  1. Did you purchase the POD Farm 2.5 hardware independent software or iLok? Or is this POD Farm 2.5 that came bundled with a Line6 POD Studio?
  2. When you run Monkey you have green ticks for everything? Does Reaper freeze when you select Toneport UX2 ASIO? I would try installing POD Farm 1.12, it replaces Gearbox for the Toneports.
  3. I don't use Guitar Rig or Skype. Does Guitar Rig have the ability to have a separate signal path for each input? If so you should be able to set up a dual tone in POD Farm and have Tone A be guitar and Tone B mic (or vice versa) and pan hard L & R. Then don't add any models to the mic input.
  4. So you leave your powered monitors on all the time? Power speakers on last and off first is pretty standard. An easy remedy would be to invest in mixer. Doesn't have to be fancy, a small one would do. This way you could turn master down when powering on or off?
  5. Are you capturing wet/dry or both? Do you a POD Studio UX1 that comes with the POD Farm 2 plug-in? A typical work flow would be to capture wet and dry stereo tracks simultaneously, then add the plug-in to the dry track post processing. You can configure this in the POD Farm mixer for sends 1 thru 4. You would then enable those sends in your DAW. Also make sure you are using Line6 ASIO UX1 as you device in your DAW.
  6. Thanks pretty decent, especially considering the recent announcement concerning support of legacy products.
  7. You should call Line6 directly or open a support ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/
  8. I would recommend investing in a mixer. I small one should suffice.
  9. Run the newest version of the Monkey to make sure everything is current. http://line6.com/software/ Then in Reason when selecting your audio device you should see something like : Line6 GX ASIO.
  10. I would try to flash it on another computer. Also, if you are an electronics tech, you might take a look at this thread. http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/74156 ***Disclaimer*** I am not recommending any user to try to attempt this. Only offer the info as a last resort.
  11. Are the headphones connect to the PODxt? If so, do you still hear the noise when the PODxt is NOT connected to a computer, or does it work fine?
  12. Is it like loud bursts off white noise? If so, that is almost always related to interruptions in the USB bitstream, there are several possible causes. Check out this doc http://line6.com/support/topic/217-usb-audio-troubleshooting/
  13. If you run Monkey do you get green ticks for everything? If so I would submit a ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/
  14. Is this a (black-faced) POD Studio and not a (red-faced) Toneport? If it is a Toneport you may only be eligible for POD Farm1. Use the CD as a flying disc, coaster, installation art or dispose of it. Run the newest version of Monkey to assist updating everything. If Monkey can not find the UX1 try different USB cables and ports. You should have green ticks for everything. During the driver installation do not plug-in the UX until prompted to. Post back if you still have issues.
  15. On the 2nd part did you pull the faders back on everything except the guitar to highlight the issue? If not, there is way more wrong than POD Farm, unless you used it on the drums and bass too. What type of POD Farm do you have? Hardware enabled tied to a Line6 device like UX2, PODxt, X3, ect... A purchased software license-hardware independent A purchased software- iLok ??
  16. I would contact Line6 directly http://line6.com/support/tickets/
  17. When it takes you to the empty cart. Click the software button. Then by the add-ons drop-down select your compatible device or standalone software.
  18. Make sure everything is current by running Monkey. Also make sure you are selecting Line6 ASIO PODxt Live as your device in your DAW. I would not use POD Farm while recording with the PODxt Live. I would use the xt to monitor the wet but send the dry to your DAW.
  19. I would go ahead and authorize it on the new account. Even though you get 10 lifetime authorizations, Line6 can reset them for you if you call or submit a support ticket.
  20. What I am trying to ask, is what are you using as a recording interface to get your guitar signal into your DAW?
