  1. If you are comparing what you hear through I real amp compared to POD Farm, it is likely your patch. I couple things to look at, make sure your gate isn't lopping off the initial attack. If you are using high gain amp sims or something like a TS in the chain, too much gain can kill your sound. Do you have any model packs or just the PF standard? Can you post a clip of what your recording?
  2. Could be dirty pots. With the power off try gently working them back and then park them at 0.
  3. +1 to Silverhead You will also need to hit the "send to pod" button to write the changes to the pod
  4. If you purchased a Toneport, you can use Pod Farm 1.12 for free. Make sure you are using Pod Farm 1.12 and not 2.5
  5. I would put the CS-3 and DS-1 before the POD (pretend the POD is an AMP). Running the POD's output into a DS-1 is probable killing your tone and adding the buzz. Then play around with the NS-2's threshold. If you still have problems yes connect one thing at I time. Example, just POD, then Just DS-1.... If all 3 are fine seperately then start adding the pedals in frint of the POD one at a time.
  6. +1 to BigChas52 Download the newest Monkey and go from there. Also, is there a specific action that cases this? For example, if your UX loses USB communication while a program is using its ASIO drivers you can get a BSOD. This can happen from a faulty USB cable, port, or if you remove the USB cable with a DAW open.
  7. When did you buy it? If it is within 30 days of a software purchase (not i-Lok though) contact Line6, after 30 days no refund. http://line6.com/support/tickets/
  8. Have you run the Line6 Monkey to ensure you have green ticks for everything?
  9. You can google it, I seem to remember somebody writing drivers for Line6, of course it is not supported by Line6, but might be fun to try. You can also submit a request here http://line6.ideascale.com/ But I suspect it won't get voted up too high
  10. Make sure to point to the proper folder with the .dll
  11. +1 to Zap. If you're concerned about using the plug-in in a 64bit DAW, most will easily bridge a 32bit plug-in
  12. fyi... this is a user forum that Line6 rarely monitors. If you run the Monkey and have green ticks for everything, please fill out a support ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/
  13. You should only use a high quality electrical contact cleaner. if you can't tell the difference at any normal listening levels I would try not to worry about it. I have a bit of OCD so I know that is easier said than done. If I remember tonite I will see if my UX2 behaves the same.
  14. Did you double check the license manager after uninstalling PF2? And Monkey gives you green ticks for everything?
  15. If you connect headphones directly to the UX2 do you hear the same hum/buzz? It may just be the modeled amp, especially if you are using high gain.
  16. It might not have been de-registered by original owner. I would submit a ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/
  17. Might be a failing power supply.
  18. There was a Mac update that fixed some issues too. But yeah, if they include a disc, it should have an ***Attention!!! Please Download Latest Monkey!!!*** But I guess if you have no internet it may be better than nothing?? You can always use the disc as a coaster, flying disc, or installation art!!
  19. Any reason you do not want to use the 1/4" Line in? But to answer your question, yes, you can use the cable shown, my guess is the Cube's aux input will mono sum.
  20. Either way should work. Of course you will want to make sure you patches are adjusted/panned correctly if you are not going to send stereo to the PA of box.
