  1. The panner is a stereo effect: are you summing your output to mono, perhaps?
  2. When you write a reply, note the "click to choose files" link. If you save your preset to your PC, you can attach it to your post in this way. In a nutshell, you want to map the "bypass" of the pitch wham to the exp1 toeswitch.
  3. Another thought: if you crank up the high cut in the looper settings, the repeats of the loop will be "softer" than the original signal. That might help make it a bit less harsh. Good luck!
  4. This is always the tricky part. I recommend that you practice hitting the record switch in time with your first note/chord, and that you start and stop the recording hard on the "one" beat. Another trick: set up a longer, silent initial loop, and add sounds using overdubs.
  5. One for HX Edit for Windows, one for HX Edit for OSX and one for just the firmware. As mentioned earlier, the easiest path is installing the HX Edit update, then using the Updater to get the firmware update.
  6. Another thought; check the output level of the 1/4 inch output. It might be too hot for the monitor amp.
  7. Not to be flip but personally, I avoid that problem by using a modelled overdrive vs. an external pedal. I don't think one can avoid the tap-dancing otherwise (barring using an FX loop block.)
  8. Here are some tips from this forum. Good luck!
  9. Along with all of the prior advice, make certain to consider your input levels: as an EMG user, I had much better results after adding input padding and lowering the impedance.
  10. Just a suggestion: Could you toggle slow/fast via a snapshot?
  11. The last time I ran into this, I cleared all the browser cookies related to the forum site and that fixed things.
  12. There is a global setting which toggles between the xp position being read 'globally' or being read per preset. I would see how that is set. Good luck!
  13. If you haven't already done so, download the manual and the quick start guide from this site and go through them. That should give you some base knowledge you will need. Install the drivers, editing software, updater, etc.
  14. Regarding #2 : if you are summing to mono before the output blocks, you should get the same signal through both xlr outputs.
  15. This begs the question, what harmonizing effect are you trying to emulate? Can you post an example?
  16. I think feeding it clean, single notes is the key. It just isn't capable of tracking all of complex content of distorted notes or full chords.
  17. This will sound weird but I'm being sincere: have you tried pressing it more firmly? I had opened a ticket (like DDragon suggests) and was about to send my unit in when I tried it "one more time for luck." A more-firm press was all it took. Good luck!
  18. Assumptions can definitely color one's perceptions. I'll just leave this here .
  19. On the plus side: there is a huge market for refurbished gear. I'll buy a referb from a reputable supplier in a heartbeat.
  20. It also can put people off if you create multiple accounts on a forum to express your concerns multiple times. A person might conclude that you are spamming the forum with complaints. Regards...
  21. I would think that if you aren't clipping at the input, you must be clipping at the output, somehow. What kind of output levels are you seeing on your recording device?
  22. Check the manual, page 44 regarding controller assignment. Good luck!
