  1. I would think an amp's effects loop would be looking for line level signals, like from rack gear.
  2. That's a bit tricky. I would think you would need a patch with nothing in it all - simply a pass-thru. Then, load the patch onto a physical Helix unit, plug in your guitar, set the input parameters you want and record it with your DAW. Then, load the same patch into Helix Native, play your guitar into your audio interface and adjust the input gain of the interface until it records through the DAW at the same level. Make certain that you don't adjust any other recording parameters in the DAW while making the comparison.
  3. For those still reading this: try the "block user" feature. You still see topics created by a blocked user but you don't have to read their comments, replies, etc. Regards!
  4. Personally, a good quality single speaker is what I would go with. Just my humble opinion.

"Anyway, I am on my way with the HELIX and I am sure that you wont hear from me again except to save me some time locating how to do something. " Oh, I'm sure...

Go easy... some trolls love to get people banned for stuff like this.

This is an honest question, meant in the most sincere way possible: If the problem you describe is a firmware issue affecting every Helix then how can one explain the hours of video tutorials and sound samples which do not match your description? Regards!

"Regards." Hey, at least they gave their regards, right?
  9. Take a listen to the new Double Take effect. It might give you what you need. Good luck!
  10. This may have been mentioned before but you might try changing the level of the XLR and 1/4 outputs from line to mic/instrument. You could possibly be clipping something in your chain and this would help spot that. Good luck!
  11. Just before the last patch, but having applied the 2.5 patch I've seen no change for the worse. Sorry! Good luck!
  12. This will sound weird but I had the same problem and even opened a Support Ticket with Line 6, thinking I would have to send mine in for repairs. But then, quite by accident I just pressed the stick more *firmly* and presto. No problems. Good luck!
  13. Somewhat off-topic, but wasn't this technique of putting the verb on one channel one of the VH 1 signature tricks? Maybe this bug is actually a "feature!" ðŸ˜
  14. Using a snapshot would be a great work around: one snap with fuzz on and impedance on auto, another with fuzz off and impedance to taste. Search the posts for a lengthy discussion of this issue.
  15. I use mic level into my recording interface, to give me more room to adjust the input gain. It helps protect against clipping, as well.
  16. Peter Hamm has some patch tutorials on YouTube which might answer your question about the compressor.
  17. From where did you purchase it? Surely they have some kind of return policy. 12/12 is less than a month ago.
  18. Sounds like it's not your thing. Any chance you could return it?
  19. I use an Ernie Ball VP 250k mono. I use a normal, TS patch cord into the `output` jack of the pedal.
  20. I would double check your output settings. I discovered that after the update my volume knob had been reassigned to "multi" when I had previously set it to affect only the 1/4 out. This made my XLR outs very low, which were the ones l was monitoring.
  21. For what it's worth, I haven't seen this problem after upgrading. Both the preset knob and the stick scroll when rotating.
  22. Window > Command Center, maybe? I'm not too well versed in the MIDI functionality.

    Helix 2.3 tips

I'm also loving these updates. The new GUI is great, the backup/restore worked like a champ for me and the new models are icing on the top. Thanks!
