  1. you'll probably need to open a support ticket or call Line6 directly to get that answered. http://line6.com/company/contact/
  2. you need to add the fx loop to the tone turned on after the amp, should work. the fx loop wont work if you dont add it to the tone.... maybe you did and it's something else?
  3. yes... whatever the output mode is applies to ALL outputs.
  4. should be able to use gearbox and pod farm licenses easy enough. no known issues with that platform.
  5. If i remember correctly James Tyler has famously made basses for Anthony Lee formerly of Van Halen.
  6. yes, that's basically just 10 times until you have to have it reset... they'll happily reset it for you, being the registered owner it won't be an issue.
  7. that's the only version there is. the m5 uses the models from the m13 which were mature when the m5 was released and no further fixes were needed.
  8. should not be a problem at all, you can have up to 4 authorized at once... just authorize it again. you can call or do a support ticket to get it cleaned up though. http://line6.com/company/contact/
  9. there's more than one screen in the license manager, on the left hand side.... you might need to change from my computer (default) to my devices to see the new licenses. this is from memory so i may have the exact wording wrong... and you may have already looked there, just a guess.
  10. They were designed specifically for the DT amps. But can be used whenever you like the tone.
  11. the license for pod farm is built into the UX1, thats why you need it... you can buy a license for pod farm independently that is not attached to the device if you want to use another interface.
  12. it was also the only post from the support manager that works for line6.... as in the only person likely to have that information handy.... so it's not that "interesting" since you posted the question on a forum full of users without such knowledge. if you ever have a direct question for Line6 you should open a support ticket or pick up the phone. http://line6.com/company/contact/ the forum is useful for gathering ideas and experiences of other users.
  13. volume needs to be turned up and 1/4" needs to be plugged into the guitar.
  14. yes they are full models... they never had the DEP controls modeled... but the power amp is factored into the model... they are all made up line6 models anyway... so i doubt there was a"modeled" power amp... but the effects of the power amp were factored in and the model is a FULL model... in fact if there had ever been any pre models of these.. they quite obviously would have been included... they are 100% full models (preamp+power amp) yes saying that is incorrect:
  15. every new model in the packs have FULL models.. (preamp+power amp modeled) only the newly HD models have PRE-models. the lack of DEP control on the ported models is because those factors were not modeled on the previous platform.... the power amp and preamp WERE modeled together....
  16. I think she was just at the end of the amp list and only saw the pre versions.
  17. Not that they are. Just that they are available also as.
  18. No I meant pre amp models. As in pre's
  19. anything in the metal pack that does not say HD and the acoustic amp in the vintage pack. Everything else should be fine. Vintage pack has the most pres
  20. No. Your supposed to edit from the unit itself or use a previously supported operating system. Not what you want to hear. Other users have managed to get it working with different workarounds. Line6 support applies only to the operating systems that were supported at last release. Myself and many others have had no issues with the hd pods. Your friends experience is not typical however unfortunate. None of which helps your current predicament.
  21. They are not the same. DMX cables would likely work just fine. But for a permanent install I would recommend to get the correct ones the first time. For your own piece of mind and future ease of use.
  22. this was not a matter of laziness, or a matter of any sort of inability.... these were the most requested models on idea scale.... that and you'll also notice... they were all line6 original models.. meaning they aren't representative of any particular actual amp... i'm certain that they were modestly tweaked to be formatted and included in the HD platform... any drastic changes or new modeling and they would not have been the models that users requested anymore.... besides... i think many people are missing the DSP benefit... these older models should user lower DSP and make more options for dual amps available. also... none of those models had the benefit of the M-series effects previously... anyway just saying... they are what they are intentionally... and they have their benefits/uses. giving the metal guys what they asked for, can't be an entirely bad thing....

  24. no new presets.... roll your own.
