to the amp in 4cm, that's what you're doing. Keep in mind that each FX Loop in the total signal chain adds 2-3ms of latency. Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean that you should.
  19. Export the Stomp presets to a folder on your computer. Import those presets into the Floor.
  20. Update the HW directly from HX Edit. just click the little gear thingy in the lower left corner.
  21. AFAIK, all of the Strymon effects have MIDI THRU. No additional distribution box is needed. Just set each Strymon effect to a different MIDI Channel and use CommandCenter to assign the relevant commands to InstantCommands on the appropriate channels. Don't forget to disable MIDI PC SEND in Global Settings/MIDI to prevent Helix sending the default PC# when a preset loads. EDIT: same goes for other MIDI functions/Footswitches/Exp pedals - just assign them to the appropriate channels.
  22. Unless the amp is designed with a built-in load box (Suhr has one of these), the only way to get the PowerAmp into the signal chain is with an external Reactive Load box (Suhr has one of these too), taking the Line Out from the load box back to a Helix Return.
  23. Disable PC Tx in both the HXFX and Stomp. It shouldn't be necessary on the Stomp if there's no connection from STOMP MIDI OUT to HXFX MIDI IN. That prevents both units from sending the default PC# when a preset loads on either. You're wanting to change the Stomp preset from the HXFX when the HXFX preset loads. Yes? In Command Center on HXFX, set Instant Command (the lightning bolt) 1 to the PC# corresponding to the preset you want loaded on the Stomp. When you select the preset on HXFX, IC1 sends the PC# you configured in IC1 to the Stomp. If you want different Stomp presets to load via Snapshots on the HXFX, set different PC#s in IC1 for each Snapshot. There's no reason you'd need to double press the footswitch on the HXFX. If that is still happening, you've either got a bad footswitch or Command Center is still not configured correctly. Get a MIDI Monitor such as MIDIOX (free) and watch what exactly is being sent from the HXFX when you load a preset. This can be done over USB, so no need to disconnect the 5 pin DIN from HXFX MIDI OUT to STOMP MIDI IN. You shouldn't need the STOMP to HXFX connection at all in the configuration you're describing. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to do?
  24. By "Professional Grade" I'm assuming an i7. I'm also going to assume that you've at least checked the optimizations I mentioned, especially the processor setting, as opposed to just dismissing them because "other stuff runs". That done, uninstall Native with the provided uninstaller. Run a Registry checker to make sure there's no leftover related entries or other problems. I use CCleaner FREE version. Then reboot. Download a fresh copy of Native 3.0 and re-install. Open a NEW Project in LIVE, with just one track for Native. If you still get the error, just for giggles, try a different DAW. Reaper has an unlimited trial. If you get the same error in Reaper, I really don't know at that point. I've established that Native 3.0 runs fine on much lesser and older HW, and in multiple DAWs.. Maybe check with Ableton support (and the forum) in case they've seen this before? Good Luck!
  25. Attach a copy of the preset you're using and we can test it on our Stomps.
