My understanding is that Global Settings > I/Os > Knob 5 USB In 1/2 Destination allows rerouting of USB 1/2 to Multi, 1/4, or XLR. See Helix User Guide 2.0 Rev D PDF, page 50: See Helix User Guide 2.0 Rev D PDF, page 53 for USB Audio.

Helix's Phantom Power feature is in the Global Settings. The Studio Tube Preamp is in the PreAmps List. Here's a post I made from a while back: What was a great discovery for me, and may be of interest to other Helix Users, is that Helix has a Studio Tube PreAmp located in the PreAmp > Mic Models List! This Studio TubePre may be placed in Helix’s Signal Path(s) as a Block, once, or several times, and can be just as useful for guitar as it can be for Mics! Try it positioned early in the Signal Path.

Are M-series effects going to be included in the helix at any point?
MusicLaw replied to TheMcMillanator's topic in Helix
Hey! I'm fine with it being English. English works fine for Commercial Airline Pilots world-wide, and for HAM Radio use world-wide. -
Using Chrome's Settings, Clearing the Cache and Cookies has been working for me. Early tomorrow (Thursday) morning (4AM PDT) Line 6 will begin working on their Server database infrastructure. Hopefully, this will remedy the access issues many have been encountering the past weeks regarding the Knowledgebase and User Support Forums.

According to Line 6, the User Manual is revised only for each Major (Full Integer) Release. Their statement was that they do them in each International language version, and the resources to revamp the User Manual for each interim firmware release has not been what they have done thus far. All that being said, it would be nice to have all the updated features well documented in a comprehensive PDF available also as HTML for those who prefer either format. I do not agree that it has been an issue of being lazy. -
Do yourself a favor and check this periodically: versioning

Line 6 Updater v 1.14 was just released March 8, 18 😊 -
One Full Charge cycle is from battery shut down to Full Charge -- regardless if this occurs over several partial recharges. In other words, charging to full then using 1/4 of the battery capacity (for example, 2 hours of transmit time), then recharging to full capacity equals only 1/4 of a Full Charge Cycle. Do this Four times and you have reached One Full Charge Cycle. Most Lithium Battery powered devices have a life of between 300 to 500 Full Charge Cycles. That would be about 2400 hours (at least) of G10 Transmit time at the rated 8 hours of transmit time per G10 Full Charge. Lithium rechargeable batteries do not have anywhere near the memory problem of NiCd nor NiMh batteries. Partial charging or topping off a Lithium rechargeable battery is not a problem.

Personally, I wouldn't make any premature conclusions. Helix has only reached its level 2.x firmware. Give it a bit more time to see what firmware 3.0 brings later this year. I've been hoping that the Helix L6 jack may (in the future) support Yamaha's DXR Spkrs L6 jacks. Time will tell....

Yup. This is the third version of the sliders in the Editor software. Not too fat; not too thin.

When left fully inserted in a guitar, such that the G10 Transmitter's micro-switch remains depressed -- the G10 Transmitter will either: a) remain in Transmit Mode (for up to 8 hrs rated Transmit battery life), or, b) after 4 minutes of no signal from the pickups switch to Standby Mode (for up to 200 hrs rated Standby battery life). Note: If the guitar's Volume Pot is not turned down fully it is quite possible for a Strat's single coil pickups to generate signal from ambient RFI or sympathetic string vibrations from other sound sources which will prevent the G10 from ever going into Standby Mode. YMMV.

The BeyerDynamic DT-770 exist in any of Four (4) different Impedance variations: 32 Ohms, 80 Ohms, 250 Ohms, or 600 Ohms. The first three variations are commonly available. The 600 Ohm variation is less commonly seen. https://north-america.beyerdynamic.com/catalog/product/view/_ignore_category/1/id/2912/s/dt-770-pro/ There are also a few special purpose versions of the DT-770. DT-770 M with increased ambient noise isolation (35dB) for Drummers and FOH use; available in 80 or 32 Ohm version. There has also been a DT-770 Limited.

