  1. The Micro Terror Dark has an 8 ohm speaker output. Just unplug the speaker from the Spider Valve, and plug it into the Orange.
  2. You can find updated software here http://line6.com/software Forget about GearBox. Use POD Farm 1.12 instead. Line 6 Monkey will update your drivers to the latest. Don't install POD Farm 2.5 unless you want to spend some cash. It's not free, but POD Farm 1.12 is free.
  3. I don't believe so. Rocksmith uses it's own 1/4" to USB cable. You might want to pose this question to the Ubisoft folks, not Line 6.
  4. I believe that POD Farm must only be able to find the UX1 for authorization, but can work directly with another audio input. You would still need both connected.
  5. Install the latest version of Line 6 Monkey, and update the Line 6 drivers to the latest version. You can use POD Farm 1.12 instead of GearBox.
  6. Yep. I actually have one, and used to use it on stage with a POD X3 Live. I would first, make sure that my patch didn't use stereo effects. I used the left/mono input on the PB only, and only used the mono out into my speaker
  7. Here is a link to open a support ticket with Line 6. http://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html I wouldn't expect much love on this one though. You're asking Line 6 to go and change their current product in order to make it work with an obsolete (2 full revs back and probably unsupported) version of Reaper. Good luck.
  8. You do not need to use the effects loop setup. Just use the line in's with the UX1's analog outs. Plain TS cables. No Y adapter necessary.
  9. Use the PB's line in's as L & R line in's. Forget about the effects loop. The line in's will sound fine. The effects loop is mono, and you would need a Y-Adapter for it. As far as using the XLR out, the Crate PB150 puts speaker modeling on the XLR. You'll need to account for that in adjusting your tones on the UX1.
  10. Not all mics have huge gain. Make sure that your gain settings are high enough on the UX1 (dial on top), and in POD Farm, if you are using it. Testing the mic & box on another device is an excellent idea. Make sure that the "Pad" is not engaged on the mic. That will also reduce the volume.
  11. The external box should be supplying the phantom power. After that the UX1 should work fine. UX1 does support condenser mics if you are using external phantom power as you are trying to do.
  12. You definitely need the 48v phantom power box to get a condensor mic to work with the UX1. What box did you get. Does it call for an external power supply or batteries?
  13. Are you using the latest drivers? You can find them at http://line6.com/software
  14. Yes you can use the modeling with the 1/4" jack. You cannot "remote control" the guitar unless you use the VDI cable though. Forget about the ethernet type plug in the front of the Spider Jam. It's not for VDI. As far as the battery goes. Even though I use an HD500, I run my Variax on battery, with a 1/4" cable because I use a wireless transmitter. I simply change guitar models manually when I need to. The battery will get you through hours of play and is rechargeable. I purchased a spare, just in case the one in my guitar runs out, but I've never needed to use it. Think of using the Variax the same as a normal guitar, except you can change models with the turn of a dial. The 1/4" will serve you just fine. Don't worry about the VDI unless you get a POD X3, HD500, or Helix
  15. Line 6 drivers are not broken. El Capitan 10.11.0 is broken. Apple has released an update 10.11.1 that fixes the audio issue. 10.11.1 is no longer in beta, and is freely available from Apple.
  16. Sorry, no. The VDI cable will not work with the Spider amps, or with the FBV foot pedals. It will work with the XT, X3, HD, and (I think) Helix floor processors.
  17. To be fair, Line 6 didn't cause the problem either, Apple did ;)
  18. For very short runs, the 1/4" unbalanced should be just fine. The Yamaha EMX-640 has its own power amp section. You could cut the Crown out altogether. In any case, I don't think that running a power amp (Crown) into a power amp (Yamaha) is a good idea.
  19. HI friend . . . Good luck with your 59. You can just use a standard 1/4" cable and will have access to both the piezo's and the humbuckers. You do not need an HD500 to access all of the sounds. The HD500 gives you some remote control options. It allows you to change the guitar model, along with the amp model on the HD simply by changing the pre-set on the HD500. The VDI cable that you connect to the HD500 will also power the JTV, instead of running on battery power.
  20. You can still use POD Farm 1.12, and you will have access to your purchased model packs. Search for it in the downloads section. http://line6.com/software
  21. Do some basic troubleshooting. Eliminate the variables. Try a different USB port Try a different USB cable Try a different PC As far as having no sound from the Mic, have you selected the Mic as the input source in POD Farm?
  22. Hi Matt . . . As far as I know there is no factory reset for UX2. The only changes that are held in firmware are additional model packs. What's the problem you're having? Perhaps one of us can assist.
  23. Sorry, I no longer have Windows 8.1, and I don't use Audacity, but it's working fine with Reaper and Windows 10. The settings are staying where I put them, both in the DAW, and outside of it.
  24. Not all of Focusrite's products are immune from this. The Scarlett products seem to have squeaked by though. You can get more info here https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-8801
  25. Did you update your Mac to El Capitan 10.11.0? There is a known issue and driver incompatibility. Good news, Apple fixed this in El Capitan 10.11.1, which is currently in beta.