Way to go Andy! Thanks. :)

This is from the TGP, and it works for the Line 6 Utility. Not sure if it makes a difference with Helix Native. It did not work for one other non-Line 6 Utility that also does not scale to 4K.
-
Just now realized this is the Helix Native Forum. Apologies for the earlier post. I typically have several Forums open (Helix, Native, Relay, TGP, etc.) Would you post a screen capture of how minuscule Helix Native appears on your Win 10 display.
-
There seemed to be a problem with the code earlier today. According to Line 6, that was resolved and the discount should be applicable to Helix Native full version and Helix Hardware Owner price levels as well. The original Poster should revise the Thread's Title once he successfully gets the deal done.

The new HX Edit version 2.51 scales perfectly on Windows 10 4K UHD Displays! However, the Line 6 Updater version 2.12 has not been updated to properly scale on the 4K UHD display. Thus, if you run the Line 6 Updater, you'll need to use the Windows Magnifier feature (or a real magnifier to read the display). If you are intending to install and upgrade your Helix unit to the latest 2.50 Firmware, simply download and install HX Edit 2.51. It will handle the installation of the latest firmware. However, it does (apparently) use some of the Line 6 Updater routines, as during the installation procedure, the display is not properly scaled to 4K UHD on Windows 10. Hopefully, Line 6 will revise their code so this soon is no longer an issue.
-
@StefanLeipziger, be aware that the current version of Helix Edit software is 2.51. The current Helix Firmware is 2.50. The current version of Line 6 Updater is 1.12. To update your Helix, simply download and install the Helix Edit software and follow the directions. If you have any custom Presets you wish to backup, do that first. And, after you complete the Update, if you want the newest Factory Presets, you must manually perform the PowerOn + FS7 + FS8 to Reset and Rebuild all the Presets. Then you would Restore any of your backed up custom presets.

MOD: Input / Output Marks on the rear panel (Rear I/O Panel)
MusicLaw replied to Chris_Zahn's topic in Helix
Great labeling ideas! Time to bust out the Brother P-Touch Label machine and put it to good use. -
To make certain that you are dealing with a clean slate, download and install the latest version of Helix Edit 2.51. Follow the installation steps and this will handle installing the latest Helix firmware 2.50. Then after it is complete, do another full Factory Reset (PowerOn + FS 7+ FS 8) to rebuild the Presets! If you have any custom Presets, be sure to Backup these first! The type of pickups (and electronics, on your guitar or in your signal chain before Helix, if any), can have a significant affect on your Tone. Other than the above, I too would be suspect as to the type of headphones you are using with the Helix.

How can I listen to an MP3 player to the Helix LT
MusicLaw replied to Tobleronelover's topic in Helix
@Tobleronelover, if you use the Stereo Analog Cable method, insert an FX Return Block in your Preset's Signal Path! If you dedicate a Signal Path to your MP3 Player, you may redefine the Input Block to use the FX Return. Either way, a Gain Block in the Signal Path, makes it really easy to adjust the playback volume, and, you can assign the Expression Pedal to act as a Controller, or define a Footswitch for the Gain Block and Use Pedal Edit Mode. -
I'm confident the Line 6 Dev Team is hard at work on these Reverbs, as well as continuing to optimize many aspects of the Helix platform as they get closer to converging and consolidating the Helix Core code across the platform. As Digital Igloo recently posted, he anticipates that it may be several (he mentioned three) more months. I can't imagine that with all the effort getting these several new HX level Reverbs out the door for fw 2.50, they aren't still working on improving Reverbs, Delays, and much more! And, keep in mind that later this year we may see what they have in store for fw 3.0.

See this post (yesterday) on TGP: https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?posts/25811583/ Not sure it will address the issue you have identified, but they will be working on the Mix Parameter. You may wish to submit a Support Ticket just to be sure this is brought to the Support Team's attention.

Contrary to your experience, the two licenses of Helix Native I purchased from Sweetwater (one for myself; one for a friend) were confirmed via a Sweetwater email containing the Activation Code for each license. You should check your email Spam folder. And, yes, the Helix Native Activation Code is in the PDF of your Purchase History once you log into your Sweetwater Account.

Submit a Support Ticket with Line 6 right away! They should get your squared away under warranty.
